Ridgid Orbital Sander Repair - Sander Will Not Turn On

I love my Ridgid Orbital Sander as well as my other Ridgid tools. I am in no way connected to Ridgid, just a fan.

My orbital sander was working perfectly normal one day and then the next it would not turn on at all. I did register for the Lifetime Warranty so I called the service center first to see when I could bring it in for repair. The service manager told me the problem was likely the switch. I needed the sander working that day so I asked how he would repair it. He told me he could not guarantee the warranty wouldn't be void if I made the repair myself but that the repair was not complicated. He suggested that I check the switch and even blow it out with my air compressor to see if dust build up was the culprit. The video shows my results from this suggestion.
