Kim Cattrall's Makes Her Debut on the Season 2 Finale of 'And Just Like That...'

She's back! Kim Cattrall made her much anticipated return to the Sex and the City spinoff, and just like that, in the series' season two finale, but only fleetingly. During a scene at the start of this week's episode, Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, gets a call from Kim Cattrall's character, Samantha, who is calling to tell Carrie that her flight is three hours delayed and she won't be able to make it in time. In her cameo appearance, Samantha's wearing a red dress and silver trench coat, accessorized with a lime green purse and chunky jewelry. She tells Carrie that the other girls informed her about Carrie's last supper party at her old apartment, and Samantha was planning to catch a flight from Heathrow Airport to New York to surprise her friend just for one night. She insisted that she had to pay her respects and ask to be put on speakerphone so she could bid Carrie's place farewell, as only the unabashedly sexy and confident character could. She said goodbye to the apartment by saying, quote, "'Thank you for everything. You bleepin' fabulous, fabulous flat.'" After that, Carrie teased Samantha about her developing British accent, to which Samantha replied, "'Ta and cheerio.'" The cameo may have been brief, but marked an important moment for the show and its fans, as they have been hoping for Samantha's return after she was completely missing from season one.
