Hi everybody, I hope you're having a wonderful day. So today I am back with some more jewelry.
These are items that I have collected over the last month or so. Some are from my favorite little
antique store in the town just over from me, one of my favorite places to shop, and they have some
really beautiful things this time. I also purchased a few things from a fellow YouTuber, Dana, over at
Killer Queen Antique Jewelry, so I'm going to share those with you in this haul, and I'm going to link
as well as just some other little online purchases that I found. So yes, let's get started. The first
thing I'm going to share is this absolutely gorgeous antique morning locket. This I found
online and the seller didn't have it listed as an antique morning locket. I don't think they knew
really what it was, which worked out for me in terms of the price, but just a really beautiful
piece. Here is what the back looks like. We have that tube hinge and c-clasp there. It's a really
nice, thick, beautiful piece. I believe that this is jet. We have this gorgeous carving on the front,
and it does open up. It has a really tough locking mechanism here, so let me see if I can get this
on camera. There we go. And so inside we have this gorgeous double portrait, these antique
colorized portraits. On this side we have what appears to me to be a younger image of this woman,
and then on this side she does appear to be a bit older. I don't have any idea as to who this is
or where this brooch came from really, but what a beautiful piece. It's so gorgeous.
You hear that really nice snap it has. It locks really, really tightly, which is nice.
It's in absolutely beautiful condition, and I love it. So that is one of my favorites on the
trade today. The next is another piece that I believe to be jet, and it's this gorgeous
teardrop shaped pendant. It has some faceted edges, and then this beautiful inset hand-painted
little portrait there. It's really, really gorgeous. Here's what the back of this piece looks like.
And the piece that I purchased was just this pendant here. I have had this faceted black
beaded necklace for a while. I believe that this is just cut glass, but I thought it would make a
really nice necklace to add this pendant to since it was missing a chain for its original necklace,
and I think it's a really nice match because of the little faceted edges to these beads that
kind of matches the facets on the edge of the pendant. Yeah, so just a really gorgeous pendant.
I love it. I love anything with these hand-painted details. It's something I've started to collect and
look out for, and you know, they're miniature pieces of art, and how beautiful. Who doesn't love that?
So that is that piece. Speaking of hand-painted pieces, I also picked up this gorgeous little
hand-painted angel or cherub. How beautiful. And this one is on a porcelain backing, and it's a
little cherub playing a violin, and I thought it was really sweet and perfect for Valentine's Day
that is coming up. It's really well done, I think, also. Here's what the back of this one looks like.
It definitely has, you know, some wear might need to be cleaned up a little bit, but
overall it's actually in really nice condition. The painting on the front looks beautiful, I think.
So that is a really sweet one.
And oh yes, I also found this really gorgeous locket with this beautiful colorized portrait.
I believe this is a wedding portrait, and she is so beautiful. I love the little tint of green
that the image has as well. I just think that that's really, really charming. And this is
double-sided, so on the back we have this portrait of a child. So I don't know if that this is the
child and this is the mother, I don't know. I have no idea who this person is, but what a
beautiful portrait. I just loved it. You can see up at the top here, it is marked, and this is rolled
gold. I believe that's what that says. So this is a rolled gold pendant with a little double-sided
portrait, and I just thought it was really beautiful. And next, I'm going to share some
pieces that I picked up from Dana over at Killer Queen Antique Jewelry. So I love butterfly wing
jewelry, and she had a few, I think it was two weeks ago, two weekends ago, and I was so excited
to be able to grab a few of them. So this first one here, I loved when she showed it because the
size. So this is the largest butterfly wing brooch that is in my collection now, so I knew immediately
when she pulled it out that it was something I was going to bid on. And I loved the color, it has a
really, really bright, vibrant color to the wing. I have many of them in varying colors and states of
wear. This one happens to be in really, really nice condition, and it is in sterling silver,
that really long pin on the back. Just beautiful though. I loved this one, loved the size, loved
how bright and vibrant it was. Gorgeous. Thank you, Dana. I love it. And the other piece I picked up
from that auction was this really beautiful sterling silver pendant. Again, we have our
butterfly wing and then a reverse painted image onto the glass here. And this is a little king
fisher bird. How beautiful. Again, in sterling silver. And I really like these pieces, these
little scenes, when they're a little bit different. Most often they are the tropical scene where you
have a palm tree and the ocean, which I think are beautiful. But I really like to find these pieces
that have a little bit different scene or an animal like this bird. I loved it. And it's also
a really nice, larger size. I have a few that are quite small. So yeah, I was really happy to add
this one to my collection. Beautiful. And then Dana was so kind to include a few little extras
in the package. And this was one of them. How beautiful. So this is a sterling silver brooch
as well. Got more of a bar style shape with this gorgeous butterfly wing piece on the front.
Absolutely beautiful. This is something I probably would have purchased anyway. So thank you, Dana.
I love it. How gorgeous. And then something that I thought was really fun that she did
when she shipped the items, she used this as the jewelry box. So everything was wrapped really
nicely and packaged well. But this was the box that she had everything presented in. And I thought
it was so fun. So these are antique glasses. They are gold filled. They are marked on the
nose bridge here. But how fun what a cool way to send the jewelry over. I loved that. I do like to
set up little displays for my antique pieces. So these are awesome. I think these are going to look
so cool in one of those displays. I love them. I just thought that was a really fun
touch that she used this as the jewelry box. So what a cool thing. Thank you, Dana.
Love it. What next? Maybe I'll share this piece. So I was so excited when I found this piece. So
this was at my little antique store that I like to pop into just in the town over from me. And
they have wonderful things and great prices. So this was sitting in one of the cases and it was
$60. And I thought, Oh, gosh, that has to come home with me. And it is so beautiful. So this
is all sterling silver. And this metalwork is so beautiful. It's so finely done. I mean,
just look at how beautiful these little filigree swirls around and then these beautiful
cabochon carnelian stones. Just stunning. So beautiful and really large as well. The other
thing I thought was interesting is how long this necklace actually is. So you can see all the links
all the way up the chain are these beautiful swirled filigree links, you know, coming up to
our traditional spring ring clasp there, but it's really quite long. Typically when I find antique
necklaces, they're short, you know, there may be 15 inches, 16 inches max. This one is quite,
quite long. I actually haven't measured it yet. But I want to say this is like 24 inches long.
So I thought that was interesting. I typically don't find antique necklaces in that length. But
isn't this absolutely gorgeous? Oh my gosh, I love it. So beautiful. I was so happy to
find this. And I thought that that was an incredible price for this beautiful necklace.
In the same case where they have all their little sterling silver pieces, I also found this
not necessarily an antique piece but a really beautiful sterling silver Mexican
piece and here it is marked as silver Mexico on the clasp there and all these pieces they're
really interesting. They're almost like little individual buckles. That's sort of what this
shape reminds me of. But you have these beautiful leaves with what looks like grapes to me when I
saw this, I thought this was grape and grape leaves. I don't know if that is what the design
was intended to be. But that is what it looks like to me. I just thought it was really beautiful.
And again, they had this price really, really well. I think this was $25. So I could not leave
it there for that price. What a beautiful piece. Really happy to have found that one.
I also grabbed this beautiful little sterling silver deer pin from that same case.
It is marked silver Mexico on the back. I just thought it was adorable. I love the simple
style of it. Look at his little face. Just adorable. I just liked the fluid lines of it.
And I just thought it was so so sweet. I had to take this one home with me as well.
And then I did find this beautiful pair of earrings. So these are sterling silver with
inlaid turquoise. They're not marked, but they certainly are sterling and they look native to me.
Not entirely sure but they do have that beautiful inlaid style and I just loved them.
And then this brooch I just thought was really interesting. I have seen these little painted
Mother of Pearl brooches before. I couldn't remember at the time where they were from. I
knew that they were from a specific place and I looked it up since and I believe they are Peruvian.
So I believe this is a hand painted Peruvian brooch. So it is Mother of Pearl with this
really interesting hand painted scene on the front. You have, you know, this character at
the very front playing some type of guitar or mandolin. We have these two in the back. I'm not
quite sure what they're doing. I don't know if they're trading goods or what but just a really
interesting scene. I just thought it was unique. Here is what the back looks like and I don't
believe this is precious metal or anything but I just thought it was interesting and it was only
a few dollars so I did grab this one. I just thought it was kind of cool. And then I found
these two brooches that are a little bit similar in that they're both glass, carved glass. So this
first one here is a zodiac. So this I believe is Capricorn and you can even see along the edges
here we have the little stars and some little symbols that all sort of relate to zodiac or
astrology and I just thought it was beautiful. So it is reversed carved on the back. Just a really
interesting piece. I thought this was probably a collectible item. I know a lot of the zodiac
pieces are and I'm sure that there is one for each. I am not a Capricorn, I'm a Pisces but
I still thought it was really cool and worth picking up. And the other glass brooch I found
was this one. So also reverse carved we have this bouquet of flowers that is also painted,
reverse painted on the back. I just thought it was really charming and I also really liked
the filigree on the frame. Just a really beautiful little piece I thought.
And here is another interesting glass piece. So this necklace, they have a whole display of
hanging necklaces with all sorts of beads and things and they're all priced really really well.
This was under ten dollars. I want to say this was like maybe six dollars and I thought it was
worth grabbing for that. It does have this barrel clasp and each of the beads is hand knotted in
between with the little end caps. I just thought they were really beautiful. So each one has the
millefiore style flower and I really liked the blue color of these beads.
I'm not sure how old these would be. I do have it doubled up here. It's actually one long
strand. I just thought they were really beautiful. Beautiful art glass. And on that same
rack of hanging necklaces I grabbed this one. Now this is carved bone. I just thought they
were really well done and really interesting. So you have this graduated size that goes
smaller up to the top and even this little clasp is made of carved bone. So I just thought it was
really interesting and I know it had to have taken quite a long time to carve this, carve all
these beautiful beads and this clasp out of bone. So I just thought that this was beautiful and
worth saving. Don't know much about it but just thought it was very interesting.
This is just a sweet little coral heart necklace. So this is carved coral on a gold filled chain.
Just simple but I thought it was really sweet. So I did pick this one up.
Then another gold filled piece. This actually came in a little lot of jewelry. I'm going to show you
that at the end. But I pulled this one out just because I thought it looked really really nice
and then when I flipped it over it is marked Vandell on the back. I don't know if you're going
to be able to make that out but it is marked Vandell 120th 12 carat gold filled. Just a
beautiful little glass crystal rhinestone in that beautiful pink color. I just thought it was
beautiful. What a nice piece. Out of that same little jewelry lot this popped out and I thought
it was super interesting. So you have this bouquet of flowers and it is definitely older. Here is
what the pin looks like and I believe that this is celluloid. So I don't know the age of this. I've
not done any research on it but when this popped out of that little jar I just thought it was
interesting and certainly something I wanted to research further. So if you have more information
from me about this piece please let me know. I just thought it was cool and I have been collecting
celluloid and some vintage plastics recently as well. Here's another piece of vintage plastic
or celluloid and it's a buckle. So this came out of that jar as well and I thought this was
interesting. I thought it's interesting that we have some remnants of some green dye. I don't know if
that means that this little bow buckle was originally green and the color has worn off
or if the green has come from the metal. You know I don't know. If you guys know please let me know.
I just thought this was a cool piece. Oh yes I also found this really beautiful mesh chain purse.
I do love these and you know what I didn't own one. I've seen them. I know that they come in
sterling silver. This one I believe is just German silver or nickel silver. Let's see if it's marked.
Yeah so this says German silver soldered mesh. So German silver is not sterling silver. I believe
it's mainly nickel and zinc and some other alloys but it definitely has the look of sterling and I
thought that it was really beautiful and in really nice condition. I've also come across
these before where the mesh has little holes in it or little pulls and this one is in really nice
shape. I just thought that was sweet so I did pick this up. I found a few really interesting
little jewelry boxes. So that's another thing I've been looking for more recently. So this one
is this beautiful royal blue velvet and then you have this little pin. It opens up like that and
this is a Detroit jeweler Hugh Connelly Detroit Michigan. So I just thought that was really
beautiful. I think this was maybe two or three dollars and I had to grab it for that.
Maybe this held little stick pins or something but just a really cool box. I thought it's in
really nice shape as well. I thought the little pin was interesting. I haven't seen that little
mechanism before and another kind of cool little jewelry box here. This is from the UK.
So it says Wolverhampton. I'm not even truthfully sure where this is located in the UK. This is just
a little paper box ring box but I thought it was cool. Anything that has you know antique lettering
or some sort of design on it I am drawn to. So I thought this was a cool little box to add to my
collection and this one I thought was particularly interesting because it's really quite large.
You've got this light blue velvet and then you open it up so you have these compartments down
here and for you know necklaces bracelets etc and rings but then it also has these little
detachable pouches. They snap on. I don't know I just thought this was really interesting. I'd
never seen anything quite like that and I thought it was really beautiful. So I grabbed this little
box as well. It doesn't have a maker's mark on it anywhere so I'm not quite sure but thought it was
cool. And then this box here I just thought was really interesting. You have this sort of compass
rose design on it and I do have some items in here so I don't know if I should flip this over but
I'm going to. You can see right here it is marked polished lambskin handcrafted in Spain.
So this is a polished leather lambskin exterior and I just thought it was interesting and inside
here I this is some items that came from that little jewelry jar where I found this celluloid
pin and this necklace. These were just some of the other items from that. Not a lot nothing
too spectacular but there were some interesting pieces. This little religious cross there was
another one just this one here that's quite large that I thought were interesting. This brooch I
but it is missing some stones not marked anywhere but yeah just just some various little
little items that uh not particularly valuable but interesting and something I thought I could
either repair or use. These are mainly just costume pieces so just some chains and some
little things like that nothing of crazy value unfortunately but just a cool little box.
And is there anything else that I missed? Oh I think there are a few things. I did pick up
this adorable little cupid just for Valentine's Day. I just thought he was really sweet and I
believe it's just pot metal. I don't think he is sterling but adorable. What a sweet little
Valentine's Day pin I thought. Really really cute and this little I also found this adorable
little wishbone brooch. We are missing the rhinestone in this little flower here. I thought
it was so sweet. What an adorable little good luck charm brooch and that's something I could
really easily replace. Here's what the back looks like. I think this is maybe 1940s. You guys let
me know. That's what the style looks like to me. Just really really cute. Then oh yes this piece
I found this for a few dollars. I think they thought this was just costume jewelry at the
little thrift store I was at but I noticed the clasp here was actually marked 925. It's
going to be really hard to see but it's marked right there on the clasp and this is actually
dyed coral so you have these little round chips of coral. I actually thought this was really
beautiful so I thought I would save this from the thrift store for a few dollars. I thought that was
a nice find. Oh and then these tiny little cufflinks these were two dollars and I thought
that they looked antique and I really loved this pair with this beautiful glass. It has a little
bit of glitter like goldstone and some of the turquoise blue color. I just thought they were
really beautiful. Maybe these are gold filled. Not marked anywhere. Definitely have a little bit of
wear but I think they were cool and worth saving and same thing with these. These ones have a
little more wear. You have this little opalescent glass center stone with a little clover.
Yeah just some antique cufflinks that I saved for a few dollars from the thrift store.
So I think that is everything on the tray today. Let me know if you had a favorite piece. I
definitely had oh I forgot this one other piece. It's nothing too too crazy. This is just a little
sterling silver bangle and if you look inside the hinge it is marked marathon sterling. That's
a really beautiful diamond cut etching along the outside. Yeah those are the items I had to share
with you today. Let me know if you had a favorite piece. I have lots of favorites. This carnelian
necklace I was kind of astounded to find that for the price I did at the antique store. This morning
brooch locket is just incredible. I absolutely love this piece.
A little hand-painted cherub I thought was adorable. A little photo locket. This beautiful
sterling silver Mexican necklace gorgeous. Oh my gosh the butterfly wings stunning love. Yeah some
really incredible pieces I thought that I was lucky enough to find over the last month. Let me know
what you guys thought and thank you so so much for spending some time with me today. I will be
