Hello everyone, I would like to crochet this beautiful runner with you today
or of course you can also make a normal blanket out of it, a tablecloth
I decided for the runner and crocheted 8 pieces of these granny's
I sewed 8 granny's together as a runner, which results in a length of approx. 70 cm
I have it in the length for the runner and as I said, you can of course use it as a normal
square blanket, for example, I have 8 granny's for the runner
and if you want a normal tablecloth, then you need 9 granny's for a small one
of course, depending on how big you want it, the more granny's you have to crochet
I will show you how this granny's is crocheted and I would say we start
I wish you all the best in advance, stay healthy in today's time
and I wish you wonderful Easter, make yourself as beautiful as possible
and otherwise, as I said, please stay healthy
then we want to start with the beautiful blanket or with the runner
and then I'll show you how to crochet the granny's
then I wish you a lot of fun
so we come to the first round, for this we make our old-fashioned knot
and we crochet 6 chain stitches
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
we close the 6 chain stitches into a circle
insert the hook into the first chain stitch
pull through our yarn
and make a slip stitch
and close the ring
we start with 3 chain stitches
1, 2 and 3
and now we do 2 double crochets
insert the hook into the ring
pull through the yarn
and make a double crochet
insert the hook into the ring
pull through the yarn
and make a double crochet
we started with 3 double crochets
so the 3 double crochets are our substitute double crochets
and then we crocheted 2 more double crochets
we now do 2 double crochets
and now we crochet 5 double crochets into the ring
insert the hook into the ring
pull through the yarn
and make a double crochet
insert the hook into the ring
and make a second double crochet
insert the hook into the ring
pull through the yarn
and make a third double crochet
insert the hook into the ring
pull through the yarn
and make a fourth double crochet
and now we crochet our fifth double crochet
we started with 3 double crochets
1 substitute double crochet
2 normal double crochets, 2 chain stitches and 5 double crochets
we make 2 chain stitches again
inserting the hook into the ring and crochet 5 double crochets
2 chain stitches
and 5 double crochets
2 chain stitches
2 more double crochets, so we have 5 double crochets here, so now 2 double crochets again
and now we finish the round in the 3rd chain stitch of our substitute double crochet
with a slip stitch
and there we have finished the first round
here are the corners
you can always orientate a little bit, it will not be square in that sense
but that is always an orientation help
so we have finished the first round, let's move on to the second
so the second round, we start with 3 chain stitches
we take a turn
and we crochet another 2 double crochets
here
in this stitch, where we also crocheted the 3 chain stitches
we do 2 double crochets into the same stitch
we do 2 chain stitches again
1 turn
and we crochet a double crochet
we leave the stitch free here and go into the last double crochet of the round before, of the 5 double crochets
we insert the hook
and crochet a double crochet
we do 2 chain stitches again
1 turn and we go into the first double crochet of the 5 double crochets
we insert the hook
and crochet a double crochet
we do 2 chain stitches again
1 turn and we insert the hook into the 3rd double crochet of the 5 double crochets
and there we do 5 double crochets
1 turn
2 chain stitches again
1 turn and we crochet a double crochet
into the last double crochet of the 5 double crochets
2 chain stitches again
1 turn
We do a double crochet into the first double crochet of the 5th group,
we do 2 chain stitches,
turn,
and now we do 5 double crochets
into the 3rd double crochet of the previous row of our 5th set.
We do 5 double crochets into the same stitch,
2, 3, 4, 5, 5 double crochets into the same stitch.
We do 2 chain stitches again,
and we do a double crochet into the last stitch of the previous row of our 5th set.
We do a double crochet into the last stitch of the previous row of our 5th set.
We do 2 chain stitches again,
turn and now we do a double crochet through the first double crochet of the 5th group,
go through the first double crochet,
and do a double crochet. We do 2 chain stitches again,
turn,
now we leave 1 stitch free and go through the 3rd double crochet of the 5th group of the previous row,
and do 5 double crochets.
chain 2 and skip the last dc
1 double crochet into the last dc
2 chain stitches
and now we go back to the first double crochet of the 5th row
do a double crochet
and we are done with the round, we do 2 chain stitches
so, we are back at the beginning of the round
we have 3 double crochets, 1 substitute double crochet, 2 normal double crochets
so we are missing 2 double crochets
we do them here, we insert the hook here
otherwise it gets too bulky
I don't know how to explain it otherwise
so, and we insert the hook again
and do a second double crochet
so we have 5 double crochets here
we finish in the 3rd chain stitch
our substitute double crochet
with a slip stitch
and there we finished the second round
don't be surprised if it gets a bit more bulky
you probably think it doesn't fit
at the end everything fits
don't let it irritate, it's normal that it gets bulky
ok, we come to the 3rd round
so, we start the 3rd round
for this we do 3 chain stitches
we insert the hook into the same stitch
and do 2 double crochets
so, we have 3 double crochets at the beginning
1 substitute double crochet, 2 normal double crochets
we do 2 chain stitches
turn
we go over the last double crochet
and do 1 double crochet
we do 2 chain stitches
turn
and we go over this double crochet
we do 1 double crochet
we do 2 chain stitches
and 1 double crochet
2 chain stitches
and we go over the first double crochet
the 5 double crochet
over the first double crochet
and a double crochet
2 chain stitches
turn
And now we do 5 double crochets over the 3rd double crochet of the 5th set of the previous round
Now we do 5 double crochets
1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
And then we do 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet and 1 double crochet
2 chain stitches
and 1 double crochet over the next double crochet
2 chain stitches
and 1 double crochet over the double crochet of the previous round
2 chain stitches
and 1 double crochet at the beginning of our 5th set
and 2 chain stitches again
5 dc into the 3rd dc of the 5th row
2 ch, 1 dc into the last dc of the 5th row
In the middle of row 6 we have 5 dc
ch 2, 1 dc over dc, ch 2, 1 dc over dc
and again
ch 2, 1 dc over dc, ch 2, 1 dc over dc
we have reached the end
In the beginning we only have 3 double crochets, but we need 5, so we add 2 more double crochets
and finish the round with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain of the substitute double crochet
Now we have finished the 3rd round, but as I said, this is completely normal
We now come to the 4th round and let's go
We come to the 4th round, we also start here with 3 chains
However, we only add one double crochet
We now have this double crochet and this one
We are right here in the middle, which means we are now crocheting right next to the middle double crochet
We are here at the 5th double crochet, we are here in the middle, we started
go over to the 4th double crochet of the 5th set, crochet a double crochet over it
and we are now crocheting a double crochet over the 5th double crochet
In this gap we now have 2 double crochets
one and a second double crochet
We now crochet a double crochet over the double crochet
and we crochet a double crochet into the next gap
This is how it looks right now
We have the first 2 double crochets, a substitute double crochet and a normal double crochet
In the 3rd double crochet of the 5th set we crocheted 2 double crochets
2 double crochets into the gap, 1 double crochet over the double crochet and 1 double crochet into the gap
So that we have a total of 8 double crochets
Ok, now we come to the chain stitches
We now crochet 7 chain stitches
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7
We take a turn, we leave this gap free
Not here, we have a double crochet in there
We leave this gap free and go into this gap and crochet a double crochet
So, now we have a big gap here
Ok, let's go on
We crochet a double crochet over the double crochet
We crochet 2 double crochets into the next gap
We crochet a double crochet over the first double crochet
A next double crochet over the second double crochet
We crochet 2 double crochets in the middle
Now we have 3 chain stitches
1, 2, 3, turn
And we crochet 2 double crochets into the same gap
Into the same stitch, sorry
1 and 2
And then we go on like before
We crochet 1 double crochet into each stitch
So, 1 double crochet here
2 double crochets into the gap
We crochet 1 double crochet over the double crochet
And 1 double crochet into the next gap
We now crochet 7 chain stitches
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
We take a turn
We leave the next gap free
And we go into this gap
And crochet a double crochet
We crochet 1 double crochet over the double crochet
And we crochet 2 double crochets into this gap
And 1 double crochet over the first double crochet
Then 1 double crochet over the second double crochet
We now have 2 double crochets in the middle
Then we crochet 3 chain stitches
And 2 double crochets into the same stitch
And then we go on
1 double crochet
And the next double crochet
Then 2 double crochets into this gap
1 double crochet over the double crochet
And 1 double crochet into the gap
And now we crochet 7 chain stitches
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
We leave this gap free in the middle
And we go into this gap
And crochet 1 double crochet
We take a turn
And crochet 1 double crochet over the double crochet
And then 2 double crochets into the gap
And 1 double crochet over the first double crochet
1 double crochet over the second double crochet
And then we crochet 2 double crochets into the middle
1, 2
Then we crochet 3 chain stitches
1, 2, 3
And we crochet 2 double crochets into the same stitch
1
And then 1 double crochet here
And 1 double crochet there
2 double crochets into the gap
Then 1 double crochet over the double crochet
And 1 double crochet into the next gap
And then 7 chain stitches
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
And we leave this gap free
And we go into the next gap
And crochet 1 double crochet
And then 1 double crochet over the double crochet
2 double crochets into the gap
And then 2 double crochets into this gap
1, 2
And we need 2 double crochets here at the beginning
1, 2
And now we need our 3 chain stitches
And we finish the round with the 3rd chain stitch of our substitute double crochet
This is how it looks right now
So, don't be fooled that this is not straight
It will be ok
We have 2 rounds left
We are done with the 4th round
And we come to the 5th round
So, we come to the 5th round
For this we have to turn very briefly
We have to switch back here
With a slip stitch
We turn again
Sorry, I made a slip stitch
We have to make a turn slip stitch
So, we go back here
Into the corner
And crochet 1 single crochet
So
Now we need very long double crochets
That means we do
5 turns
1
2
3
4
and 5
Hold it tight
We go over here into the gap
Pull the yarn through
And crochet 2 loops
So, we take the yarn
Go through the first 2 loops
1
Go through the second 2 loops
The 3rd time
The 4th time
The 5th time
And the 6th time
We do 5 turns again
1
2
3
4
and 5
And we go back here
Into the big gap
Pull the yarn
And crochet 1
2
3
4
5
and 6
We already have 2 big double crochets
5 double crochets
These are 5 double crochets
We do again
1
2
3
4
and 5
2 loops
So, 1
2
3
4
5
and 6
So, we have our first
3 double crochets
5 double crochets
We need that in this gap
5 times
But we interrupt it with 5 chain stitches
We have our first set of 3
We do 5 chain stitches
1
2
3
4
and 5
And we start again
to crochet our 5 double crochets
Again 3 in a row
So, 1
2
3
4
and 5
We go back into the gap
Pull the yarn
and crochet again
in the 2nd set
So, 1
2
3
4
5
and 6
And we do that 2 more times
So, again 5 double crochets
1
2
3
4
5
We go back into the gap
Pull the yarn
and we crochet again
our 5 double crochets
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
Pull the yarn
and again
1
2
3
4
5
Pull the yarn
and crochet
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
So, we have our next set of 3
That means we do again 5 double crochets
1
2
3
4
and 5
And we start again with our big double crochet
1
2
3
4
and 5
We go back into the gap
Pull the yarn
and crochet again
in the 2nd set
2
3
4
5
and 6
And again
1
2
3
4
5
and our big double crochet
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
And again
1
2
3
4
5
and again
and crochet
And we have our next set of 3
We need 2 sets of 3
We do again 5 double crochets
3
4
5
and again
1
2
3
4
5
and insert the hook
and pull the yarn
and crochet
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
And again
1
2
3
4
5
and pull the yarn
and crochet
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
And again
1
2
3
4
5
and pull the yarn
and crochet
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
So, how many sets of 3 do we have now?
We currently have
1
2
3
4
We need 5, so we do again 5 chain stitches
2
3
4
5
1
2
3
4
and 5
yarn over
and crochet again
3
4
5
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
2 more times
1
2
3
4
5
and again
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
1
2
3
4
5
and 6
1
2
3
4
3
4
5
and yarn over
and one last time into this gap
2
3
4
and 5
and 6
Now we have here 5 times 3 sets of 3-5 double crochets
So 1
2
3
4
and 5
and we stopped with 5 chain stitches
This is how it looks right now
Now we have here our corner of the pre-round
We just go in there and crochet a single crochet
Now we do 5 double crochets, go into the gap and do exactly 5 sets of 3-5 double crochets
and 5 chain stitches
We do this the whole round and when we have done this, I'll be back
So, we have finished the 5th round
We close the round here in the front with a single crochet
We go in, get the yarn and do a slip stitch
This is how it looks right now, you see, it has already settled
It is not so crumpled anymore
And now we come to the last round, round 6
So, round 6, we do a chain stitch
We insert into the single crochet again and crochet a single crochet
This is basically the one in the middle of our corner here
We skip this stitch and now we go here
Always at such a corner it is crocheted a little differently, but you will see that in a moment
We leave it free, we go to the next one and crochet a single crochet
We now go over the third stitch here and crochet a single crochet
We take a turn, we go here at our 5 chain stitches into the gap
and crochet a half double crochet at the beginning
Now we crochet 7 double crochets in a row into the gap
So, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7
7 double crochets and at the end we also do a half double crochet into the gap
Now we go here over the first double crochet and crochet a single crochet
Now we skip this one and go to the next one and crochet a single crochet
Now we are at the next gap and again we do a half double crochet at the beginning
and again 7 double crochets in a row
and at the end again a half double crochet
Now we go over the first double crochet and crochet a single crochet
We skip this one and go to this one and crochet a single crochet
Now we are at the next gap and again we do a half double crochet, 7 double crochets and a half double crochet
and again a single crochet at the beginning
We skip this one and go to the next one and crochet a single crochet
This is how it looks at the moment
and again a half double crochet and 7 double crochets and at the end again a half double crochet
and again a half double crochet at the beginning
Now we do a single crochet here and again we are at this corner
and we do it a little bit differently
We skip this one and go to this one and crochet a single crochet
We skip this one and go to this corner and crochet a single crochet
We skip this one and crochet the next two single crochets
But this is only if we are at a corner
Here in between we always crochet a single crochet, skip the middle one and do a single crochet
We start here again with a half double crochet and 7 double crochets
and at the end a half double crochet
And now we are again in our little arch, flower, however you want to call it
and here the single crochets are a little bit different
We do a single crochet here at the beginning, skip the middle one and do a single crochet here
and then again a half double crochet, a half double crochet, 7 double crochets, a whole double crochet, a half double crochet
here a single crochet, a skip, a single crochet
and then again a half double crochet, 7 double crochets, a whole double crochet, a half double crochet and so on
and if you are here at the corner, then as I said, the single crochets come over this double crochet and over this one
the third one, so in principle, comes here, if here is the corner, a single crochet comes here, a single crochet here
this one stays in front and then you do a single crochet here
skip the first one and do a single crochet here
and again a half double crochet, 7 double crochets and a half double crochet
okay, so, we have finished the round
we are now at the last corner, we go back into the single crochet, get the yarn and do a slip stitch
do another chain and pull it out and cut it off
so, here we have finished one part of the blanket
so, this is how it looks when you have finished it
now it's up to you, do you want a walker or do you want a bigger blanket, depending on how many pieces you have to crochet
and for a normal walker, depending on how big the table is, 6-8 pieces should be enough
for bigger blankets, of course, accordingly more
okay, then we crochet as many pieces as we want, so how big the blanket or the walker should be
and when we have finished it, I'll be back and show you how to sew the pieces together
okay, see you soon
so, we have crocheted the pieces
for a walker, I crocheted 8 pieces, so 8 crannies
and if you want a square blanket, 9 pieces should be enough
or depending on how big the blanket should be
okay, I'll show you how to sew it together
we have two pieces here, as you can see, I took white and grey again
somehow I like the color combination
and we have the pieces, the crannies, so that we can see the front pieces
this is how they look from the back, you can see it a bit, it's not quite as fine as from the front
okay, dear, so we have them on the right in front of us, we look at the right side
we fold one piece over the other, so we put right on right
put right on right
then you take one side and look at the inside
we have the flowers here
and then I take the two inside pieces from one side
put them nicely on top of each other
and now I sew here in the middle, look that you are in the middle
we also stitch, as always, when we sew something together
in the front, in the first loop
this is now the preview effect
so, where is it?
here we have our V
and we stitch into the V
so we have the front loop of the V on the needle
we go over it, look that you have it really accurate
we go over here now, here we have the other V from the other side
we go into the back loop
so, pull the thread a little, not quite
so, we go again into the same loop
so again in the front and once in the back
into the loop and pull the thread tight
so, pull tight
and now I go again into the next loop
so into the one that is next to it, look again
here, look
and of course on the other side I go into the back loop
here is the V, I go into the back loop
and pull the thread tight
I don't do more, we can go through again
so, I don't do more, pull tight
and sew up the thread
I have prepared, as always
these are the two pieces that we have just started to sew together
these are my last two pieces for the runner
here you can see that I have sewn it all together
the middle, so on one side the inner flowers
I have always sewn together here
so when you have sewn it together
you have to sew the next pieces together
so I always sewed two, two, two together
then I sewed them right to right
and then here on the sides
I also sewed it together with the inner flowers
always sewed the inner flowers together from one side
ok dear
so, then we sew it together
in principle we did it
sew up threads
and then our cover is ready
for our runner, our tablecloth, depending on how you want it
as I said, for my runner I need 8 crannies
what I want to show you
that's the right side
I want to show you how big my crannies are
there I have a width of 17 cm
and of course so and so 17 cm
is of course clear
ok dear
so I hope you had just as much fun as I did
have a lot of fun crocheting
and as always I just have to say
have a nice time
stay healthy in the present time
and enjoy your time with your families
and see you soon
take care
