The Unequal Marriage is a painting that is guaranteed to catch your curiosity. You are immediately drawn to the plight of the damsel at the center of it all, she is like a lamb surrounded by wolves and the alpha of this pack of predators is apparently the old man standing aloof beside her. This would have been the perfect moment her knight in shining armor breaks in, fights the old dragon in suit and rides off with her to “happily ever after”.
