A Day In My Life In Ghana | Safari Valley Resort | Vacation In Ghana

Hello guys, we are here at Safari Valley. Hello guys, you are listening to the voice of Clara, Rush's wife. Today I'll be taking over the vlog because my man needs a little help in that department. Look at these views though. The journey to Safari Valley is just so beautiful. We checked in for our 12.30 reservation. They welcomed us with fresh juice using fruits from their very own farm. It was really good. This is a reception area. Once we got all checked in, we hopped in the back of Henry's car, our tour guide for today, and he took us around and showed us the resort. The resort is huge. They have over 500 acres of land. This is the beautiful bamboo tree that we drove past. They also have an obstacle course, which I would have loved to indulge in. However, I did not come prepared. Maybe next time. Here are the horseys for the horseback riding. As you can see, they're still building because they just have so much land. Henry was really insistent on showing us the rooms in case we decided to spend a night. We checked out one of their cabins. This is the one bedroom. It's really beautiful inside. I wouldn't mind a little staycation here, a little getaway. For today, we did the daily package, which is $650, roughly $54 now because I don't know when you're going to be watching this and how much you'll be by then. But yes, around $54 and it's definitely worth it. It comes with a lot of things. You get a tour of the resort, which includes a safari, so you get to see animals as well and learn about the different trees and herbs that they grow and its functions. You get a three course meal and that could be breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It comes with swimming, which is nice because you usually have to pay extra for that. Of course, the obstacle course, hiking, bicycle rides, horseback riding, badminton. They have football. They got a gym. It's just they have a lot of things that you can do. If you're staying as a guest there, you get extra perks. For example, you can go on this canoe ride on this man-made lake that they have. They can also bring your mail to your canoe so you can have a little dinner on a which is really cute. This is not sponsored by the way. We just wanted to take my friend out. She's visiting us for a few days. We wanted to go to a resort where we can have fun and enjoy some activities and Safari Valley happened to pop up on my newsfeed. I was like, yeah, this is it. I just love the fact that there's so much to learn and do here. You can never get bored. Here are some of the animals that we saw during the tour. They did not come too close and the ones that did come close were harmless. So this chicken right here is actually my favorite. It's a Polish chicken and I just find it so cute. They actually can't see, but they will come close to you if they hear you. But once you make a little move, they're running away and it's like you keep coming close, but then you're running away. Like, are we friends or not? Rush was really fascinated with this specific one. So he wanted to go say hi to it. Let's see how that goes. Oh, nope. We're not friends. What you wanted to do, come hop in your hands. After the tour, Henry took us back to the recreational center where they have all the games and pool and Rush immediately started playing with one of the staff there. You a little rusty? I'm a little rusty. You're punishing me. Rush and I usually play badminton at home. It's like one of our favorite things to do and he never lets me win. So I knew he was not going to let him off easily. I'm watching your movement. Okay, relax. They also have these electric scooters. I think that's what it's called, but I never knew how fun these were. Like, look at Rush having the time of his life. Next, we did a little horseback riding and we got to see these cute little ponies. I got to pet one actually, so that was really nice. But by this time we were starving. We were more than ready for that three-course meal. Henry picked us up and took us to the restaurant on the resort and here they have their garden where they grow tomatoes, spinach, peppers, and right next to it is the bowling alley. Hello, Madam Clara. How are you? The service at the restaurant was amazing. They brought us fresh bread to start off and then some light soup with goat meat. For dinner, we got to choose between potatoes, white rice, or jollof rice and a choice of meat. This is their recreation center where they have the gym. They have games like Aurea and I played with Rush and of course, he beat me. In my defense, I just relearned how to play it but I digress. Our last stop was the pool. Yeah, I was not expecting that splash but I don't know how to swim so I just chill in my floatie and watch Rush swim. That's good enough for me for now. My friend and I thought it would be a great idea to play badminton in a pool but we quickly learned that it was not. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and we would definitely be back maybe even to spend the night. The staff was great. 10 out of 10. They had amazing customer service. They were so patient.
