【Classical music and nature Claude Debussy: Suite Bergamasque - IV. Passapied. This beautiful piece was presented by germanrecords. It is a royalty free music from Pond5.com.
Debussy's Suite Bergamasque has none of the usual meanings of "Bergamasque" in the sense of the original term for an Italian dance song.
Nevertheless, the musical history of the Italian city of Bergamo is remarkable. A kind of academy was established there early on, later even a kind of "conservatory", which specifically selected talents from the poor population in order not only to train them in reading and writing, as was customary at the time, but also to turn them into highly educated singers and musicians who did not need to shy away from international comparison. On the contrary, they were on a par with them.
In the Bergamo chapel at the time, there was a 40-strong choir with instrumental accompaniment, as can be seen from the surviving masses.
"The love of music is an essential part of the nature of the Bergamasque (inhabitants of the city of Bergamo, Italy); the literature of the "canzone montanara" has been remarkably enriched by the addition of the original musical products of the Bergamo valleys. Moreover, the town has cultivated music as a science and as an art since the earliest times; the whole musical life crystallises around the "Cappella di Santa Maria Maffiore" at the beautiful basilica of the same name in the old town, which really seems to gather, protect and animate the old town as well as the new town and the whole surrounding area around it. Even the music school, which has had a decisive influence on Bergamo's entire musical life over the past century, is nothing other than a derivative and descendant of the Cappella. The Consorzio della Misericordia Maggiore or Congregazione die Carità has existed in Bergamo since 1265. ... The leaders of the Misericordia decided to instruct the clerics selected from among the poor not only in reading and writing, as had already been done, but also in singing and playing instruments, in order to draw from them a core of capable singers and instrumentalists who would form the core of the chapel. The Misericordia therefore set up a proper music school for this very specific purpose within its existing Accademia di lettere."

這是Pond5.com的免版稅音樂。
