Lara Spencer reports the buzziest stories of the day in “GMA” Pop News.
All right, it's time for a little pop news with Lara.
Let's go, let's go everybody.
All right, we're gonna begin this morning
with the material girl making history.
After kicking off her celebration tour
in London last summer,
Madonna is now planning to close it out with a bang.
Announcing her last show in Rio de Janeiro will be free.
It's her first show in Brazil in over 10 years.
It will happen May 4th
on the legendary Copacabana Beach.
All tickets will be available
on a first-come, first-served basis.
Again, free on the day of the event only though.
Madonna says she wants it to be free
as a thank you to her fans
for sticking with her for over 40 years.
And of course, for the success of the tour,
which she calls the world's biggest dance floor.
As I have heard from friends who have seen it,
they say it is wild.
The party continues this week with shows in Houston,
then Atlanta, Miami, Austin, and Mexico City.
Nice.
I wish I could go.
Those you have to pay for.
Yes.
I'm making it clear.
I don't want anybody showing up like,
yo, he said it's free.
Thank you.
Thank you, you saved my bacon.
All right, in TV news this morning,
Catherine O'Hara bringing her comedy genius
back to the small screen.
The actress signing on to become
to the upcoming Apple TV show, The Studio.
Guys, this looks great.
It'll be O'Hara's first full-time TV gig
since wrapping up her sixth season,
Emmy-winning run as the beloved Moira Rose.

She's playing alongside Bryan Cranston.

trying to survive in a world
where it is increasingly difficult
for art and commerce to live together.
The Studio, already in production.
No word yet, though, on a premiere date.
That sounds good.
