Carbonate System: Open System
The Carbonate system, considering an open system, is analysed for equilibrium when additional factors such as partial pressure of carbon dioxide come into play. Analysis of the system takes into account the transfer of carbon dioxide from the gaseous phase to the aqueous phase or vice versa. Gas-liquid equilibrium constants such as Henry’s constant are applied.
