I would like to say hello to the teachers and the students in the K29 class.
In order to serve the 2nd and 3rd grades,
in the 11th grade,
in the course of teaching this lesson,
I often mention the Fibonacci number and the golden ratio.
In order for students to have a more objective view of the golden ratio
that appears everywhere around us
and its application in fields such as
art, music, design,
I would like to make a model of the golden ratio.
To make this model,
we need 4 pieces of wood,
a pencil, a drill,
a ruler, a screwdriver,
a tape measure and scissors.
First, we know that the golden ratio is 1 ÷ 1.62.
Here, I will choose the length of the ruler
in the order of 6 cm and 9.7 cm.
I use a pencil and a ruler of length ÷ A.
There is a straight section Mn ÷ 6 cm.
The length of PQ is 9.7 cm,
which is the same as the length of B.
In the section C,
I will divide the length of section PQ by 9.7 cm.
In the section D,
I will divide the length of section PK by 9 cm.
After that, we use tape to fix these 4 pieces of wood together.
Drilling in 2 positions has been marked.
After drilling, we will get 4 pieces of wood with the following shape.
Here, I will make a groove for the A, B and C bars.
The last step is to fix these bars together.
I will use the A and B bars to fix these 2 bars.
I will attach the C bar to this position.
I will attach the D bar to the B bar and the C bar to each other.
Finally, we have a ruler to measure the ratio.
Here, I will measure my fingers like this.
I just need to measure the A and C bars in this position.
Then, the B bar will show us the remaining position.
You can use the ruler to check.
Here, I will measure my fingers like this.
I will measure 2 sets of my fingers in positions A and C.
The B bar will show me the remaining fingers.
You can use the ruler to measure other parts of your fingers.
You can also measure the size of a piece of paper.
Thank you for watching.
