Welcome to Penn Station!
We're back in New York City at the train station for another great tip.
Alright, this is the number one tip.
Get one of these.
There it is.
Moynihan Train Hall or Pennsylvania Station.
But do you see the skyscrapers behind it?
Fantastic!
Alright, you can see how big this building is.
These pillars are massive at Penn Station.
Alright, here it is.
Moynihan Hall or Penn Station in New York City.
It's the second busiest train station in the United States.
Only behind Grand Central Station.
But man, I just got here and I learned a fantastic tip.
If you're traveling to the cruise ports, buy train and then buy Uber or taxi.
So let's just get right into it.
I want to show you a little bit inside Penn Station because it's beautiful.
And we'll give you that fantastic tip that I just found out today.
Oh, it's busy in New York today.
And this train station's got a couple entrances.
Here's one on 8th Avenue and West 31st Street.
That's the entrance I like to go in.
And right across the street is Madison Square Garden.
And it's a beautiful day in New York.
You can see up and down these streets.
Let's just take a walk here and show you what it's all about, New York City.
Down here's a pizza station.
Over here is a Panda Express.
And you can see over there is KFC.
There's a pizza place right close by, right here.
It's New York Pizza Suprema.
Oh, and it smells fantastic in here.
Look at this.
There's the Upside Down Pizza of New York.
The Burrato.
The Margherita.
Oh, my God.
I'm in pizza heaven in New York today.
Look at this.
Right across from Penn Station.
Alright, did that pizza look amazing or what?
But now I want to get back off the streets in New York and show you about this hidden secret inside.
But let me tell you, you have plenty of time when you're coming back from the cruise ship.
There's a lot to see and do right at Penn Station.
Grab a bike.
Take a tour of New York.
Madison Square Garden right there.
Over there, oh, man, look at that.
And you can catch a cab, too.
There's the bikes.
And do you see all the cabs lined up over there?
They'll get you back to Penn Station if you want to take a cab from Cruise Port.
Alright, here it is.
This is how you get to the trains.
But I wanted to show you this.
This place is always here.
The gyro place.
They got all kinds of stuff, too.
Chicken gyros, falafel.
Man, cheeseburgers, cheesesteaks right here at Penn Station.
There's another food cart along here.
That's two brothers.
There's a long view of how big you can see this train station is.
Of course, it goes underground.
I look over there.
Four-boy, 99-cent pizza.
I might question the quality of that.
There's a lot of people in New York today.
It's around Christmas time, so that's why we're seeing all these people.
And like I said, we're on 8th Avenue and 33rd Street.
Or 31st Street.
There's a couple entrances to the train station.
But you know what?
You've seen enough of New York.
Let's take you in and show you my secret.
Let's just get in the train station here.
There's the one at the entrance.
On 33rd and 8th Street.
There's a couple.
Oh, this is cool.
1910 Penn Station.
This is a little bit of the history of how it came about.
But I like what this says.
In the old time, you arrived at Pennsylvania Station at the train platform.
You went up to the stairs to heaven.
Oh, and they got a Starbucks right inside the door.
Oh, and if you don't want to walk outside, they got a pizza place right here.
It's called Sauce Pizzeria.
It's highly rated, too.
Look how thin that pizza is.
That is true New York.
I've never seen pizza that thin.
It's like paper.
Look at that.
You like thin crust?
This might be the place to come.
Look, there's a ramen place, but let me tell you.
This place here is no joke.
I come here every time when I'm in Penn Station.
Jacob's Pickles.
The biggest chicken sandwich you will ever have.
One person cannot eat it.
It's a two-people sandwich.
Oh, and I love this bar.
Look at the size of this bar in here.
And this thing moves just like an authentic train station.
Look at all this.
And I'm going to show you there's another side to this.
Look, there's a chopped salad place.
There's a sushi place.
And here's a burger joint.
And this is not even all of the food.
They got more on the second level.
Does this place have everything or what?
There's that bar I told you about.
But let me tell you.
If you get hungry when you're getting back
to this train station,
or whether you're leaving,
there's plenty of places to eat
for sure in here.
And like I said, there's a whole other level.
But I ain't got time for that today.
Let's just get to that secret.
Oh, and they got a great selection
of top shelf stuff there.
There's the pastrami queen.
They must make sandwiches here.
I'm guessing.
Oh, and look.
If you're leaving on a cruise and you forgot something
and you're leaving from
Moynihan or Penn Station,
they got a Walgreens.
A super-sized Walgreens
right inside.
Alright, this place
is very famous
at the train station.
It's called H&H Bagel.
You see all the bagels they got back there?
There will be a line here
all day long.
And if you come to Penn Station
or Moynihan train hall,
I know I keep switching around
just to confuse you, but it's one and the same.
You gotta come up
to where the actual trains leave
from. If you're coming in on
a train, you're gonna be maybe on
the lower level. But you gotta
come up here and see
what this looks like.
It's beautiful and clean.
I tell ya, I've never seen
anything like it in New York.
But look up there.
It's got a glass roof.
And you can set
your watch by this clock.
Alright, let me try and do a 360
just to show you what we're
talking about in here and how
big it really is.
And they got these massive screens
pretty much the whole way
around. And there's one of
the gates you can see, 11 through 12.
You wait for them to call your gate.
But not with
the tip I'm gonna give ya.
You don't wait in line.
Alright, back there is where that food
area I just showed you. But this
is another tip. Because if you're
not really looking for it, you
might miss it. They got
a waiting area back here.
If you get here early, like I
always do, because I don't wanna miss
the train, they got a waiting area
that you'll need a ticket
to get in to be able to wait.
You can see it back here.
This is the waiting
area. You just show them your ticket
and they got seats, they got
charging stations. This is the waiting
area you got over here. You got chargers
even under the seats.
And here they got
a bench you can plug into.
Back here they got a restroom.
Alright, this is the
secret. He's taking our bags
and we're following up to the train
station here.
The secret way.
Lancaster.
There we are, waiting with our
luggage for the train.
And the gang's
all here.
They take you way ahead
of everybody else.
So this was nice, especially if you're
traveling with the group. We'll find out
when we ask it on
665. What's that
636? You better ask
it. 11 years.
Oh, these are roomy
up here, huh? Now, make sure
you're using the porter because you can
see, look at all these empty
seats here. We're the first one
on. But I hope
you like this video. We're getting
back to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
I tell you one thing, the porter service
is great. Just make sure you're tipping
these guys because really you're paying for
priority seating
this way. And that's
it. That's the best way
to get on the train first
out of New York. It's a number
one secret.
