Here's Ben Chilwell, chance to get in behind of Solly March here.
Chance for Chelsea.
Chilwell's ball across is being kept alive by Sterling.
Breaks back towards Gatheger, chance to shoot here.
And it was placed wide by Ian Mattson,
who scored a couple of goals against Wrexham a few days ago.
Mattson got a couple of goals, as you say, against Wrexham,
was on loan with Burnley for last season,
and you can see here,
rather rushed with the shot.
It does take a fraction, actually.
Matoma, who's seen plenty of it.
Gusteau diving in.
Well-timed move.
It'll be a Brighton corner.
Marking that contest between Gusteau and Matoma.
Brighton always know Matoma's in the wide position,
so he's an option for any of the players to put the ball out there.
Head short from Gross to March and back to Gilmore.
Coming in here's Matoma,
and it's turned in by Danny Welbeck.
The first goal of the summer series
is a goal for Brighton,
and a goal for Danny Welbeck.
I've got to say, it's a brilliantly worked set-piece routine.
Short ball, played into Gilmore,
headed for Matoma at the back.
Danny Welbeck in the six-yard box,
and Brighton get themselves ahead.
Gross.
Matoma.
Nice pass for March.
Bit of room for him.
There's Welbeck again,
on target.
Kepa this time makes the save.
The ball comes in the box,
and Danny Welbeck's a little unlucky,
doesn't make it 2-0.
There's Chilwell-Mecca for Chelsea.
Now Chilwell.
Chilwell-Mecca.
Nice give and go,
and he goes on, and it's ricocheting around,
and goes in.
It's the equaliser for Chelsea.
Chilwell on this left-hand side,
he's got himself forward whenever the opportunity was there,
and does a good job of working this ball in.
The one-two as the shot comes in for Chukomako.
It's Nkunku who just,
outside of his foot, guides it.
Pass the goalkeeper.
Nice instinctive finish for the striker.
Gross.
A dingra.
Great ball there, Matt.
It's come to Matoma.
Welbeck took it well.
Flying block will be charged down now.
And eventually,
Kepa takes command.
Well, they survived it in the end.
It was a brilliant ball played across.
Danny Welbeck.
A little unfortunate.
There's Undaf.
Now Gross.
He has a dingra to his right.
He looks instead for Chad Pedro.
Good pass.
Chad Pedro.
The angle was very tight.
It was across the face of goal.
They came to win Cissau.
And that's a good run from Pedro.
Just can't
quite find the target in Ncissau.
Just smashes it over the top.
That's what Pedro gives you.
That little bit of pace.
On the shoulders of defenders.
That was a very robust challenge there
from Jean-Paul Van Heckert.
Very robust.
So much so, the referee will come across.
A little fortunate.
He doesn't get a yellow card for that.
Kasade saw him come in
and almost lulled him into the challenge.
While Van Heckert
was on a yellow card
and is going to be sent off.
It is a second booking
for Jean-Paul Van Heckert.
The Dutch defender is dismissed.
I know he's a young defender
and he's on a yellow card
but he doesn't give the referee
too much option there.
It's a really clumsy challenge.
He gets nowhere near the ball.
For Chelsea.
And he enjoyed the moment.
It's a really smart finish
having come in from that left-hand side.
He's not had many
top-class moments for Chelsea.
Modric.
But we know he's a talent.
We know what he can do.
That's an important goal
in what's going to be
an important season
for Modric.
Kasade
to his left side.
Jackson was there.
And so
to score
Chelsea's third goal.
And Chelsea are smiling now.
And it's Kasade
with the ability.
Right foot, left foot.
Tries to get his shot in.
And when the ball finds its way
to Connor Gallagher
he's got a good habit
of being in the right place
at the right time.
And Chelsea have the comfort
of a two-goal lead
as they go 3-1 ahead.
Oh, Jackson's in behind here.
And Jackson!
That's so well!
Here's a pass from Kukere.
You'll see he's level
with the last defender there.
So he's onside.
And that is a really smart finish
for Pastor Brugge.
Big goalkeeper, big frame.
Really good concentration.
Keeps his head down
and lifts it over the goalkeeper.
And all of a sudden
five goals against Wrexham.
Four goals against Brighton.
Pochettino's having an effect.
Here's Jean-Pierre Tourette.
Going sideways and going down.
And penalty for Tourette.
The foul by
Levi Caldwell.
Pedro's pace
has been a real danger
to this Chelsea back line.
And he just gets his toe
to the ball
ahead of the defender.
Caldwell
makes no contact
with the ball.
Goes with his left foot there,
you see.
Takes a forward down.
Pretty easy decision
for the referee to give.
And Jair Pedro
is on the score sheet
for Brighton.
Their new number nine.
It's back to 4-2.
And the goals just keep on coming
here in Philadelphia
tonight.
How's that say?
Jair Pedro.
Oh, lovely skill
from Jair Pedro.
And under!
The game is far from done yet.
Well, they just don't know
when they're beating
this Brighton team.
Again,
good play from
Jair Pedro
who's made a real influence
coming on the pitch.
And Undaf
does well because he takes
his first touch
across the defender
and then hits
the far side
of the goal.
Angelo
breaks the way of Jair Pedro.
Angelo again.
The tackle's still going in.
Right to the full-time whistle.
Well, how fun was that?
A loud cheer
greets that final whistle
because the fans here
have had rich
entertainment
in Philly tonight.
Seven goals
in game one
of the summer series
and all smiles there
the two coaches.
It was riveting stuff
but Chelsea come out winners.
Chelsea
beating Brighton
by four goals to three.
