Hi everybody, I hope you guys are doing well. So I'm back with some more vintage and antique jewelry
to share with you all. And it's been a while since I filmed a video, but I have still been picking up
jewelry jars and boxes from various places in the past few months. So what I'm going to share
with you today is some of my favorite pieces I have found recently. Some of them are from
Shop Goodwill, some are from my local antique store, and an antique store down by where my
mom lives. So they're all from various places, but I've got some really great
antique and vintage pieces to share with you. So I hope you stick around and enjoy the video.
Okay, and so the first few items I want to share with you are a small collection that I've started
and it is butterfly wing jewelry. So if you're not familiar with butterfly wing jewelry,
this is essentially what the pieces look like. So this iridescent blue background you're seeing
is actually the wing of a morpho butterfly. This particular one is set on a sterling silver
backing, but they also made them just on a pot metal, non-precious metal backing like this one
you see here. Now I love these pieces. I started collecting them and what I've been looking for
is the more unique scenes like this one you see here with the desert, because typically
the ones you find most often are this style, where they have the palm tree and sort of the
beach scene. While I think these are nice, they're just a little more common, so I've really been on
the lookout for ones that are a little more unique. And this particular one is a single
earring I found. I don't even have the match to it, but I held on to it just because I think
they're beautiful and possibly it could be repurposed for something. And then this is
another one I found recently that I thought was unique. We have this bird who's made of sort of a
mosaic, and I'm not sure exactly if that's gold flakes or some sort of stone inlay or just,
you know, a metallic paint. I'm really not sure, but I just thought that was beautiful.
And this one is also on sterling, a really nice old tube hinge style.
That one, and I may have shared this one with you all. This was the first or one of the first
butterfly wing brooches that I picked up, and this one I just thought was unique because it
didn't have any scene reverse painted on it, which I really don't see very often. And this one as well
set on sterling. They all sort of look like they might be the same maker. I'm actually not sure.
And then finally, this one I thought was so unique. I've never seen another one quite like this.
This one is lucite, and there's that beautiful bird in the center and those flowers. And I actually
picked this one up from another YouTuber. So Sandra over at the Funky Pickle Thrifter,
I love her channel. She does some amazing hauls and is very knowledgeable with jewelry. She just,
she goes to auctions and yard sales and finds a ton of amazing things, and I just think she's
very fun. So she did a little kind of pop-up jewelry sale a few months back, and she had
offered this piece up, and I fell in love with it, and I'm so happy to have it now. I just think it's
really, really unique. So that is my small little butterfly wing jewelry collection.
So yeah, I hope to keep adding some of the more unique butterfly wing scenes.
And then next, I'm going to share a few pieces that I picked up from Shop Goodwill. I purchased
a vintage antique lot, and I really wasn't sure what was going to be in it. I saw the photos,
but it's sometimes hard to make out exactly what is in those lots. So there were a few
really interesting items. This one I love. So this is brass with a purple glass stone,
and here's what the back of that one looks like.
I just think the design of this is so beautiful. It almost has sort of an art nouveau look to it,
just with sort of the fluid lines and the florals. It's really, really beautiful. So
just costume jewelry, but I absolutely love this piece. This next one is actually the reason I
purchased the lot. I saw this in the photos and honestly just fell in love with it. It is
so beautiful. So this is hand painted, and if you look closely, you can see some of the brush
strokes. There is some damage to the piece. If you can see, there are some scratching,
unfortunately, kind of throughout the piece. But if you look closely at the painting here,
what I loved so much besides just the face and the hair and how beautiful she is, look at her
finger down here, and she is holding what looks to be a dragonfly. Maybe it's a butterfly. I'm
actually not sure, but I just thought that was so charming and sweet, and I'm just in love with
the painting on this, this portrait. I think it's so beautiful, and it's something I've never seen
before. So here's what the back of this piece looks like. It has that really nice, long
pin there. It's kind of a simple latch closure, and I believe this is ceramic that it's painted
on and just brass, and it's such a nice big size. I just think this is so beautiful. So there's no
markings on it, no maker, so I really don't know anything about it. If anybody watching
has any idea, I would love to learn more about this, but I love her. And here is another really
stunning little brooch. So I just absolutely love the color of that faceted stone in the center
there, that aquamarine blue. Oh, so beautiful. Again, just costume, gold tone, but I just love it. I think
it's so feminine looking, sparkling, beautiful. And then this piece also came in that same Shop Goodwill
lot. So this is gold filled. The actual setting here is marked, very tiny. And then this
carved stone or glass, I'm actually not sure, but if you can see, I'm trying to
hold it up so you can see that it's translucent, right? So it's either glass or
possibly carnelian. I would have to do more research on that, but it's a really beautiful
portrait there with the flowing hair. I just thought that was really, really interesting and
something I wanted to do a little more research on. So we have that item. And then this piece I
thought was very interesting. So I'm actually not entirely sure if this was a pendant or,
I'm going to assume so, just looking at this sort of round piece that maybe a chain was threaded
through here at one time. If you see here, it looks like a Roman sort of soldier carving
on this faceted teardrop shape. And I believe this is jet. So I did do the test, the scratch
test, and it scratches sort of that brownish color that you get when you scratch jet.
So I believe this is jet. It's a lightweight piece. At first I thought maybe it was Bakelite
or something, but no, I believe this is jet. And even just looking at the way this is made,
I've never seen a ring like this. So I just thought this was very unique. Don't know much about it,
but I think it's super interesting and I love the carving on that. Now these two items,
I also don't know too much about, but they seem to be made of the same material. So this one's
has that same sort of portrait with the flowing hair. Looks very similar to the portrait we see
here. So I believe it's the same image, which is interesting, right? But this has this really
beautiful intricate brass top to it. And then this piece is another sort of helmeted soldier,
but I don't know what this is. So this one here is obviously a pendant, right? We have the jump
ring there that would thread onto a necklace, but this, it has this indentation going around
the edge, which makes me think it had some sort of thread going around it perhaps at one point.
Maybe it's some sort of tool that I just don't know the function of, but if anybody watching
has any idea, I would love to learn more. And the material of these, I don't know if this is
corn of some sort, if it's just plastic, tortoise shell, I really, I'm not sure. But again, this is
a translucent, very hard, kind of feels like glass, but it's not as cold as you would expect
glass to be. So again, things I have to do a little more research on, but I think they're
very interesting. Definitely think they have some age to them. And then these beautiful couplings
also came from that shop Goodwill lot. And in my lighting, these look white, but they're actually
a really beautiful light pink color again with the raised carved face. So these are just on brass
and there's no markings here. Oh, sorry. There are markings, huh? Okay. That's right. But they
don't really give me much to work with. I think it says MM Co. So I don't know if these are
resin. They feel kind of cold or if these are glass or I'm not sure. I'm going to go with glass.
They do feel a little bit cold to the touch. I thought these were kind of sweet.
And there was another pair of couplings in that lot, which are these beautiful
blister pearl mother of pearl couplings. And these have an abalone shell on the back
and they are sterling. So these are quite old. They're definitely tarnished as you can see,
but they are marked sterling right here on the back. But I think these are absolutely beautiful.
Just look at the sheen and the iridescence on these. Those are lovely.
And there were a number of really interesting gold tone pins, smaller pins that I probably
wouldn't consider brooches necessarily. Now this piece here has the pin, but it also has this
little clip, which I believe allows you to convert it into a necklace, but maybe even something else
because it's not, you know, your typical bail or jump ring. It is almost like a money clip style,
right? That little piece back there. And this I believe is brass, maybe with a gold plating.
And this little one, this looks maybe Masonic to me with the crescent
moon and the three stars, those little triangles. I don't know
what that means exactly. And there is some engraving here. Let's see if I can bring this
closer. So C, D, D, C there at the bottom. And then I really can't make out, I remember looking
through my loop trying to make out if there was a metal marking. I thought maybe that top right
said 10K, but I don't think it does. So these are just some sort of manufacturer marks, I suppose.
But I thought that was a really interesting little pin, those little faux pearls, kind of cool.
And then next up we have two absolutely beautiful Bohemian garnet brooches. These ones came out of
a thread up box, I believe. Out of the same box, I'm assuming they had the same owner originally.
Here's what the back of these look like. It's a nice tube hinge style, definitely older. This
absolutely beautiful. I love these. I have a Bohemian garnet ring and then a really tiny
little round brooch. So these are going into my collection. I'm looking for earrings next.
I think that would be really nice because this piece here, as you can see, does have a bail,
so this could be worn as a necklace, which I think is beautiful. And here we've got this
really sweet little brass buckle. I just love the little etched leaf design and it's so small.
Here's what that back looks like. So I'm assuming this is off of some sort of Victorian
clothing, maybe it's for a belt or a sash of some sort, but I just thought it was a really
interesting piece. It's beautiful. And then here we have this really interesting locket. It has
usually 800 silver. It's done in this sort of filigree style. I know there is a name for it,
Kenateel, is that right? I may be mispronouncing that, but I know there is a name for that type of
work and typically it's done in silver. Here's what the back of this looks like.
This is a locket, so let me see if I can pop this open. So here's what the inside looks like. So
there is some monogramming up at the top there. And then on the inside here,
KO25, not sure what that means. There's some numbers here as well, KO25. So yeah, I don't
know what KO25 means and I believe this is just brass. I don't think it had any other metal markings
if I recall. Just a really interesting item. I've never seen this sort of filigree style work on a
locket like this. I thought that was interesting. And there were a number of bangles in that shop
Goodwill lot. I'm going to start off with these. So these are obviously very tiny little bangles,
children's bangles made from brass, I believe. So this one has some really beautiful
etched design in it and this one does open with the latch. Let's see. So this one is hard to,
you have to press in this tiny little button and pull at the same time and
it's really hard to do with my nails, so I don't think I'm going to be able to get this open.
But I did look at this before and I don't believe that there are any markings.
And then this one is just a thinner little bangle.
Really, really sweet. So you can see the etching is on sort of the front half here and this one
says Cassie. I don't know if you guys can see that. Cassie. Here is sort of a bigger example
of that same sort of hinge design. I'm not going to close it all the way or else I'm not going to
be able to get it back open for you all. But look how beautiful the design is on this. This one's a
much deeper carving or mold, I suppose, with personalization there. An E. Just looking for
markings on this. I don't think there are any. But yeah, really beautiful. Nice thick bangle.
We have another bangle here with a safety chain and this one is marked. Let's see if I can,
maybe if I open this, you can get that in focus. Okay, and we're upside down
right there. So this one is gold filled as you can see on the inside there.
Very, very pretty. I love that and I love that this design goes all the way around. A lot of
the other pieces we just saw had, you know, a design right on the front and then it had more
of a plain style on the back where it would be the bottom of your wrist. So this one's really,
really nice. And here is another gold filled one. So this one has a really beautiful
rose gold looking flower at the front with some sort of green enameled leaves.
Just a plain style all the way around and this one is marked here on this piece that slides.
So also gold filled. This one is very, very sweet with that rose design.
And this piece came out of a thredUP box recently. This one is sterling silver with
that safety chain. This one has a different style mechanism. This
one is much easier to open than those bangles we were just looking at.
And this piece, so this one is marked
925 tie. So I'd imagine this one isn't too old just based on that stamping but it's definitely
meant to look vintage. It may be vintage. I just don't think it's antique or anything like that
but really, really beautiful. So these are a really fun find. I believe these came out of
thredUP box as well. And these are Kirk's Follies. They have that classic moon face
design with the rhinestones and I just think they're so beautiful. Look at the iridescence
on the moon face there. You can see on the back there it is marked Kirk's Folly. So I don't know
sort of the age of these. These might even be a newer style but they're a classic design for
Kirk's Folly, that moon face. And I think they are beautiful so I was happy to add these to my
collection. Next up are two really fun, kind of similar looking at least to me, color-wise pieces.
This bottom one here is actually a brooch so it does have a pin. These beautiful blue
faceted stones. And then this piece must have come off of something else. So there is no
catch, there's no pin. It's just sort of a piece but I just thought it was so beautiful I had to
save it. These gorgeous cobalt blue faceted stones. I just think this is stunning. So I don't know what
I'm going to do with it yet but I had to rescue it and save it and I'm sure I will either turn
this into a necklace or it would make a beautiful brooch if I added a pin somehow but I love that.
I just think it's beautiful. Next we have a pair of clip-on earrings that are so beautiful.
So you have these orange glass beads with some faux pearls and some rhinestones and some baguette
style emerald cut almost rhinestones. I'm going to flip these around to show you the backs.
So there's no maker's mark on these but you can see they're wired. So somebody handmade these
definitely. They're kind of wired to hold all the beads on the front and I know that often Miriam
Haskell made things in this sort of way. I don't know that these are hers. I can't really attribute
them to her but I just think they're from that same sort of era made in a similar way. They kind
of have that aesthetic but I think they're probably not Haskell but somebody who admired
her work perhaps. I think they're really beautiful and interesting though. I love these.
Next up is a really interesting little pin. It looks like a banjo or maybe a mandolin. I'm not
sure what instrument this is meant to be. You can see we definitely have some tarnish going on here
but that's okay. We have this mother of pearl and I just thought this was charming and interesting
and unique. Very cute. Along the same lines we have another mother of pearl pin. This one is a
peace dove and I'm a sucker for mother of pearl pins like this. I think they're beautiful. I know
they don't hold too too much value because I think they're fairly common but I love them.
Here's what the back of that looks like. I just think it's really sweet. Now these two items I
actually just found last weekend at my local antique shop. They were in a tiny little plastic
baggie for $5 and I just loved the look of their faces. These carved flowing hair art nouveau style
pins and they are both pins. Here's what the backs look like. This top one is marked sterling
so I know for a fact that is sterling. This one is not marked but it did test as silver with the acid
so this could be plated. It could be solid sterling. I'm not sure. These are both quite
small but I just think they're so beautiful and super well done.
I love their faces. I love the flowing hair. I love these. So beautiful and for $5 I think that's
a steal. Necklace and bracelet set and how beautiful. It's these little dogwood flowers
all in sterling. So beautiful. I actually wore this to a wedding recently. Let me just show you
the back and the marking so you can see here is marked sterling and then the bracelet.
The bracelet is marked on the spring ring here but just really really beautiful.
I really enjoyed wearing this. This is a set of earrings but they're so interesting because each
one is different and I know that's a trend now to have mismatched earrings but these are definitely
vintage and I just thought they were really cool. So in this one we have that globe and on this one
we have three little animals. So we have I believe that's a tiger. We have a little monkey and a
zebra. How cool. I love these so they're marked 925 and I just thought they were really interesting
so I don't know if it's sort of a Noah's ark theme or just animals of the world. I'm not sure
but they are sterling. All these little animal charms are also marked 925 and the little globe
is marked on the bottom sterling as well. So I just thought these were really cool and unique.
Pretty fun. Yeah so this piece I love this ring. So I did I definitely paid up for this. This was
in my antique store so I paid about retail for it but look how beautiful the turquoise is. It's
marked on the back here sterling p jones sterling. So this is native I believe it's zuni
and I mean look oh it's so big. Definitely a statement ring but I have worn this out a few
times and gotten compliments on it so it's definitely people notice it when you wear this
but I love it. I think it is absolutely gorgeous and again since I purchased this just for myself
to keep I didn't mind paying up for it and then same with this one here we have a little art fair
that comes to my town and there was a seller selling a bunch of amber jewelry and I picked
this beautiful ring out. I just love the setting again. I loved the size it is nice and large
really really beautiful. I love that. I'm not too familiar with these types of purses
so this came in that antique jewelry lot from Shop Goodwill again and it is this blue velvet
beaded tassel bag. I don't know the age of this I don't even know what this type of bag is called
but it is very interesting so if you guys are familiar with this please let me know. I don't
know if this is a true antique bag. It looks in to be in very very good condition if it is
Victorian of some sort or maybe if this is sort of a
replica or reproduction type bag. I don't know but I thought that was really interesting and quite
cute. Here we have a whole handful of brooches so these three on the right are all very similar
in style and they must be from that same time period that floral leaf design and I just think
they're really really cool. Let me show the backs of these oops I dropped one. I love these
and then this little one I just love the color of the rhinestones here this sort of aqua teal
blue just absolutely beautiful. I believe this is brass. I just thought the the color of the
rhinestones was unique. Beautiful and now these two I also found at my local antique store
and this one has that absolutely beautiful cobalt blue stone in the center really sparkly
beautiful rhinestones. Here's what the back of that looks like and this one here I thought was
an interesting shape just simple cute little bar brooches. We have this brooch or pin which I
thought was interesting so this has some faux pearls and it has that same sort of wired design
as those earrings I showed you so somebody hand made and wired those little pearls on and I just
thought that was really cute no maker's mark just kind of interesting. Two little cameo style pieces
so this one I thought was really beautiful just a really small teeny tiny little brooch. Here's
what the back of that looks like so I don't think it's super super old but really cute but again I
believe this is just brass and now this one I think is a little more interesting you can see
it's definitely an older woman that is shown here at least that's what it looks like to me
really interesting shape and it looks like maybe something is broken off of this so I don't know
what this was originally and it appears to be gold plated there's no markings on it I don't
actually know what this is but I think it's very interesting and I would love to know more about it
just another piece that I had to sort of save even though I didn't know the purpose of it
it's really cool and two more kind of similar type items we have this piece and this little piece
these obviously were pendants of some sort since they have jump rings now this one may have been
like a watch fob it may have had sort of a wound like retractable sort of piece to it that is
missing I'm not sure this has some little etching on both sides and I just thought it was interesting
and then this piece here as well not sure not sure what it's made out of
but I thought they were cool now this bangle I have been wearing recently because I think it's
so beautiful so you can see this floral pattern that goes all the way around now this one doesn't
actually have any stamping so there's no sterling stamping no 925 but I have tested it and it is
certainly sterling and I just think it looks beautiful and stacked with some of my other
bracelets so this was a nice find this came out of a thread up box recently and then here's one
so we have this really cute blue rhinestone floral bouquet I guess and it's in a little
bit of rough shape but I think this was a dollar if I remember or 50 cents yeah it was four but
I know that it was marked down so I think this was a dollar that I paid for it and I think it's
because there is a replacement stone that doesn't match but I thought that was okay I didn't mind
that too much I just thought it was really beautiful and I love the larger stone up top there
it's huge now this next set of items aren't necessarily vintage but I just found them
in a thread up box and I thought I would share them with you because maybe you guys
have some more insight on them because I was really interested and surprised by these so
this little shambhala style bracelet the beads are wooden this centerpiece is sterling and all
of these stones that you see tested as diamond so you can see these really large rough cut
diamonds there I mean there's definitely some carat weight there now clearly these aren't you
know d color flawless diamonds they're definitely included they're rough cut they're not you know
the highest graded quality but they're quite sizable and I think they're really beautiful
and same with all of these tiny little set diamonds as well those are all diamond so
there's no maker's mark on this item and I was surprised that you know they would have
this much carat weight of diamonds on a wooden style bracelet like this so I have no idea who
makes this I have no idea of the value but I thought that was very very interesting and in
the same lot I'm going to show you these other pieces which I wonder if they're the same brand
or not so let me pull these out okay so out of that same thread up lot came these items so we
have this very large beautiful crescent moon made out of sterling we have this piece which clearly
you know used to go on either a necklace or a bracelet again it is sterling and then another
necklace with these sterling charms and all of this little pave stones here are diamond as well
so they're definitely multi-color diamonds so again they're not you know the bright white highest
quality diamond maybe if I bring this up closer you can see so you can probably see it best on
this pendant how there are different shades of the stone there's some grayish tone ones there's
some black diamonds there's some more white tone pieces so it's definitely a mixed variety of
diamonds but they are diamonds same thing here on our little crescent moon these ones are a
little smaller and then these little pieces and both the crescent moon and this one are on beaded
style cords so there are no makers on either of these this piece doesn't even have a clasp so
there's no no chance of seeing a mark on that this crescent moon one does have a clasp but it's
just this okay so it's just a little hook there is no maker's mark on it so I don't know if
someone watching this has seen this before and maybe knows the maker of these pieces I genuinely
don't know how to look them up to you know determine value or who they're made by but I
would love to know more particularly about this bracelet because I just I've never seen anything
quite like this and you know maybe I should take these to a jeweler and ask I don't know
but I thought I would share them here yeah so I have so much more jewelry that I could share
with you I actually have this entire oh I forgot to share these I'm gonna share these really fast
before I go on this video so these are just some really cute tiny cameo earrings they are sterling
screw backs these are just resin but I do think these are sweet so they do need to be cleaned up
but yeah I have those on my tray as well to share but this piece here I got this jewelry
jar from my local antique store and I have quite a few more that I hope to share with you soon but
this video I've been recording for almost an hour now so I'm going to end this one here thank you
all so much for watching if you have any more information about any of the pieces I've shown
I love to learn and really appreciate all the knowledge you guys share with me so feel free
to leave a comment and let me know if you have any more information about any of these pieces
and yeah I will be back soon with some more jewelry hope you have a wonderful day
and thank you so much for watching have a good one bye guys
