In this video, we continue the discussion on how physics of transistors is changing with scaling and why diffusive transport is insufficient in explaining electrical properties of modern day transistors. For this, the Drude's model of electrical conduction is discussed briefly along with ballistic transport and quantum transport. We give a brief idea about the bottom-up approach that we will use in this course. Finally, the lecture gives an overview of the entire course.
