How To Make A DIY Rustic End Table | Living Room End Table
How to make this DIY Rustic End Table! This episode we borrowed some plans from our friend Brad over at Fix This Build That! We're building an Industrial Side Table to finish our mini Living Room series. This end table has a clear finished top and 2x2's that looks like metal! Watch the video above to see how we made ours and some challenges we encountered along the way!
Materials List:
1 - 2"x6"x8' (we used a 2x12)
3 - 2"x2"x8'
Cut List:
4 - 2x6 at 22"
8 - 2x2 at 19"
4 - 2x2 at 23 1/2"
Step 1
Drill pocket holes for 2-1/2” pocket hole screws
Drill 2 pocket holes on each end of the 19" base rails
Step 2
Attach the 2x6 boards together using glue
and pocket holes screws to form the top.
We used 2 - 2x12 boards for our top panels.
Step 3
Drill countersinks and pilot holes opposite from
pocket holes on the 4 top base rails.
5” from each end.
Step 4
Attach 2 legs to a top and bottom base rails.
Pocket holes should be facing outward.
Make 2 of these side assemblies.
Step 5
Use 2 top base rails and 2 bottom base rails
to connect the side assemblies.
Step 6
Sand and finish the base and top before final assembly.
Step 7
Attach the top to the base
through the 8 holes in the top base rails
