We're going through three countries and three different borders We're going to experience everything this trip has to offer
I hope you join us on this journey and enjoy it Enjoy it and take in everything around you It's fun and exciting
Before we get started with the vlog if this is your first time on the channel don't forget to like comment and subscribe
Come on let's go Let's go to Ghana Welcome to Ghana
The Nigerian border is about an hour and a half away It's very short The road is in great condition and very peaceful
This border is really fun I feel like so far it's been the most fun border on the road But yeah we're still here
It's morning again and we've just arrived at the Ghana border
Hi guys Hey babies Hey Tribe Welcome back to the channel Welcome today's video It's been a while
I've been in Nigeria for two weeks now It's time to head back to Accra I can't wait to be back so I can give you guys back-to-back as always
And finally who's going with me this time Hello
She's been saying she wants to visit for a while and it's definitely just been here and there
So yeah we're going to Accra We'll be in Accra today or tomorrow I don't know
For the very first time I'm going to be vlogging a road trip to Accra because this time she's coming with me
We're going to use the road so she can also experience a different country
We thought it would be a fun trip but I didn't want to go on a road trip alone I've always wanted to do a road trip vlog
But the whole process of doing it alone was like hmm But now that we're together we're going to do it We're going to try and make it fun
"So we'ready I think I have just one or two weeks in Accra So we're going to make the most of it You know the way it is right "
We're definitely going to make the most of it So we're going on a road trip I was thinking we'll use a company vehicle
But I feel like there won't be any need for a road trip right Because it should just be straightforward
So if we take the usual route that's short trips then we can go through each country and experience 1 or 2 things there before moving on
This is going to be an exciting vlog I'm going to try to make it as exciting as always Anyway let me get a tripod so I can stand properly
And we can chat a bit before we get started Anyway we're getting ready I feel like it's quite late in the day right
So we can't get a company vehicle I think I'll have to go to different companies and ask It's because of the budget
I was browsing online when I came across the term fiscal but they mentioned it's due tomorrow morning which would mean staying an extra day in Lagos
But I'm not necessarily willing to spend right So we're going to use those smaller vehicles Hopefully we can get something
And we'll go but we might arrive very late Also while I'm doing this I probably won't be able to do it anymore
I would love for someone to join me on this Just so it doesn't get boring Because it's quite a long way
So yeah if you're wondering or want to go on the trip we'll show you everything it involves
But the one thing it entails is obviously your passport And since we're West Africans it's free entry for us
But if you're not from West Africa and don't have an ECOAS passport you'll have to search online for Cuba's requirements
As a West African all you need is your passport COVID certificate and yellow fever certificate
So yeah everything's all set Let's go
Another thing I always do when I'm going on a road trip even within Nigeria or Accra is I like to dress very comfortably
Comfort is always my key word Be comfortable just so
Because you don't know the road conditions You don't know what you'll come across You don't want to be unnecessarily cautious just to be safe
Anyway just dress comfortably This is what I'm wearing I'll show you how it looks
Anyway I guess I'll see you all when I get there I've already done the whole airport trip
So if you haven't seen it you can check out the channel I think I have several of them in total
Then you know the requirements too and how that works
And then you watch the entire trip and then you get to decide what's best for you
Yeah let's go Let's go
I'mหรือไม่ I am full I'm excited It's going to be a fun trip
This is my bag It's an Ankara bag from Zamzam
At first it's just very comfortable You can take it anywhere
My friend makes bags I'm sure you already know that
So this is a free-to-air bag I got it for free I didn't pay for it
If you want one of these you definitely should light
up This house is mine I'll see you guys in a bit Bye
It's been a fun thrilling exciting and tiring few weeks in Nigeria
And finally it's time to get back to life in Ankara
And I'm having this whole sweet and bitter feeling
I'm excited because I'm returning to life in Ankara I'm going
to live with the girl on her way
And at the same time a little sad that I'm leaving home again
Every time I'm leaving I'm like oh I'm leaving home again
Then I'll go to Ankara I'll say oh I'm excited to be here
It's just like that But this is going to be
a fun trip I'm going to make the most of it
And hopefully it will be fun and exciting for you too if you're in
And also you get to know the entire process the whole road condition and how safe it is
It's going to be an exciting trip basically And even more
exciting because I'm going to Ghana with my best friend
It's going to be fun It's going to be exciting
If you're here and still watching and you haven't subscribed to the channel yet
Surely go ahead and subscribe because it's going to be a fun couple of weeks with her in Ghana
We're going to do a lot of things you definitely don't want to miss
A lot of trips in Ghana many amazing places
Therefore now let's focus on this trip
And I'll see you all in a bit
There is one thing I would not miss during this time is the traffic
I definitely would not be missing Lagos traffic
And I'm going back to Ankara traffic
But Ankara traffic is nothing compared to the traffic here in Lagos
Anyway went to a smaller park where they use Sienna vehicles to go to Ghana
Where we can do the whole short trip
It turns out you can end up there for hours
We were sitting there for a long time
Basically no passengers
were coming They keep saying
oh pay I was very lucky that I didn't have to pay
We're just like okay when the vehicle is full and we're leaving then I'll pay you
I just don't want you to keep me here longer than I plan to stay
So we sat for a couple of hours
Nothing was really happening
If you're wanting to use one of those traffic routes those roadside routes going to Benin Togo Ghana
Be careful don't pay first because you could end up stuck there for hours
We met a couple of guys there who had been there for hours and they were just waiting
Anyway I couldn't wait because as I said I didn't want to spend an extra day in Lagos
So it's time to head over to Gisco Park
I need to find out that the people from Gisco have something like a night bus
So I think that would
be fun Yeah let's go there
I'm going to be excited I'm excited
Night trips to Ghana
We are homeless baby
It's going to be fun don't go anywhere
The taxi driver who has been taking us around Lagos was trying to charge me extra
It's like these guys they forget that I'm Nigerian
I'm a true Nigerian
You can't take more money
than you deserve Anyway we're doing that now
We'll be done for a while and then we'll continue with our journey
So we're using the Gisco bus
company They have different options
going to Accra They go to various African countries basically
So they have the smaller buses and then they have those big Macapulu buses
Igbo
That one they go They
treat you like that
That one they go
This one they go this one
You know I had Calabagia
One leg from Calabagia
Cunning liar
Wherever you go they go too
No no this one they
go Igbo
So I've heard from several people that I look like an Igbo person
People usually just assume I'm Igbo
They see me
And now here I am telling this one that I'm an Igbo girl and he's telling me no I'm not
Anyway I often lie about where I'm from
There was a guy in the park to whom I said I'm Ugandan and then another one I told I'm from Mali
And now suddenly I'm from Nigeria
Boxes as well
Those are much more comfortable but the smaller boxes are faster
So went with the smaller boxes instead
And yeah let's go get our ticket and see everything that's required
Offers and their prices
Like I told you I'm going to take you along on this trip so you can get to know everything it involves
There's nothing hidden You're going
to be seeing everything Just so
you'll be more prepared in case you want to embark on this journey
Whenever in the future
So yeah let's go get our ticket and go
Love had me say that the Ugandan case is a far one
As I said there are different vehicles going to different countries
So you can get vehicles going to virtually all these West African countries here
Yeah let's go get our ticket
We went to the ticket counter and they said with the passport it's 53 000 Naira
Then if you are using a regular ID card that identifies you as West African you pay 48 000 Naira
I don't understand why traveling with your passport is so much more expensive than without it
Even the Ghanaians returning home who had their own Ghana card paid less than us Nigerians with Nigerian passports
So they basically said we'll have to pay more because we're traveling with your passport
I don't understand the reasoning behind it but that's basically what occurred
So our transport cost 53 000 Naira each
But then what you can travel with here is either your passport or a valid ID card that can identify you as a West African
Because you can access any West African country as a West African with a valid ID card
That's your NIA your Ghana card or whatever card you use in your country
Because the NIA is the Nigerian identification card and then the Ghana card
Any one you have basically
If you're not from either country you can go and check what you need
for that But yeah this is where it is
We've gotten our tickets
Now it's about@Bean
an exciting day It might be tiring though
But let's see how
it goes Hopefully there's no traffic to the border because there's usually a lot of traffic in Lagos
So let's see how it goes
It was time to board
Before boarding you basically have to take your bag for inspection
They will open the bag and check it to make sure there's no prohibited items inside
Nothing that will delay us at any border or get anyone arrested
So they have security agents here at the back who check your luggage to make sure nothing is forbidden
Because you're traveling through various countries
You're entering different countries
There are many things you can't bring with you
So they have to make sure there's nothing that's going to cause us any problems
So your bags are thoroughly searched
Just so we're on the right track
It's a smooth ride
And then they will ask you if you know if you have any contraband on you
Like drugs anything you're not supposed to have
Throw them away get rid of them
Because if you get you know caught anywhere along the way you'll be left there
Because we're not going to sit there and wait for you to sort your issues out
So make sure you're clean if you're traveling
I think you know what to do with all of that
There are many things you can't bring with you
And if you're carrying goods you should make sure you're carrying them as well
Of course storms and everything else on the way
Yeah just be prepared for it
usked with baggage
inspection And finally we'
re boarded And it's about to be a little tour
I don't know why I'm excited
I know this is a tiring
trip I'm just really excited to see the countryside
Different countries
See the Benin countryside
The Togo countryside
And of course the Ghanaian countryside
But yeah let's go
So before we boarded we had to get water drinks and anything we could chew on
Because there are many different ways for you to get here
Because it's a long trip
You don't want to be in a place where you can't access water
But obviously you can get along the way
But we don't know how far we can get versus where we can't
So we intend to be well prepared for the trip
And we go
And if I'm traveling I really don't like eating food
So I like eating snacks
Gala
I'm Nigerian I'm so
Nigerian Gala
We are two hours late now
No we never reach two hours
We don't mind
It gives us nice time
We left the park by
9pm Because it was a
night trip And two hours late we parked
Trying to refuel the vehicles
Before we leave the Nigerian countryside
That's all across the Nigerian border
Because well that's better
It's usually cheaper in Nigeria than in other African countries
Rida was making sure the tank was filled
Then if you want to take it easy you can
If you want to buy anything you can
So we just parked at a gas station
Somewhere along the Badragwi road
Leading to the border Yeah
Then we get on with it
We are two hours late
We are very
close to the border now Let's go
So we arrived at the Nigerian border around midnight
Yeah we got our passport stamped
Customs and Immigration is different
All the security is top-notch
Then we cross over to the Benin side of the border
We did the same thing
And then now we are just back
Waiting for people to buy anything they want to get And
then we get on
So it's three hours into the day
It's midnight
We just crossed into Benin
We crossed over from the Nigerian side to the Benin Republic side
I'm so tired I feel
like I need to sleep
Yeah We are just waiting
for people to exchange currency If you
want to buy anything you can buy
anything We will do some exercise
Then we get to work
Yeah It's 12am Look
at my face I don't
get black eyeliner
It's stressful
Anyway
I'll see you all
See how tired I am
It's only three hours into the journey
You won't believe how energetic I was
It's going to be exciting It'
s going to be a fun experience
Three hours into the first
border And I'm so tired
It took about three hours to
get from Maitu to
the Nigerian border That's quite a distance And there was no traffic
I think with traffic it will take longer than that
Without traffic it took us about three hours
We left the park by
9pm We reached the
Nigerian border by 3pm
By 12pm Three hours
It's a lot of
things I'm so tired
Second stop
Lakonji border
That is the border between the Republic of Benin and Togo
It took us less than two hours to get from the Nigerian border
That's the semi border
To the Lakonji border
That's two hours
We were inside Benin for about two hours
Driving through Benin for two hours
And now we are at Lakonji We are crossing over to Togo And then
on to the Ghanaian border
We are just stopping by
So we can fill the vehicle
Even if you want to take a break
If you want to buy anything
Exchange currency
It's actually advisable to exchange money at the Ghanaian border
If you are going to Ghana
Because that way you can directly go to Ghanaian cities
From whatever currency you have
But if you are coming from Ghana to Nigeria
You can stop anywhere you want
Second border
The border between the Republic of Benin and Togo
We made a quick stop
Before we continue
From the Nigerian border
This border is about an hour and thirty minutes
It's very short
The road is very good
This border is really fun
So far it's been the most fun border
On the road
We're still here
The face is tired
But the lighting is very great
At Lakonji you can buy anything you want to buy
There is a lot of food
here Drinks
Tea
That's the situation
Shame on the dance
One thing the driver of this vehicle was doing
Was basically keeping us
For hours
He would just park the vehicle
And Pipeline would disappear
Later you will find the reason
Why we get to Ghana
He would just keep us for an hour
At each border
Doing what I don't know
That's why the journey is getting this long
The journey between borders is very short
The long stop Is becoming
quite frustrating I
will see you guys in a
bit It's so busy here
This was around 3
am We have been here for a while now
It's around 3 am
The brawl is so busy
A lot of vehicles coming and
going Going from each direction A
lot of people here
A lot of traders
They are selling their goods
Fresh food It's a lot of
things It's been the most fun and
busy border so far
We have not crossed over to the Togo axis yet I guess
I will see you guys when we cross over to the Togo axis
And then on to the next border
Togo
It's morning again We just
arrived at the Ghana border
We had to make a stop at
the border They took my
information My fingerprint
My international passport
They just had to go through the
whole process again I had to get
stamped into the country With my fingerprint
and all that It's beautiful
I didn't know Ghana could be this secure It's
very beautiful We are
heading back to our bus now
See you all in a bit
Of all the borders the Ghanaian
border is the most chaotic and
touristy They are so chaotic
They had to take our fingerprints
Take a photo of us They got
the whole immigration process
They were just street They
were not totally unfair
I feel like that's how they run the border
But then this border is the most open one we've crossed so far
Then we crossed over to the other side
We had to take our luggage to the customs office
Here at the Aflao border
That's after you complete immigration
You take your own luggage to the customs office
So they can go through everything
I think this is one of the reasons why at the park
The transportation company insists on checking your luggage before
you board So we took our luggage down to the customs office here
And then they were searched thoroughly
You open the luggage for them
They searched everything So there'
s no way you can enter this country
Enter Ghana with any contraband
Or anything you are not supposed to do
So be aware of that
Be careful about that
And then were done We started waiting for our driver
It was around 6am
We have been here since the Alakondi border
To the Aflao
border It took less than 3 hours
Then we stopped on the way
We have been here for over
an hour now We finished
with immigration And customs
And now we are waiting for our driver to do whatever he is doing
Because this guy with us at the park is really cool
And he vanished
So it's about 6 a m now
And we have been on this journey
We have been on this journey
for about 9 hours
We are nowhere close to our car yet It is a lot of things
It has been really tiring But
it is the next morning
I guess I'll see you all when our driver finally shows up
12 hours
It is not yet 12 hours
I think it is about 10 hours
Imagine being on the road for 10
hours I don't think it's worth it
It's not worth it
It's better to have more fun
12 hours
10 hours
And we're basically still in Aflao
So we will still have a couple of hours
Hopefully the roads will be free this morning
Welcome to Ghana
I am sitting in your
bed I am a homeless child
We will refine our estimate
I promise we'll make a good guess
Oh my goodness I think
I am ready to go home
I might still not be able to sleep
Maybe I'll just go back home
So food for the ass
Unless food for the donkey
The baby girl is back
I am here
The baby girl is here
Without doing this it will be like a
journey A journey is not really long at all
It takes less than four hours from border to border
But the number of hours it will keep you
It is a difficult one
So it's getting to election time in Ghana so there are a lot of political rallies we go to Ghana on Saturday
Morning yeah so there are a lot of rallies along the way the live band party and just you know
Campaigning for different candidates was basically fun but it was a sight for sore eyes
We've been traveling for quite a while now so it was a good break to see this
When you could you were always overthinking every little step you would take
As we grew older you couldn't stop tying yourself into way too many knots just relax
So we're in the voter region of Ghana which is basically one of my favorite regions
If you've been on my channel for a while you already know that I love voter and I love the
The countryside is so beautiful and getting to see it again is totally refreshing I'm really enjoying it
It's been so stressful but this is a sight for sore eyes basically I jus
Love driving to the Ghana countryside feeling the calmness and getting to see different lives
e way of life in the villages how they run the smaller towns and cities there's a lot of things
I think along the way here there are lots of resorts when you get to Segakope yeah I think
We're going to pass through Segakope soon Yeah I'll see you guys in a bit I hope you're
Enjoying this vlog If you're here you're still watching — you haven't subscribed yet
Don't forget to subscribe like and comment I'll see you guys in a minute
So after the border that's on the way from Aflalo to Akordeon there's a lot of security
Posts along the way there's police army immigration customs like a lot of them
Security talk so your documents will go through they will have to go through a lot of documents
You go through your belongings many times to make sure no contraband is getting
e country and to make sure your documents and papers are all in order and intac
It's really grueling but very thorough a lot of things but I think that's how borders work
Usually are but at times I think the last major stop we made was at Segakope that's like the final
The immigration check so imagine from Aflalo to Segakope there's the immigration yeah anyway
After that we're going to join the accordion so this is me just enjoying the countryside I really
Enjoy it as always don't forget to like comment and subscribe See you guys in Acro
The fire and go follow the sun let the breeze come and drift away Can you feel the fire as you
I was just sad and feeling really sleepy but basically you know driving in the
The countryside brightened my mood but then I was getting peace taking because we had to make
Our driver was so irresponsible he was also a very good driver
He had this habit of stopping and leaving us stranded with nothing to do
He wanted to do so there was a gunny and I was sitting with him in the front vehicle basically the whole time
The bus was half canvas and half people so were like half and half but the one that was
Sitting in the front of the vehicle was like a Rasta you've seen in a video before
So yeah he was dropping off somewhere along the road that's from the hotel and he wanted to host
our driver then parked the vehicle and left with this guy to go and
Host him because the guy said he wanted to host him and then we just sat in the vehicle
So we started screaming "Where's the driver " so I had to go and look for him because it's really
Like they just became friends on the way and then this guy says "Oh before you drop me "
Call let me give you one Also I'm like okay so because we're coming down we're trying to get our
A driver who was already drunk so they are there because they obviously will entertain him w
food and drink before we start the trip again as you can just imagine that's why this trip
It's getting so long that it took him about four hours toDirectoryName from the Aflawe border to Accra
Yeah that's how long the journey was but the road was good Some parts of the road weren't too
Good but it was just for a short distance because we passed through I don't know where that was
We don't know the names of the towns but we passed through various towns villages and cities
Anyway a lot of places took us about four hours it was really nice in this countryside again
Spending a while I really totally enjoyed it like I'm so tired so in all the whole journey took aboutڡ
Twelve hours and the reason our driver was basically stopping and wasting time along the road I think
He needs to renew his papers again I think When you're driving you get to a point where you have to
Renew your documents so were quite unlucky to be a vehicle when it was his time
Like do his renewals so he will stop us at each border and then go get the proper documentatio
That's why the journey took as long as it did but then it only took us about four 12-hour days
To get from Nigeria that's from the Nigerian Myto station where we passed the Shizuko station
o Accra town and the whole journey took us about nine hours but we got to the town
Accra around 9 am yeah so that's it um that's the whole RTBU if you're here
and I really hope this has been exciting and enlightening Just so you know everything
As part of the journey and how tiring حتى can be and how fun it can be
I'm going to try to film like it did one because I'm traveling again that's why I want to use this
Watch the video again and then you'll see the midday trip This is a nice version so yeah thank you
Guys thank you for watching I'll see you in the next one have a lot of fun
For you guys so don't go anywhere subscribe like comment I'll see you guys maybe bye
