Walk on.
Beautiful.
Nicely done.
I'm strong, brave, and I can do anything.
Riding horses definitely helped me believe it.
Pull your hand back.
That's better, huh?
We came here because we heard it was really good.
Then I met Hammy, and I kind of felt like the first day
that I saw him that we would be like really good friends.
Hello.
Emma was born with a mid-form amputation,
and she always loved animals.
We heard about Hope Springs, and we were looking
for something to build confidence,
help with her strength, and just get her out there
and doing something different.
Good job, Emma.
You know, she can lean to one side a lot,
so if you see, she sits up straight,
and it has helped her overall balance.
And here, she really kind of blossomed.
Makes me feel like I'm a lot taller.
Anybody can benefit, but especially someone
who kind of wants to overcome stuff
or work through things, absolutely.
Hope Springs Equestrian Therapy was founded
in 1997 in Chester Springs.
We've had students from 11 months old
to our oldest right now I think is in their early 70s.
Good boy.
You end up coming to us with a diagnosis,
whether it is a mental disability
or a physical disability.
Then we can open the doors for you.
Give her kisses.
It's a family affair because my older sister
had physical disabilities, and she rode at Hope Springs.
So I started as a volunteer.
My mom became an instructor.
My dad helps out.
Hope Springs truly is a cornerstone of our family.
It's amazing to give this gift,
therapeutic horseback riding,
to as many people as we can.
Squeeze and come up towards me.
Every single lesson has some financial support
from our organization.
That was awesome.
So having fundraisers like the one we're having
on September 23rd allows us to continue to do that.
I think you're riding beautifully.
Are you okay?
I met Emma around two years ago or so.
The next time we go to a horse show,
she wants to be able to trot in the horse show.
Walk on.
So we're working on that.
And if she wants to keep riding for 20 years
and be a volunteer here and all that kind of stuff,
of course, I think she can do anything she wants to do.
Try to believe in yourself.
You're a rock star, girl.
No matter...
