Let's start! Yamaha MT-09 or in the US market, it is also called FZ-09 at the time before 2017. It is a new series of cars that appeared in 2014 and was replaced by the FZ-8 series. MT-09 is a car equipped with Yamaha's first 3-cylinder engine. From the time the XF850 was launched in 1981, the Yamaha manufacturer put the slogan The Dark Side of Japan in the MT-09. Just hearing the slogan, we can feel the chaos of the manufacturer putting the MT-09 in. And the opponent of the MT-09 is currently on the market is the Triumph Triple Kawasaki Z900. Or even a car that we can hardly meet on the street, which is the MV Agusta Brutale 800. The Yamaha MT-09 has a very rough design, but it looks very fierce. At the front of the car, there are 4 projectors and it is shaped like the eyes of a Samurai soldier. It looks very fierce. Ah, it's convenient to mention Samurai. However, there is one point that I don't understand why it is like that. That is, the cylinder head of the MT-09 is still using a halogen cylinder head, not a LED one. And it is only equipped with a LED cylinder head until the MT-10. As for the bodywork, you can see that the fuel tank of the MT-09 is not made by Yamaha. There are not many details, but it is very simple. Then we have a very light metal box frame. Actually, I really like this kind of box frame. It looks very neat. However, my favorite point on this car is the tail. On the tail of the car, there is a transparent rear light. And if you turn on the engine, it will be two LEDs. It looks very fierce. And we have a fog light with a sunroof at the bottom. Many people asked me why I didn't put the sunroof under the sunroof. It would be more beautiful. However, the sunroof is placed like this. When we drive at high speed, it will shake a lot. And if the sunroof is placed under the sunroof, it will definitely shake when we drive at high speed. So the manufacturer also calculated that the sunroof would be placed here. I am very impressed with the tail of this MT-09. MT-09 is equipped with a 17-inch wheel with Bridgestone Badlux HyperSport S20F tire. Personally, I plan to replace this tire as soon as possible. Because when we use this tire, it will take some time to heat the tire. Then the tire can stick to the road. One more thing is that when we go to the field, the rear tire often slips. And if we talk about the conditions, it's raining, the road is wet. ABS 2-channel is the standard equipment on the MT-09. It is equipped with an upside-down mirror with a diameter of 41mm of Kaya-3. Now we can completely adjust it. The rear mirror is a monoshock mirror of Kaya-3. If you want to buy the MT-09 SP, the rear monoshock mirror will be replaced with an all-in mirror. The monoshock display is designed very simple and neat. The buttons on the steering wheel are very simple and easy to use. There are not many complicated functions. And it is very smooth. When I touch it, I feel that it is extremely smooth. I can press it comfortably. With such equipment, the MT-09 is a bit more backward than its rivals. But the engine is the point that makes the name of this car. You can see that on the chassis, there is a line of words CP3, which means Crossplane 3. It is a characteristic feature of the 3-cylinder engine. In addition, Yamaha also makes Crossplane 2 and Crossplane 4. Now I have the MT-07 and MT-10, I will introduce them to you. This engine has 847 cc, 115 hp and 88 Nm of torque. This is a very powerful engine. I will let you hear the sound of the engine. The Yamaha MT-09 gives the driver a straight back posture. The steering wheel is very suitable for driving on the street and long distances. The steering wheel is 820 mm. But when I sit down, it is quite uncomfortable. My feet are quite comfortable. I am 1.82 meters tall. The MT-09 is equipped with a Quick Shift system, which is a quick gear shift. In terms of basic operating principles, we will shift gears without using the clutch. And we don't need to release the gas pedal. Because the Quick Shift will automatically release the gas pedal for us. After we release the gas pedal, it will automatically release the gas pedal for us. We will save a lot of time when accelerating. The car is also equipped with the Assist & Slipper Clutch system. And I think it works quite well. It is also very effective when decelerating. Just like the XR900, the MT-09 is also equipped with the ECCT electronic system. We will have 3 driving modes, A, Standard and B. In the driving mode A, the car will have 100% power. In the standard mode, the car will have 100% power. And the car will have a slower response. In the B mode, the car will have 70% less power. And the car will have a very slow response. And it is very suitable for rainy roads, wet roads, or moving in the city. Personally, even if I drive in the city, I always choose the A mode. Because I hate the feeling that the car is a bit late. And if you drive in the city, even in the A or Standard mode, your wrist will be very weak. With this MT-09, the wrist is extremely weak. A problem that many of you will definitely care about the MT-09 from the 2017 version to the 2020 version I have here is whether the ECCT system works well or not. I have to share the truth. If we drive a bit violently and we enter the curve a bit violently, the MT-09 will give a feeling of not being too safe. Personally, I really want an SP version of the MT-09 so that I can use the O-line rear suspension. The MT-09 is equipped with 3 Traction Control modes, which are Low Interference, Deep Interference, and No Interference. I recommend this car to those who are new to the car. You should turn on the Traction Control at the highest level. Because many people call this MT-09 a wheelie machine. As far as I have experienced, you just need to turn off the Traction Control, and if you step on the gas a bit too much, the front of the car will bounce up at any time. So please keep yourself safe. And when you get used to the car, even if you have been driving for a long time, please turn on the Traction Control. It will keep the front of the car closer to the ground. The main reason why this car is called a wheelie machine is because it is very powerful, and it is very hot in the front of the car. If you drive from 4,000 to 11,000 km, you will immediately enjoy the characteristics of the 3-cylinder engine from Yamaha. The engine starts very early, and it will not be as slow as the XR900. And the power of this MT-09 is very powerful, and it is very hot. This is a point that I think the MT-09 is not for beginners. If you are a beginner, you have to get used to the car to be able to drive a very powerful car like this. Please note that you should not be excited about the MT-09, and you should not be excited about the 3-cylinder cars. And these are my comments about the MT-09. The car I am using is the 2020 version. I just got it. And if you want to buy this new car, the price will drop to around 340 million VND. However, if you want to get the car right away, it may be quite difficult. Because according to the information I received from Yamaha, they announced that the MT-09 would have to wait a long time, about a few more months, before it could be imported to Vietnam.
