I am a gamer and I'm only gonna game again, Lord forgive me.
Yo, what's going on everybody? It's a sunny day out in Alhambra.
Right now I'm on my way to the CVS with ASOS here.
Alright, and we are gonna pick up some gamer snacks.
Now the reason why we are gonna get some snacks for our gamer friends
is because I'm actually filming a video with them
where I'm going to a house full of three professional gamers.
So, I'm gonna bring them a gift, get them some snacks,
you know, some typical gamer snacks,
which, you know, I used to game back in the day a little bit,
but I haven't done it in several years.
So, it'll be fun. Let's see what snacks I get them.
Hey, I got some pro gamers here, shout them out real quick.
Killer Kai.
Yo, how we doing?
Dude, Josh was good.
Nerd Josh, we got Tasty Steve.
Tasty Steve in the building, you already know who it is.
Alright, real quick.
That's the one thing I don't like about him though.
Have you ever actually been mistaken for Kendrick Lamar?
Yo, real talk.
So, I went to see Lost in Translation at this theater like three weeks ago.
I actually was standing in line and a guy ran up to me.
Yo, Kendrick!
Oh, I swear to God, I'll **** you with Kendrick Lamar.
I was like, come on.
Was it a fellow brother?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
But that happens no matter what.
I am a gamer and I'm only gonna game again.
Lord, forgive me.
Oh, Kyle versus Rasheed.
Uh-oh.
Uh-oh, no, no, no.
Uh-oh, this looks like some political war.
Asylum to asylum.
It's our time.
Yeah.
Fight.
Round two.
Fight.
You gotta chew your food.
Yeah.
Alright, guys.
This is the Reuben sandwich.
This is my most favorite sandwich in the world, probably.
This style of sandwich, though.
I'm here at Limerick's Cafe.
Yo, that smells so good.
What do you got, Jesse?
I got the cab sliders.
Okay.
But they're pretty plain because I told them no tomatoes.
And this guy said no tomatoes.
No tomatoes, no mayo or pickles.
Really?
So I just kept it really plain.
So you just have meat and cheese and sliders.
Meat and cheese and a sheet of lettuce on the outside.
Dang.
Wow.
That was good.
What's going on, everybody?
I'm here with Justin.
Justin is helping me get to where I need to go this morning.
Thank you very much.
Justin, where are you from, man?
I'm from California.
You hear the new Kendrick album?
Yeah, man.
He put his heart into it.
Yo, guys.
About to get a root canal.
If you guys don't know what that is,
it's when they drill into your tooth and remove the nerve,
and then they replace it back with stuff,
essentially killing the nerve inside,
but you still have the tooth.
So it's essentially when you have a lot of pain in your tooth
and there's nothing else you can do other than do a root canal.
Hat's coming off.
Andrea is helping me out.
Going to get me prepped for the root canal.
This is not my first root canal.
Oh, it's not?
Yeah, I'm sad that I have to get so many.
Yeah, it sucks.
It's okay.
You look like a laser gun.
Is that the handheld x-ray?
Yep.
All right, what's going on, everybody?
I just got out from the procedure over at the endodontist.
Endodontists are specialists in root canals.
Not just regular dentists, but endodontists.
She did a great job, but actually my situation is quite complicated.
As you can see, half of my face is numb right now.
My situation is complicated because I have extra groovy nerves,
so they're hard.
So one of my other root canals, which was done successfully,
it was leaking, some sort of thing,
so pretty much I had to come back again in a couple of days.
Yeah, I can't eat or drink for the next 20 minutes,
but that's all good, and I'm just trying to smile.
We're here at El Ranchero.
Yeah, we just got done filming with Bone Collector.
Yeah, we didn't get any footage of that on the vlog,
but you're going to see it in a video very soon,
so check out that video on our channel.
It was fun to shoot, man.
Yeah, Bone Collector is a really good guy.
He was very instructional, showed us some good moves.
We got to try the moves on some people.
He randomly made some kids fall at the court.
It's crazy.
All his videos are real.
He's actually making those people fall.
It's not fake.
Going in with the shrimp.
I'm going to try the shrimp.
Oh, monster.
Alex, what are you going to try?
ASOS?
ACZ?
I'm going to have to go for taquitos.
Alex goes for...
Oh, hold up.
I'm going to have to break that up.
That was a fail.
Take a bite.
Just do it.
Take a fat bite.
That's crazy.
Which one is this, man?
I'm about to try this fish taco right here.
Fish tacos were 99 cents, bro.
Wow.
So soak out there.
Yo, man.
What are those, bro?
What are those crazy sock darts?
I know, man.
They look like some futuristic shrouded mesh.
That's pretty much what they are.
They are the Kobe ADX NXT HMDs.
Now, pretty much what that is,
it's kind of like the Kobe 11s
mixed in with some of the cushioning of the Kobe ADs
all in flyknit with a mesh on top.
Look at this.
Man, watch.
Bam!
I got a lot of kids on Instagram
that hit me back after they saw my story about these
and they were like, ooh, these were lit.
Yo, I noticed the internet always likes weird shoes.
If you review the shoes with the new technology
or the weird shrouds,
that's actually what they like.
Here's the thing, guys.
I would do more sneaker reviews for you guys,
but the thing is a lot of weird shoes
is built for skinny McGee's, okay?
They don't build really crazy shoes
for non-skinny McGee's.
Nell, what you hooping in today?
Best shoe on the market right now, to me,
to the skinny people, Nike PG1.
Man, they right here, you know.
The shinin'.
The PG1.
You know one thing that always bugged me out about L.A.
is nobody uses their turn signals, bro.
Nobody in L.A. uses their turn signals.
This is something so you cannot predict
which way people are going to go.
The reason I'm complaining about the lack of turn signals
is because we be jaywalking.
Let's go, let's go, let's just go.
See, you got to just use your hands
because I was looking at another 30 seconds.
I couldn't do it, bro.
Hey, do you have next?
Can I roll with you?
I have three.
You have three, and I got one guy out there, all right?
Okay, cool, for sure.
Yo, Andrew, man.
This is the impromptu performance review, man.
Okay, all right.
Kobe AD NXT performance review.
Let's go.
These Kobe AD NXTs, okay, I'll say this.
They come loose a lot.
There's no laces in the shoe, right?
So I tie them up top.
You might have to double tie them up top,
or I've seen a lot of different ways
people tuck them underneath here
and wrap them up in here and stuff like that.
However it works, I would say the lockdown is decent.
It feels pretty comfortable overall.
Only thing is sometimes the insole
has this little foam wing
that is supposed to cover up the empty spaces in the shoe.
It's kind of jutting into my small toe on this one.
But I would say otherwise it feels like the Kobe 11s,
which are pretty good.
The cushioning up front is thin and squishy.
I would overall give them like an 8.
Maybe the traction's a little bit between
the Kobe ADs and the Kobe 11s.
Okay, okay.
Kobe 11 traction pattern?
Yeah.
I would just say they're pretty good shoes overall,
and they look dope.
Yo, all right, so check out the menu right now.
Fish that's both fried and grilled.
Okay, they also have shrimp that's grilled or fried,
so we're definitely going to get a lot of those.
And then they also have tostadas.
Nelson, you're in L.A.
I know you know about the carne asada tacos,
but I heard that the fish taco
is actually more of a San Diego thing.
Yeah, that is true.
I don't normally eat a lot of fish tacos.
I'm more of a shrimp taco fan,
but I'm very excited to try out
these new Baja tacos today.
Yo.
We'll have a seven-seas.
Oh, shoot.
Seven-seas, man.
Fish, shrimp, crab, octopus,
abalone, scallop, clam.
So this is how my Asian mom would read it.
Hold up.
Abalone?
Hey, what's up?
What's up, guys?
It's Jen.
We got Jen Chen.
You got to describe your channel,
because I don't know.
All right.
We do a lot of, like,
artsy crap on my channel, basically.
We do, like, a lot of photography.
Artsy crap?
This is no time to be humble.
You need to self-promote yourself.
No one's going to go to your channel now.
All right, you got to do it again.
All right.
So we do a lot of artsy stuff on my channel.
It's, like, things like photography,
videography, spoken word.
Yeah, that's basically what we like to do.
So if you're interested,
you know, check us out.
Yo, that's a pretty interesting channel.
Photography, spoken word.
All right, guys.
I went extra with my haircut today.
And I got the stars.
And more.
Yo.
Shout out to LC at Faded Society.
He killed it with this one.
I'm not going to lie.
I didn't know he was going to do all that.
But I guess I'm glad he did it.
You know, stand out.
Be a little crazy.
It's just hair.
It's going to grow back.
Bam!
Yo, we're in Little Tokyo.
This is part of the
LA Asian American Pacific Film Festival.
We are going to watch
the HBO Visionaries winners.
So HBO, what they did,
is that they helped fund some short films.
And then these are the winners.
And we're about to watch them.
And I think these are
a lot of talented young filmmakers.
And I'm excited.
Yo, all right.
Here I'm at the
LA Asian American Pacific Film Festival.
I am hoping to meet the three directors
and the three creators and the filmmakers
who are the winners
of the HBO Visionaries contest.
And I think it's really important
because a lot of people out there
have a lot of good ideas.
But really the person who wins
is the person who gets it executed.
The person who makes it.
Definitely that's just like a message
to a lot of people.
I think a lot of kids out there,
they have great feedback
and they can analyze things pretty well.
But I think the biggest thing
that is going to separate
a lot of people nowadays,
and this has kind of always been this way,
is the people who are able
to actually get it done.
From the HBO Visionaries competition
and the three winners,
the movies were so good.
My favorite was Monday.
I thought it was kind of like
an Asian version of Dope.
I thought it was really cool.
It involved a diverse cast.
It was really funny.
It was relatable.
But the other two were great.
I want to encourage everybody out there
to become creators.
I think that's what we try to do.
And if you guys even have an idea for us,
whether it's a short film or something,
let us know.
That's all I mean to say.
Try to encourage creators.
It's stupid.
Because there's not enough of us.
