You are listening to the Cello Suite no. 3 in C, BWV 1009 - 2nd Allemande, in 3/4 time, could therefore be danceable according to the information below:
"Allemande (French) is the name of an older dance melody of German origin. There are several types of allemande, namely, 1) the real and well-known German national dance in 3/4 or 3/8 beat, which is not now native to Bavaria, Schwaben and Baden and the northern part of Switzerland. It is related to the Ländler and has the character of calm, contented cheerfulness. The display of the dancing couples is similar to that in the minuet and the step is - u u . The execution is not without difficulty and requires an unforced, graceful movement of the whole body. In some regions the allemande is modified and performed in 2/4 time. A variation of the allemande, which was also remodelled by French ballet masters, appeared at the French court during the reign of Louis XIV; it was this variation that gave the entire genre, which is genuinely German, its French name. For a long time, this dance was not missing from any ball programme or ballet and was still so popular at the time of the First French Empire that it had to be performed in almost every theatre. It moves at a slow waltz (Ländler) tempo and consists of three so-called pas marchés, sometimes dragged, sometimes forwards, sometimes backwards, rarely waltzing; a graceful arm movement has to support the dance steps. Incidentally, the name is derived from the German, more specifically Alsatian, motifs on which it was originally based, just as the introduction of this dance at the court of Versailles was to a certain extent intended as a symbol of the artistic incorporation of the newly acquired Alsace. ... Handel as well as Johann Sebastian Bach's allemandes are considered unsurpassed models of this genre."
