Hello everyone, today I want to knit a beautiful half-round sunshade with the name Sunset with you.
That's what this beautiful wool is called here. This is the Tahiti Wolle Fashion from Schachenmeier.
A wonderful summer yarn. 50 grams have 280 grams of running length.
This is the color Sunset and it consists of almost 99% cotton and 1% polyester.
So a beautiful summer yarn.
And the great thing is, they really have a beautiful color gradient.
If you look inside, there are orange tones, then it gets lighter and later it turns into a beautiful summer yellow tone.
So a very nice color gradient.
It also has other great colors to choose from. I'll put the link in the video description below.
In addition, you need a round knitting needle with a length of at least 80 cm.
That means another 1 meter, because the cloth will be relatively large.
And as I said, it will have a half-round shape.
And as a special highlight, I'll show you how to make a beautiful crochet border.
And now it starts.
We start with a stitch count of 9 stitches.
If you don't know how to do a stitch count yet, I can also link a video below where I explain it again very slowly.
I start with 9 stitches.
I have 9 stitches now.
The first and last stitch is the border stitch.
The first row is very simple.
We just do a row of single crochets.
The first and last stitch is our border stitch.
I do a slip stitch into the first stitch.
That means I don't do a front post double crochet, but a slip stitch into the back post double crochet.
And I do a slip stitch.
And I do a row of single crochets.
The last stitch is a border stitch.
I do the last stitch by pulling the yarn to the front.
And I do a slip stitch into the first stitch.
And I do a slip stitch.
That was the first row.
We still have 9 stitches left.
And in the second row, we start working with single crochets.
Row 2
Row 3
Row 4
Row 5
Row 6
Row 7
Row 8
Row 9
Row 10
Row 11
Row 12
Row 13
Row 14
Row 15
Row 16
This is row 3-5.
It is quite easy.
We increased here.
And we made 14 stitches out of the 9 stitches.
Because we increased by doing single crochets.
And we want our scarf to get bigger.
So, row 3-5
We start with the right side.
Row 3
Border stitch
And now,
we do a right-hand-turn.
We do a normal right-hand-turn.
Here we do a normal right-hand-turn.
Here, we do a normal right-hand-turn.
And we do a normal right-hand-turn.
We will create a little hole pattern later.
But we will see that, when we have done a row of stitches.
Here we come to the border stitch.
And we do a normal right-hand-turn.
This was row 3.
Now, we come to row 4.
It is the same.
First, we do a border stitch.
Right-hand-turn.
And we do a normal right-hand-turn.
And we do another border stitch.
And we do another normal right-hand-turn.
Do row 5 exactly the same way.
Do the border stitch and the right-hand-turn.
And then we come back here.
So, now that you made 9 stitches on the right side,
we come to row 2.
And we do a normal right-hand-turn.
The first stitch is our border stitch.
We do one decrease, one stitch to the right and one stitch to the left.
Now we do a total of 4 decreases and one stitch to the right.
To do this, we put the yarn over the needle,
make a single crochet,
turn,
make a single crochet,
turn twice,
make a single crochet,
turn three times
make a single crochet.
At the end we have only one stitch left.
And we pick up the stitch at the end.
Now we have 13 stitches in total.
We increased by 4 stitches and now we have 13 stitches out of the 9 stitches we increased before.
We want to increase the number of stitches, because the scarf is going to get bigger and bigger.
The next 3 rows are very easy.
Row 3-5 we just knit right side out without increasing.
Now you knit your edge stitches and knit the remaining stitches right side out.
This turn of the front row we knit like a knit stitch.
Now you knit your edge stitches and knit the remaining stitches right side out.
This turn of the front row we knit like a knit stitch.
Now you knit your edge stitches and knit the remaining stitches right side out.
The number of stitches remains the same, we are still at 13 stitches.
Now you knit your edge stitches and knit the remaining stitches right side out.
This turn of the front row we knit like a knit stitch.
I knit these 3 rows right side out.
This is how it looks so far.
Now comes row 6.
Here I will use stitch markers to help me.
This will make it easier to remember the pattern later.
Row 6 starts with an edge stitch.
Then you knit one stitch to the right.
Now you use a stitch marker.
And then you knit one stitch to the right.
After the stitch marker you turn your work.
Again one stitch to the right.
And turn your work.
Now use a stitch marker again.
Repeat this until you have 3 rows left.
Now knit one stitch to the right.
Repeat the first row.
Another row.
Now knit one stitch to the right.
Turn your work.
Knit one stitch to the right.
Turn your work.
lift the stitches over the marker
the stitch markers are a bit cheap now
but I don't have any more
you can use those as well
I think they are even better for this project
I can link them down below
at the beginning they are still a bit messy
but it will get better later
so, do the same with the right side
knit
stitch marker
lift
knit
repeat
After the first stitch marker we do one stitch to the right and then we do a double crochet.
And then you do a double crochet until the next stitch marker.
One, two, three.
Here is the next stitch marker.
And then you do a double crochet before the stitch marker.
And then you do a double crochet to the next stitch marker.
One, two, three.
Here is the next stitch marker.
And then you do a double crochet before the stitch marker.
And then you do a double crochet to the next stitch marker.
One, two, three.
And then you do a double crochet before the stitch marker.
And then you go one stitch to the right after the stitch marker.
And then you do a double crochet and go to the next stitch marker.
One, two, three.
Here is our last stitch marker.
We do a slip stitch into the first stitch and pull it through.
Now, we have 3 stitches left on the right side, which we are going to yarn over and pull through on the right side.
So we have 2 stitches on the right side.
And we are going to yarn over and pull through on the left side.
This was the 10th row, which was an increase row.
Now, we are going to do rows 11-13 in the right side.
We don't yarn over here.
We are going to yarn over and pull through on the right side.
We are going to yarn over and pull through on the left side.
We don't yarn over here.
And we are going to yarn over and pull through on the right side.
Now, we have 21 stitches on the right side and 29 stitches on the left side.
So, we are going to do 8 increases in the right side.
Now, we are going to do rows 11-13 in the right side.
So, we have done rows 11-13 in the right side.
Now, we are going to do rows 14.
I am going to write down the 10th and 13th rows in the video description.
They are going to be repeated.
I am going to do another repetition with you.
In the increase row, there are always 2 stitches in front of the stitch marker.
And at the end of the row, there are always 3 stitches behind the stitch marker.
You can use this as a reference.
In the increase row, you are going to do this.
Row 14, one stitch to the right, one stitch to the right.
And then you are going to yarn over and pull through on the left side.
And after the stitch marker, you are going to do one stitch to the right and one decrease.
And then you are going to do one stitch to the right and one decrease.
The stitches between the stitch markers are going to increase.
Before the stitch marker, you are going to do one decrease.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
Yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Yarn over, pull through on the right side.
做一个越系,
yarn over, pull through on the left side.
Do one stitch to the right,
and then make a decrease.
Repeat the previous steps.
You can still not see much, but with the increasing stitches you will get a half-circle shape.
It's easy to guess, but you can't really see it until you've knitted up for a while.
You can still not see much, but with the increasing stitches you will get a half-circle shape.
It's easy to guess, but you can't really see it until you've knitted up for a while.
This was row 14.
We increased 8 stitches and now we have 37 stitches on the hook.
After the increasing row, you do 3 rows of single crochets.
You don't have to do it on the right side.
And now you do a single crochet in the next stitch.
I don't have to show you this anymore.
This was row 15, 16.
And now you do a single crochet in the next stitch.
I'm going to increase a little bit now.
And you'll see how the pattern develops.
I've already prepared a little bit and now I'm going to show you how the pattern develops.
First, you can see the beautiful color gradient of the wool.
I've already knitted one knot and now I've reached my second knot.
In the end, I'll tell you how much I've used.
And now you can see the pattern.
As I said, the cloth is already so big that it hardly fits here.
It still fits, but at the end of this half round I'll show you when the cloth is finished.
And here you can see this beautiful hole pattern.
This is what it always looks like.
Before the stitch marker, you knit a turn.
This is how this hole pattern develops.
After the stitch marker, always one stitch to the right.
And then you knit a turn again.
And here in the middle, I marked the middle stitch.
This is the first stitch marker.
Here is the second.
Here is the third stitch marker.
And then after the third stitch marker, this stitch is the middle stitch.
Here I put a stitch marker so that I know where the middle stitch is.
But you don't have to.
And then here again an increase.
And you can see the distances between the stitch markers.
The stitches are increasing.
Last stitch marker.
And this results in this beautiful half-round cloth.
I'll continue knitting, because I want the cloth to be a little bigger.
And when I'm ready, I'll show you how to chain the whole cloth.
I'm done with my desired size.
I have 405 stitches on this side.
The size is enough for me.
That's a little more than two buttons I've knitted.
And now I'll show you how to chain the cloth.
You can of course make it longer or even bigger.
It's up to you how much yarn you want to use.
We chain elastically.
I always like to do that with a cloth that will be tensioned later.
To do this, you simply knit two stitches to the right.
So here the edge stitch first.
As we know it from normal chaining.
And now you insert the needle with the left needle into both stitches on the right needle.
And then you knit the whole thing like this.
You can also take out the stitch marker.
Then you knit one stitch to the right again.
And again, I insert the needle with the left needle into both stitches on the right needle.
And knit.
I'll show you again.
Knit one stitch to the right.
Then insert the needle with the left needle into both stitches on the right needle.
And knit the whole thing.
And now you do this completely with all the stitches you have on the needle.
Chain until the end of the stitch.
So, I'm at the end now.
I still have two stitches on it.
I also knit them off.
And the last one.
Then you can cut the yarn.
Just pull the last stitch a little bigger.
And then you can tie a knot with your hand.
I'm going to sew the threads at the end.
And because of the elastic chaining, we now have a nice elastic edge.
I'm going to spread the cloth a little bit.
It doesn't quite fit on the camera, but I'll show you that at the end.
You can leave it like this.
The cloth already looks beautiful like this.
But I'm going to crochet a small edge.
I'll show you on the screen.
So, down here we have the straight edge.
And here, this arch, are the stitches we just chained.
So, this area.
And we're going to start crocheting single crochets from around here.
So, we start here on the right, at the tip.
Like this.
This is, as I said, the lower edge.
There's the hole pattern.
And I'm going to go into the first stitch here, at the right edge.
For this I take a crochet hook.
I have a 3.5 mm crochet hook, because I want to crochet loosely.
For this you take your yarn.
If you can't crochet, you can just leave the cloth like this.
But I'll put a playlist down below for beginners, where you can learn the basics.
So, I take the crochet hook and pull the yarn through.
And I just do a single crochet.
And I insert my hook into the same stitch again.
Pull the yarn through.
I have two loops on my hook.
And I take the two loops off.
This is a single crochet.
And now I just insert my hook into every stitch I see.
And I crochet a single crochet.
And here's the next one.
Insert the hook.
Pull the yarn through.
I have two loops on my hook.
Pull the yarn through again.
And I do a single crochet.
Here's the next stitch.
I insert my hook here.
Pull the yarn through.
And I do a single crochet.
Let me adjust the camera a little bit.
One moment.
Look, here's the next stitch.
Just insert your hook.
Pull the yarn through.
You have two loops on your hook.
Pull the yarn through.
And pull the yarn through again.
And now we do this once completely around the whole cloth.
Just insert your hook.
And very loosely,
into every stitch,
we do a single crochet.
And as I said,
we started here.
And we do this once completely around the whole cloth.
And then we'll meet again.
The first single crochet I crocheted here,
I mark it with a stitch marker.
Then you can see when you have reached the round end again.
I wanted to show you this now.
I started here and crocheted until the end.
And now I have reached the corner.
I crochet two more stitches.
Make sure to crochet loosely,
so that the edge does not pull in too much.
And now here at the corner,
I just go in there and crochet three single crochets.
To get around it well.
So insert three times into the same stitch.
One, two and three.
And then we turn the whole thing around.
And now we crochet here until our beginning.
Also here in every stitch a single crochet.
If this is too tight for you,
you can sometimes do two single crochets in one stitch.
So you insert once,
crochet a single crochet
and then insert again
and again a single crochet.
But if you crochet relatively loosely,
then it should also go like this.
And now I'm crocheting along the edge.
That's what it looks like with the single crochets.
It looks very nice and neat
and just gives a nice edge.
And here you crochet until your beginning.
There in the middle,
here at this point,
where this hole pattern is,
I will crochet two single crochets each
here in these spaces.
And otherwise, as I said,
always one single crochet in each stitch.
So, I have now reached the end.
And here is the stitch marker of my first stitch.
And now I'm crocheting here
into the last stitch again
three single crochets,
as before on the other side.
And now I'm doing a slip stitch
into the first stitch from the beginning.
Insert your hook,
pull up your yarn,
and right away through the stitch
that is already on the needle.
So, what did we do?
Now we have crocheted around it.
And now I want to crochet around this side
with a crochet pattern,
which is called a shell or wave pattern.
To do this,
we first do a single crochet
into the first stitch.
Pull up your yarn
and do a single crochet.
And now I'm going to do a double crochet.
For the double crochet, I do a turn.
And now I insert my hook into the third stitch.
One, two, three.
Here.
And I crochet seven double crochets into this stitch.
Pull up your yarn for the double crochet.
You now have three stitches on your hook.
You skip the first two stitches.
Stop.
You have two stitches on your hook.
And you skip the last two stitches.
Now I have one double crochet in this stitch.
And I'm going to do a total of six double crochets.
Do a turn.
Insert your hook into the same stitch,
where you just did the double crochet.
Pull up your yarn.
Yarn over for the first two stitches.
Yarn over for the next two stitches.
Yarn over for the second stitch.
Do a turn.
Insert your hook into the same stitch.
Crochet loosely.
Yarn over for the first two stitches.
And now I have three, four, five, six and seven double crochets.
After that you insert your hook into the third stitch.
One, two, three.
And crochet a single crochet.
Insert your hook, pull up your yarn and crochet a single crochet.
And now we have a nice wave pattern.
And we continue like this.
Now we do seven double crochets into the third stitch.
Do a turn.
Insert your hook into the third stitch.
One, two, three, four.
Pull up your yarn.
And crochet seven double crochets.
One, two, three, four, five, six and seven.
Insert your hook into the third stitch.
One, two, three.
And crochet a single crochet.
And you repeat this until the end.
Do a turn.
Insert your hook into the third stitch.
Crochet seven double crochets.
Insert your hook into the third stitch.
Crochet a single crochet.
And so on until you reach the end.
I crocheted around the wave pattern once.
And now I am almost at the end.
This is how the waves look like.
I won't do this edge with the shell pattern.
I will end here.
I just crocheted my seven double crochets.
I skip three.
One, two, three.
Insert your hook into the third stitch.
You don't always have to do this.
I do this in the second instead of the third stitch.
You can adjust it to your liking.
It won't be noticeable in the end.
I do this in the second instead of the third stitch.
One, two, three, four, five, six.
Pull your yarn through.
This is the last double crochet.
And then I end with a single crochet.
This is the beginning of this part.
I end with a single crochet.
And then I do a slip stitch into the next stitch.
Pull your yarn through.
And then through again.
I cut this off.
Pull your yarn through the crochet hook.
And then you tighten it.
And then it looks like this.
I will show you again on the ground.
The camera is too small for this.
This is the wavy edge.
As I said, you don't have to do this.
You can just leave it like this.
But I think it looks really nice.
Now I have to sew the threads.
And then I will show you again on the ground.
And this is how it looks finished.
Let's take a closer look.
What you have to do, of course, is to wash and tighten it.
I haven't done that yet.
And then you can pull it all together again.
I hope you enjoyed this video.
And I wish you a lot of fun doing this.
See you soon.
Your MashaMaria.
