Yellowstone's bikers may have meant more than they seemed.
Hey everybody, I'm Adam Martinetti, the only cowboy biker in town.
With Yellowstone's new season on the horizon, Collider's own Michael John Petty revisited a
moment in the show that has more meaning than at first glance. Originally an actor who was
noticed in the early 2000s appearing on Veronica Mars, which led to his role on Sons of Anarchy,
Yellowstone creator and showrunner Taylor Sheridan learned many lessons about show
business along the way. After appearing in 21 episodes over the first three seasons of
Sons of Anarchy as Deputy Chief David Hale, when Sheridan demanded to be paid more in
accordance to how others on the show were, his character was then killed while trying
to stop a drive-by shooting and was then run over by those responsible.
Since then, Sheridan has transitioned to behind the camera, creating and running Yellowstone as
well as appearing in his projects now and then and directing. One particular instance of Sheridan
acknowledging his motorcycle show past is a season 3 episode where the Dutton clan gets into
a dust up with some bikers. At one point the bikers even having their bikes run over, much
like a certain Deputy Chief. The bikers returned later that night, but it doesn't work out for them
so well under the cover of darkness either. I'm Adam Martinetti and don't forget to head
over to Collider.com for all your movie news, trailers and reviews. Thanks for watching and
we'll catch you later.
