We're in Croatia, Zagreb, and today we're gonna show you our favorite cheap eats, our favorite Croatian cheap eats. Now guys, I'm Ross, and Beck's right behind the camera. Let's get going. ♪ I'm gonna meet someone else ♪ ♪ I don't know, I'm gonna meet someone else ♪ You know you're onto something good when they make you line up with all of the locals, and we got no special treatment. They cut the borek up if you want to stay here, or you get it in a triangle if you wanna take it away. Let's taste the borek. Let's taste it. Oh my God, that is amazing. Really flaky, crispy outside, and on the inside, really gooey. A really gooey inside, and then a local Croatian cheese in there too. Delicious, one of my favorite dishes, and I think a lot of the locals agree. Now one little pro tip is, I'm not really sure the origin of borek. If you ask people, it was Bosnia, Turkey, like everyone across Europe claims the borek, but Croatia make it their own. It's delicious, it's fresh. Come to this spot, they are so nice. Little bit more. Wow. I grew up with seafood, and absolutely love it. I'm always searching for fresh seafood wherever we go, and Croatia delivers in spades. Fresh calamari from Zadar, and also white bait. I love how simple it is. They give it a light batter, fresh as, squeeze of lemon, little bit of tartare as well, nice crusty piece of bread, and you just go for it. It's fresh seafood, just eat it. Let's try the calamari. Little bit of tartare, maybe I'll try some in the bread. That's amazing, so good. That calamari is so fresh, it's in no way chewy, you know, people think it's chewy, it's really not. Mm, that citrus in there too, delicious. Let's get some white bait. I know some people get put off by this. You eat the whole little fish here. Mm, taste of the sea. You know when you go for a swim, you get that little taste of the sea? That's what this is, guys, amazing. Mm, I could eat a bucket of these. I'll probably eat this whole lot and order some more. Affordable and delicious. Squid, squid, squid, squid. So strukli is a Croatian dish, a traditional dish, and it's basically a special dough with a cottage cheese, and then they bake it, and they put different flavors in. So the most popular is truffles. The other one is a sweet version, is blueberry, and there's lots of other types too, but we've got truffles and blueberries. So let's try this, some of the truffle first. Okay, before I put any of this in my mouth, I will warn you, it was bubbling when it came out. It's just come out of the oven. Mm, oh, wow, so creamy, but intense truffle flavor, intense. If you like truffles, come check this thing out. That's amazing. It's almost like a lasagna consistency, but just cheese and truffles. One more. Oh, oh, the taste, wow. Okay, I'll save some for back. Now let's try the blueberry. So some sweets. So cottage cheese, special dough, and blueberry. Mm, oh yeah. Big chunks of blueberry in there. It's quite rich. You could easily come here and just share one between two. Hey, we're hungry today. Mm, oh, so simple, but yummy. This is our favorite. We've eaten lots of barbecued meats in Croatia, but this place does a platter. It's near where we live, and well, you get all the different things like cevaps and meat fritters and a kebab, a pork kebab on there, and this stuffed chicken thigh with ham and cheese in there, mushrooms, chips, and this cheesy dip. It's incredible, with a soft, soft piece of bread, and well, crazy value, like 155 kuna. It's easily enough to serve not only two people, but probably three or four, but we're really, really hungry. Anyway, we think it's great value. Let's tuck in and taste this. Now, cevaps, you can get everywhere, in the bread, everyone's serving it, but we just love the other stuff that it comes with here as well. So just put a couple of those in your bread. Even have some onion here. What else do we have? Some chips. I'll leave the other meats for a second. This cheesy dip. Look at that. And just bite in. Yum. Salty, perfectly cooked. A little bit of spice. It's incredible. We just love how simple this thing is. They are salty, oily mushrooms, but just done so good, like the flavor in that is incredible. Let's try this pork kebab. The fat on the outside is crispy and on the inside it's really moist. Fantastic. And probably my favorite is the meat fritter. Yummy. There's some spice in that. Now, my favorite is this chicken that's stuffed with ham and cheese. So well-seasoned and just really tender. Big little, you know, big little. What are you doing?
