Chelsea have lost both games since asking Frank Lampard to return in an interim capacity.
Kepara Rita Balaga remains first choice in goal,
even though Edouard Mendy is available again after injury.
A hamstring injury for Kalidou Koulibaly in Wednesday's defeat at Real Madrid
means a back four showing three changes from the Wandel defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers,
only Wesley Fofana keeping his place.
With the second leg against the Champions League holders here on Tuesday,
Lampard has rested Mateo Kovacic and drafted in Denis Zakaria.
For his first starts, he's defeated Fulham on January the 12th.
Kaj Havertz is nursing a slight injury,
so along with N'Golo Kante and Thiago Silva is not involved.
Christian Pulisic and Miquelo Mudre now have the chance to impress.
Six changes in all from the fixture at Molyneux.
Brighton have Roberto Deserbi in the technical area,
despite a red card during the 2-1 defeat at Spurs.
The dismissal deemed sufficient punishment.
Robert Sanchez is back in goal with Jason Steele feeling a slight injury.
Sanchez likely to feature in the FA Cup semi-final next weekend against Manchester United.
Adam Webster is back with N'Golo Koulibaly unable to feature against his pairing club.
Christian Grosso and Moises Caicedo anchor the midfield,
but Brighton's flexibility means those two can push forward to support Soli March,
Kairo Matouma and Alexis McAllister,
directly up against Enzo Fernandes, his Argentine international team-mate.
Evan Ferguson, the 18-year-old Republic of Ireland international striker,
is preferred up front to Danny Welbeck,
who scored a stoppage-time equaliser here last season.
Brighton, as you'd expect, with March and Matouma really stretching the pitch as wide as possible.
More changes for the Chelsea team,
a different front three that I fully expect to rotate during the game,
but Trevor Chalabert in at right back has a massive job today,
trying to keep Matouma, one of the best dribblers in the league, quiet.
Brighton in their change-strip, Crimson.
Chelsea's decision to bring back Frank Lampard
might help to improve the mood around Stamford Bridge.
It hasn't been a great season,
and given the need to make the right appointment next time,
the owners have probably been wise not to rush into making a decision.
Good anticipation by Mudrik.
Hacked over the top of the crossbar by Louis Stunt.
Stirling was threatening.
Yeah, this is good pressure from Chelsea, set up to win that ball.
Mudrik gets his head up, and there's a little touch from Webster there.
I think it just made it harder for Louis Stunt to react
and just get height on the clearance away from the goal
and have a go at his teammates afterwards, which I think he did.
In by Chilwell.
Punched away by Sanchez in a fashion.
Mudrik.
Score for goal.
An early test for Robert Sanchez.
It does quite well here. Sanchez comes into the bodies.
A lot of people there. Gets a decent punch from outside the box.
I like the mindset of Mudrik here.
He could play that wide, but he thinks,
no, there's space inside, I'm going to show a bit of confidence.
Matoma.
Again, McAllister well forward.
Ferguson through the middle.
Brilliant run by Matoma.
Another chance for McAllister.
Another big chance for Brighton.
The look on McAllister's face tells you a story.
He knows he's better than this.
Matoma just slows it up lovely there,
and then that little burst of acceleration, the cutback,
awareness to see McAllister is there.
And I think he just needs to hit the target.
He tries to really pinpoint that far post
and just sit it inside there.
It's always quite difficult when the ball's rolling across your body.
Ferguson now.
Off the top of the crossbar.
Almost fell for Matoma when he came back.
Chelsea on their heels.
The right point is, to be honest,
I think it's certainly to the end of the season,
and then there's a lot to do, isn't there?
Players in, players out.
Mudrik.
One of the big January signings.
Galahad.
Chelsea make the breakthrough.
The driving run of Michaelu Mudrik
setting up the chance for Connor Galahad.
And a deflection on Luis Dunn,
taking it beyond the reach of Robert Sanchez.
Advantage to the Blues in West London.
Well, it must be incredibly frustrating for Brighton,
and Roberto Deserbi to see his team go behind.
I mean, they've been so dominant in this game.
It's a good driving run from Mudrik.
Early shot from Gallagher,
which, you know, I have to credit that.
It's positive.
Chelsea haven't been that in front of the goal
in recent games.
But the deflection's so cruel.
Whether or not Robert Sanchez is in a position
where he can just adjust his feet a little bit quicker
and shuffle himself across the goal earlier,
he just doesn't manage to get there.
It's painful how the ball just bounces over the net,
but possibly Sanchez reacting just a little bit quicker
is the only way he can stop that going in.
Matoma continuing his battle with Chalaba.
Solih March.
Surgical from Brighton here.
Wide to Matoma.
Continued run.
Lovely weight of pass from him.
Solih March inside,
and you can totally understand why he hits this one
with his left foot inside.
High on confidence.
Matoma.
It's gone beyond for Farnex.
Brilliant from Matoma.
It's an excellent stop by Kepa Renretha Balaga
to keep him out.
But what a run by Matoma.
Another big chance for Brighton.
I don't know about you, Tony,
but he sent me for a cup of tea here as well.
What a run.
Brilliant piece of play.
Drops a shoulder inside Fernandes.
Sends for Farner.
Drops one on Badia Shaili.
And that's a decent hand from Kepa.
The only thing lacking from Matoma
was real precision on that finish
and power maybe.
It's Ferguson!
It's a magnificent save by Kepa Aretha Balaga.
Again, he has come to Chelsea's rescue
and at some cost
for attacker and goalkeeper.
Well, it's just total applause all round here.
That little drop of the shoulder there
to let the ball roll.
The lay-off, the cross into the box,
the desire to get in there and win the ball.
What a save.
Close range from Kepa as well.
Super piece of football from both sides.
And I think Ferguson's really hurt himself here.
Looks like he just catches his arm
as he heads that there.
I'm not sure if it's when he lands.
Now Brighton can make that change
with Ferguson going off two first-half substitutions
because of injury now.
First Veltman and now Ferguson.
McAllister.
Helped on again towards Gross.
It's a teasing cross.
And it's an equalising goal.
Danny Welbeck just off the bench
and doing at Stamford Bridge this season
what he did last season.
He's got Brighton's equaliser.
All to say,
Brighton deserve to be back in this game
is an understatement.
They've been totally dominant throughout.
It's a poor clearance from Badia Shelley
with his left foot.
Needs to do better with that
but the moment this ball goes wide
onto the left foot from Gross.
And this Danny Welbeck just backpedalling
into that back post area.
I think Fafana just gets in the way
a little bit of Chalabert.
Doesn't really compete for it Chalabert properly
because Fafana's dropping back into that position.
They're almost getting each other's way
and it's just a tiny little touch
from Welbeck off the post and in.
Really good glancing header.
Super delivery with his left foot as well
from Pascal Gross.
Perfect amount of contact.
Mitomer on his way again.
Caicedo.
Gross.
Solimarch to provide the width.
And now to deliver the cross.
Kepa scrambling across goal.
Good work by Chalabert.
That's been deflected wide
and out for a corner.
Another good hit by McAllister.
The dominance just continues in this game
in this first half.
Solimarch can go either way.
Drops the shimmy.
Dinks it to the back post.
And you think Mitomer's going to win that header.
Gets up early.
Onto the edge of the box.
And that's a dangerous deflection
off of Gallagher.
Nearly loops into that far post.
Sloppy by Dunk.
Sterling.
Found by Gallagher.
Gallagher again.
In by Chilwell.
Off the post.
And a flag is raised now for an offside anyway.
The offside against Gallagher
when the ball came back then.
But a wake-up call for Brighton.
Yeah, they just get caught out in possession.
And then they stretch Brighton.
Nice play from Chelsea.
Good run from Gallagher.
First time cross from Chilwell.
And it's a decent header from Pulisic.
Tries to get it inside that near post
which you'd like to think Robert Sanchez
would have had covered.
Mitomer.
Tormented Chalabert throughout the first half.
Welbeck.
Estupina.
It's a great run by Estupina.
And it is.
It's Akariru who got in the way of the shot.
The runs from this area, the pitch from Brighton
are just superb.
Look at that pass from Mitomer.
Great run from Welbeck.
And then Estupina on that inside run again.
He never goes on the outside.
Looking to hurt Chelsea into the box.
And Zakaria has to get out and block that ball there.
Some believable commitment he's had
in the middle of the park today.
Matisko.
He's run Chalabert.
And he's hit the inside of the post.
Oh, and blasted over by Welbeck.
How many more chances have Brighton and Hoval
been going to get in this game?
Nobody can quite believe it.
They've been so dominant.
Oh, it's just incredible.
It starts with that win from Casedo there.
The desire he has to win that ball in midfield
makes the difference.
And Rhys James and Chalabert make a real mess of this.
And Sisso with the shot against the post.
And it is a tricky one for Welbeck, in fairness.
Just look at the speed with which that ball
cannons back off the post onto his left foot.
He just doesn't have time to adjust.
Can't hit the target.
But another chance for Brighton goes begging.
Mitomer.
Matisko.
Mitomer again.
Straight into Aretha Balaga's arms.
Goes down.
There's another save.
And another effort on goal.
So much has come from this left-hand side.
Whether or not Sisso can lend that ball inside to McAllister
he's probably in a really good position
to get a shot off but...
Ziyech.
Rhys James again.
Kept out by Sanchez not once but twice.
Kept out.
Mudrik second time around.
Ziyech with the cross.
Trill was had away.
Well played.
Double save by Robert Sanchez
to keep Chelsea at bay.
Just a little reminder
that Chelsea are still in this game.
Have a little look down at my notes
to remember who come on from Chelsea
because they've barely touched the ball
for the last five minutes
and all of a sudden
they spring into action.
Nobody across the face of that near post though
where Robert Sanchez makes that save.
Just great reaction from Brighton
to win that ball back.
They lose it and all of a sudden
there's Brighton shirts everywhere.
And Sisso.
Oh it's magnificent.
First Premier League goal.
What a goal
from Julio Antetokounmpo.
Sensational.
Top corner.
Top draw.
And Brighton in front.
Shoulder high
and no wonder
he's enjoying every second.
It was a goal for everybody to enjoy.
Stunning.
Simply stunning.
Well I'm just going through
all of those chances
that Brighton have had in my mind.
And it takes something like this
to score this second goal.
They've been knocking on the door
all second half Brighton.
Solih March steals the ball back.
The space is there and he thinks
okay I'm just going to hit one.
And boy does he hit one.
What a strike.
Out of his feet.
Not on the pitch that long
but what a strike.
Bang.
Absolute perfection.
I mean you're not going to hit one
much cleaner than that.
The strike is flat.
It's decisive.
Kepa at full stretch
but the power
on that hit there.
Absolutely superb.
Long from Kepa Aritha Balaga.
Hopped on by Badia Shiel.
And again he's won the header.
But it's come too late.
Brighton and Hove Albion
celebrate their first
ever league win
at Stamford Bridge.
And they did it in some style.
No wonder Roberto De Zerbi
and his team
celebrate on the touchline.
Julio Enciso
can celebrate
hardly believing perhaps
that he has scored
one of the goals
of the season.
And certainly the goal
of his young career.
Just 19 years of age.
A stunning effort
to ensure that
Albion
emerged with all three points.
They'd gone behind early on
despite their possession.
It was Connor Gallo
with the help of a deflection
off Lewis Dunk
who put Chelsea in front.
But Brighton rallied
even though
Evan Ferguson
was forced off
after he'd
hit the crossbar
and see Kepa Aritha Balaga
make a wonderful save.
But Kepa beaten by
Danny Welbeck for 1-1.
But it's Julio Enciso
is the man
of the match.
The player of the match.
With one of the goals
of the season.
A real stunner.
And at Stamford Bridge
it is finished.
Chelsea 1
Brighton and Hove Albion 2.
