Hi and welcome to a new video of mine.
I have to be honest, I'm a bit nervous right now.
But it's okay, it's just you.
I made myself comfortable, lit a candle.
Phew, it's okay.
Today, I'm going to be very open and honest with you
and do a bit of a girls' talk,
where I'm going to tell you...
Most of you probably saw on Instagram that I was a gynecologist
and told you that I didn't get a good message
and that it was a bit of a shock.
I got a lot of feedback
and I thought, okay, I'm just going to sit down
and tell you what's going on.
Why am I doing this?
Of course, to make some really nice clicks on the neck of my diagnosis.
Just kidding.
I have to be honest, I just realized again,
as I mentioned on Instagram,
how important it is to me personally
that I use my reach for topics like this.
That I address these topics, these alleged taboos.
That I show that no one is alone out there.
That I, too, am confronted with various problems
and don't get nice messages.
And that my life isn't perfect either.
Okay, how many times have I already done this?
Because, again, this perfect shine world on Instagram
simply leads to the fact that it makes it seem
as if everything is always great with us.
As if you didn't have any problems,
as if you didn't have to carry any packages with you.
As if everything was always running tip-top.
And it's just not like that.
I'm just as normal as you and me and everyone else.
And I also have to fight with things
and sometimes I don't get any good news.
And that's why I also want to show that.
And what I also realized again
is how much feedback came to this story.
I just want to sensitize a bit,
enlighten a bit,
raise a bit of a voice for all those
who may not be able to do so at the moment.
There were messages from
I wish you a lot of strength, no matter what's going on.
You don't have to tell us.
In addition, just tell us what's going on.
Are you pregnant?
Some speculations.
Also insensitive messages that we just showed.
Okay, maybe a little bit of sensitization is still necessary.
Just to bring a bit of normality into the subject
and to show that if you want to talk about it
and want to talk about it openly, you can do that.
And if you don't want to, you don't have to.
And of course, you know, fitness, nutrition is just my thing.
And that's part of it.
Health, that you just take precautions,
check-ups.
That just showed me again how important it is.
And yes, that's why I think we'll just get started right away.
I also have to say, I also made a few notes
so that I don't forget anything important.
Let's start all over again.
I'll tell you in great detail
so that I can pick you up from the beginning
so that you understand the whole thing.
And of course I want to give a disclaimer again.
I'm not a doctor. It's all an individual story.
Just because something is the way it is with me
or I've been told that
or the whole thing is progressing so much.
You know what I mean. It doesn't have to be like that with you.
That in advance, very, very important.
So it all actually started with me.
Back then, I think it was around summer,
when I got my spiral injected at the gynecologist.
I even took you with me, not really with me,
but I made a vlog about it,
also asked a lot of questions about my contraception and so on.
You are welcome to stop by, I can link you here again.
And I didn't know anything about it yet,
but my gynecologist had already noticed something conspicuous.
But at that moment he didn't tell me
because I still had a check-up appointment afterwards
to see if the spiral was sitting well after he had injected it.
And I think he wanted to reassure him at that moment,
or just, I don't know.
He didn't mention anything yet.
But just to give you an idea of where it all started.
So, then I had this check-up appointment
to see if the spiral was sitting well.
Everything went perfectly.
I was happy, I thought, okay, that's it with the appointment.
He wanted to put me back on, like, off the chair.
And then he said, yes, he wants to show me something else.
He saw something.
He noticed that last time, when he was injecting.
And he wanted to show me.
So, I said to myself,
oh, that's just kind of...
That kind of message is just like, you don't want to hear it,
like, you just want to hear it all the time, it's okay.
But that's not always the case.
My gynecologist then showed me something on the ultrasound,
on the screen,
which looked like a cyst, tumor, tissue collection.
At that moment, he couldn't tell me exactly what it was.
But he did say, we have to observe it.
And it could be that it has to come out.
It could be a dermoid cyst.
It's something good-looking,
a good-looking cyst.
Or... No, he didn't say much more.
And yes, I'm sure you know what it is.
You think, he just doesn't want anything.
I didn't go home with a good feeling,
but then I thought, it's going to be okay, it's going to be fine.
It's going to go away again.
I think it was about two centimeters big at the time.
And he thought, maybe when it's gone again next time,
he'll just get rid of it.
Because there are always cysts in a woman's cycle
that really don't want to say anything wrong,
they just burst open and go away again.
They're just filled with fluid.
But he already knew at the time,
this is not one that occurs regularly in the cycle,
because it was just filled differently.
Either with tissue or old blood or something else.
Yes, that's about it.
That was then... When was that?
Sometime before Christmas.
And now I had this so-called check-up appointment,
where we wanted to see
if this part, whatever it is, is gone.
That was two weeks ago, I think it was.
Yes, then I went there.
Somehow I've tried so far
to make as few thoughts as possible.
The only thing that was a bit strange,
the closer the appointment was postponed,
so the more time has passed,
the more I imagined that I was feeling something.
Then I thought, that's not a good sign.
But maybe I'm just imagining it.
Maybe it's just a bit of a placebo,
because I know there's something going on, according to the motto.
But I just felt a pull there more often.
Sometimes it really hurts a bit, I would say.
Well, then I went there two weeks ago.
I hoped it was nothing.
And yes, surprise, it was still there.
Or it was twice as big,
almost, I think, five centimeters.
So it's already very big, actually.
For... Oh, and what I haven't mentioned yet.
Exactly, it was with the ovary.
Exactly, so he meant
at the check-up appointment, it definitely has to go.
Because on the one hand it's too big
and then there's the danger
that it will destroy the ovary.
Which, of course, we don't want.
We thought, shit, surgery is always stupid.
And what is it now anyway?
And yes, he really meant either this dermoid cyst,
which he already meant at the beginning, or endometriosis.
Then we thought, no,
I can't imagine endometriosis at all,
because I always associated endometriosis with
that you have to have very strong pains and complaints during the period.
I'm sure you've noticed that already.
In any case, I got a direct transfer to the hospital,
because he meant that it definitely has to go.
Also for the risk of ovary cancer and so on and so forth.
But he couldn't tell me much more.
You can't say much with an ultrasound either.
Then you really have to look into it.
Yes, and with this knowledge I went home.
And then you start to think a little bit like that.
Yes, okay, what is it now?
Now it has to go. Hopefully everything will be fine then.
He just meant, yes, if it's endometriosis,
there could still be hernias somewhere else.
So somewhere else, cysts, scars, whatever.
You always associate endometriosis with fertility,
that everything could be a bit more difficult,
for the sake of children's wishes.
Yes, you just think about it a bit.
And that's how it was with me.
Then I called the hospital right away.
And also right for next week.
So that was last week,
a few days ago I got an appointment at the gynecologist.
And yes, I went there.
Sascha accompanied me and then I was already called.
Now I have to see if I haven't forgotten anything before.
No, I don't think I've forgotten anything.
I think I mentioned the most important thing so far.
By the way, if there are any open questions,
just write them in the comments.
By the way, I'm really looking forward to an exchange,
just about your thoughts,
about your, if you want to share something, stories.
I would be very, very happy.
Then I went to the hospital, I was called.
That's exactly where we stopped.
By the way, Sascha was on the toilet at the time.
Now I told the one who was sitting next to me,
when my boyfriend is back,
if she can tell him that I'm already in there.
I mean, who else?
But still, yes, it doesn't matter.
Then I just went in.
There was a very young doctor.
And I felt really comfortable right away.
She was very nice and said,
yes, make yourself comfortable.
And really, very, very nice.
And then I was actually
guided straight to the toilet seat.
And yes, I was allowed to take a seat first.
And she then did a very detailed examination
with the most different devices and things.
I don't need to explain more now.
I think most people know what's being done there.
She just looked at a lot of things
and tried them out and stuff.
Then I put on my clothes again
and then I asked if I could bring Sascha in.
She just wanted to tell me what was going on.
Then I just got Sascha.
And yes, then she meant,
she is very, very, very, very sure
that it is endometriosis.
And I was like, okay,
I didn't expect that at all.
Because I always thought,
we just talked about it a bit,
because, I mean, sure,
pain is individual.
Everyone is different, pain-sensitive and so on.
That's what she meant anyway.
But she also meant,
there are some who have endometriosis,
a very, very severe condition, for example,
but only very little to no pain.
Others actually only have a mild condition,
but very, very severe pain.
So it can really vary from bite.
And she just says, it just looks like that.
A short interruption from my cut.
I just noticed that I didn't really explain
what endometriosis is at all.
So for everyone who doesn't know that,
here's a quick definition.
Endometriosis is a chronic,
but good-natured disease
in which uterine mucosa,
in the technical jargon endometrium,
can be found outside the uterus,
especially in the subcutaneous area.
Mucosa islands, known as endometriosis hernia,
cause typical pain
that occurs mostly cyclically with period bleeding.
Unintentional childlessness is also often associated with endometriosis.
The exact causes of the occurrence of this disease
are not yet clearly clarified.
End and now on to the video. Have fun.
But she also meant,
of course, you can only say that during the operation.
So it definitely belongs out,
but also for the sake of size, she meant that again.
She also said that it's no wonder
that you already have pain
and they're getting a little stronger now.
It was already bigger again.
I think it was almost six centimetres now.
So really very big.
That it actually has to be,
because it just presses somewhere
and it's such a dull pain.
You really have a real pull.
So yes, I think it's good when it's out there.
And yes, she said that everything else actually looks relatively good.
What you can now see on the ultrasound,
such egg pieces and she doesn't really see
scars, it all looks very loose.
For me it was a relief
that it was only this cyst until now.
But she meant, as I said,
you can actually only see it during the operation.
And that's how it is, it's a belly mirror.
So maybe I can only get out of the belly button
with a cut, as always,
or so left, right, so on the hip stripe here.
So small cuts.
So the intervention is also very minimal.
But of course, my risk is always there.
And yes, in general, full anesthesia.
She's never had an operation before,
she's never had a full anesthesia or anything like that.
Then somehow the belly is blown open with gauze
and then work is done.
So this cyst is removed.
Somehow it was described as a tangerine,
so cut open with the bowl and then like that, I don't know.
For her, this is a routine intervention.
Yes, and then it may be
that she will take tissue from me.
I think she meant the pelvic floor,
so that everything can be looked at in more detail.
Yes, that's what we have to do.
So she also asked a little bit,
yes, there are different things,
child wish, blah, blah, blah.
So for me, the worries are just that the operation is going well,
that it can be removed easily
and, in the best case, that it is simply done
that they are somewhere else in the herd.
Because she also meant that you can only see it during the operation
if there is something else that needs to be removed or can be removed.
That's just the way it is, because otherwise everything looks good,
also fertility and so on.
You just can't really say that now.
That's just a bit like that,
where you just make a lot of thoughts somehow.
And yes, as I mentioned before, endometriosis
has never really concerned me with the topic so far.
I knew there was, I knew a lot of women suffer from it.
Incidentally, I have now also read a little bit about myself.
But I don't want to read too much either,
you don't get any worries either.
But in any case, I have read that 6 to 11% of all women
suffer from it, which is actually a lot.
I found that very exciting.
The danger is also that she is still turning this cyst
around her own axis in a wrong movement.
So if she has very, very severe endometriosis pain,
herniation or so on, she should come immediately.
And yes, I don't have an operation appointment yet.
I will be called now, it will only be agreed.
I just hope that it will be as soon as possible.
And yes, that just when it's out,
and hopefully everything just fits.
That's my diagnosis, so now you know.
It just showed me again, as I said,
that such appointment controls are really important.
And that you are not alone in this,
that many women suffer from something like this at some point
or suffer from it for a lifetime.
That it is also something quiet that you are allowed to talk about.
That it is not something that you have to hide or shame.
And also that you ...
Wow, that scared me.
You think so?
Yes, but that's exactly what scares me.
I'll do a quick check.
Sascha just came in and really scared me.
He's doing a quick check now.
What I wanted to say is that we are also so sensitive
to, for example, a question of how to deal with being pregnant.
Because you may have just learned at one point,
okay, you may not be able to have children at all
or only have heavy children.
Or maybe you've had a miscarriage
and have wanted a child for a long time.
Or you've had an unfulfilled child's wish for a long time.
That was somehow very present again.
I also mentioned that on Instagram.
And then there were so, so many really sad,
heartbreaking messages from many of you.
Yes, who have just described exactly such things.
How hurtful such questions can be.
It's just a question and I think you should be aware of that.
That doesn't mean that you should never ask anyone
whether he wants children or something.
If you have a good girlfriend now,
I think it's a question, you can also talk about it openly.
But just very sensitive and not at all somehow ...
In principle, I am a stranger, in this case now on the Internet.
And you don't know what you've just been told.
And then, oh, are you pregnant or something?
It's just very inappropriate.
Please, just really, really pay attention to it.
We also reported a lot about the pap smear.
If that is noticeable,
regarding uterine cancer,
a lot of people get that too.
Just not so many people talk about it.
And that's just what's so important to me,
that you just talk about the topic, just say it out loud.
But you know me, I'm always very positive.
And now I'm just positive too.
I'm just sure that the operation will go well
and that then, hopefully, everything will be fine.
And the future, as you always imagine it,
nothing stands in the way.
Yes, it feels really good to tell the whole thing
and to somehow immerse yourself in it.
It's like that, and I can understand that too.
This curiosity.
I didn't talk about it
because people forced me to.
I wouldn't be forced.
But I can also understand
if you always follow someone
and somehow know part of their life,
that you might be a little worried about them.
And of course I want to take that from you
and just tell you what's going on.
But still, I know that I'm not to blame for anything
and that everyone can and should talk about what they want,
about what they want.
And yes, that's it for this topic.
I think I'll end the video here.
It's been a long time anyway, I've talked a lot.
I think that's enough now.
And if you want me to take you further,
to see what else is going on,
feel free to write it in the comments.
I can also take you along with the operation
and the whole process.
I think it's just very valuable content too,
because, as I said, it affects a lot of people.
Otherwise, I would really, really, really
be happy about the exchange in the comments.
Feel free to leave a thumbs up
if you like it,
if I just talk to you so openly and honestly.
