Hi guys thank you for watching. My name is Rizal. I am from Indonesia and I am currently living in Taiwan.
I had BTS card before, but it’s long long time ago already, so I think it’s expired. That’s why I bought one again during this trip. I feel it’s good to be back to Bangkok.
It was cold in Taiwan. When I went to Bangkok this time, I felt a big temperature difference. Actually this temperature here would be similar to Taiwan’s summer now.
As always, Chao Phraya River will always be my favorite. It has its charm that makes it so beautiful with many boats and city views around it. This time I went to the famous Grand Palace. You could tell how amazed I was when I went there. It’s definitely a place must visit in Bangkok. Anyway, on the video, I did not really touch my mouth to the temple. I would not do it and I really respect the culture and people here.
Even though it was hot, I tried not to give up my day by just staying at the hotel or shopping mall. I believe everyday we will have our valuable experience that we might not want to miss. I chose to stroll around Bangkok so that I could share my experience to you through my videos.
I would also be happy to hear your experience or opinions about Bangkok. You may share some thoughts in the comment section.
Thank you for watching this video. I will see you on the next episode.
In the
previous video, I mentioned about Rabbit Card, right?
It's actually an easy card that we can use to access the BTS.
Yes, it's BTS, Bangkok Mass Transit System.
Not the boy band.
In Bangkok, the train that operates on the sky is called BTS,
while the one that operates under the ground is called MRT.
So, don't get confused.
We just go out from exit 2 of this station.
And there you can see some boats.
We probably will take one of the boats.
But I see from the map, from the Google, that we have to take the boat to the next destination.
Okay, go.
Bangkok is one of the cities that has integrated boats on its public transport system.
I feel this is pretty special and I can't wait to experience it.
Express boat.
We have to take the express boat, not the ferry.
Unlike taking BTS, we don't need to tap any card here if we want to take the boat.
What we need to do is to purchase the ticket on a counter.
But first, of course, we need to know where we want to go.
We would like to go to Grand Place.
Even though sometimes it's queuing, the process of purchasing the ticket will be very quick.
The good thing is that the boat will come every 20 to 30 minutes.
Amazing, we will hop on the boat.
Stay here.
Of course, I want to see the view.
What do you feel?
Crazy.
Chao Phraya River is a unique symbol of Bangkok.
It's an important river that offers convenient transportation and sightseeing cruise
since it's located in the heart of the city.
Wow, it's so hot here.
It's a very sunny day.
Wow, amazing.
Let's ask what we should do.
We are heading to the destination and we have arrived in Data Pier.
Chao Phraya River is...
Looks so beautiful.
With a boat.
And a scenery around it.
Just right near to the boat station.
We know right, it's hot here.
I found this coconut and I just suddenly want to try it.
It's good to have some coconut drinks.
Based on the google map, we actually have arrived.
But I was a bit lost because I forgot where the entrance is.
We know Grand Palace is so big.
So let me ask someone here.
We're wrong.
We're wrong, totally wrong.
We walk from there to there and turns out it is there the entrance.
Okay, let's go back.
Since this place is a very touristy destination,
you will find many visitors from different countries.
We even could easily look for a guide who could speak English or Mandarin if we need.
Impressive.
And to enter here, we need to follow their dress code rule.
Yes, there is a dress code rule.
It is recommended to wear a shirt with sleeves and pants or skirt that covers knees.
This is just the entrance.
We haven't bought the ticket yet.
So we have to go there to buy the ticket.
And we can go around.
Wow, cool.
Let's go.
The journey is gonna start here.
So excited.
Actually, when you arrive in Bangkok and after Taiwan and then arrive in Bangkok in the day,
then you're gonna feel a very big difference of temperature change.
But when you arrive in the night, then you might feel
the air is getting less fresh.
And it's like getting hot.
But it doesn't hurt the skin.
But right now, it feels like...
It really feels on the skin very hot.
Yes.
Why I speak Chinese?
My first impression when I entered here is that...
Wow, I was amazed by how detailed they built everything in here.
Let me check this is gold or not.
This is very hot, right?
Yes.
So shiny.
You can see the reflection of the light.
Wow.
To me, this place reflects not only history but also culture and amazing artwork.
The Grand Palace was built in 1782 and for 150 years was the home of Thai king,
the royal court, and the administrative seat of government.
I believe it's the most visited and photographed landmark attraction
that you might not want to miss when you visit Bangkok.
Another unique thing I found is that we could sprinkle some holy water on our head like this.
Locals believe that this action is meant to get the blessings.
I think this temple is very, very beautiful.
Their design is magnificent.
There are so many characters in the design.
It's so many colors and touch.
Wow, amazing.
After staying under the sunshine for a few hours,
I would like to find some drinks.
So let's see what we have here.
This is a bird's nest drink.
I'm a bit curious about this because it's a bird's nest.
It should be very expensive but it's 120.
It's more expensive than others but it's too cheap for a bird's nest.
Do you buy it?
120.
Try?
Try.
Okay.
Here we could find many kinds of drinks with very affordable price starting from 12 baht only.
It's very convenient and good for killing the thirsty.
I don't know what's wrong.
every piece of me i want to show you that i'm
