It's awesome having friends all over the world who have friends all over the world, it can lead to stopping over in a place you've never been and being brought in as part of the family, which is what happened to us in Kuala Lumpur. We got the most epic local food tour of this amazing city as well as a guided tour of the area. All of it was just amazing but the apex of this journey was our visit to Batu Caves. Words, video & photos cannot portray the magic of this place, you'll just have to go.

We've been in Kuala Lumpur exactly 10 minutes and can already say terima kasih
which is thank you and then sama sama is you're welcome. Our plane I didn't take any video of
because you usually only see videos of that kind of plane during the crash reconstruction. Our cool
uber driver Mood which is short for Muhammad. Hey although I'll stop that so that he watches
the road. We are staying at the Zen Rooms Hotel. Check out this room. Giant bathroom. Cool view.
20 bucks a night. Score. What an awesome little area in Little India. The Brickyards in KL.
I like it so far. Pattaya fried rice. It's fried rice wrapped in egg.
That is really hot. Oh this is really good. A little spicy? Oh yeah but that is really good
but it is really spicy. MRT in Kuala Lumpur is beautiful and easy to use and it's really cool
because it's driverless so I sat up the front and got that awesome video. This entire city block
is a shopping mall and a nice one. We are in KL with Kay and Zulika who are friends with some of
our friends from Eugene and now we got local tour guides. Hey Cody. We are gonna have fun with these
Pakistani food for our first meal in Lahore. This is specifically Lahore.
That's Isabel. She's like the world champion YouTuber. Hululangat is out in the sticks. We're
out past Hululangat at this beautiful garden resort. Rambutan. Mangosteen. Village Durian.
That's Zul's and Isabel doing the buying. This is durian from out in the villages. It's smaller
and supposed to be a little more intense than the durian we got in Thailand. It has more of a bite.
I want to say I feel like I'm eating an onion. You hold them like this. You pop them like that.
You open up like that. Oh yeah. That mangosteen is awesome. These are rambutan.
These are not rambutan. These are pulaset. Have a try both. These are rambutan.
It's not moist like the other one. Really good. After eating durian you got to eat fruit
and then drink coconut juice to keep the durian from giving you fever. You're a rock star brother.
That traffic coming at us is actually going against the flow of traffic. But as Gabe said
that's Malaysia bro. This is Malaysia.
Whole market. You can eat cat here but we're not gonna.
It's pork. Minced pork. Curry noodles with tofu. Asam noodles. Tamarind noodles with fish.
Gabe just took us to this dodgy little place. This ain't dodgy. I'll show you some dodgy places.
Wow this is amazing. This temple is 150 years old. Just like Ambodir we're just
running in front of the cars and talking. You asked permission here. They say yes.
This morning we're getting breakfast of nasi lemak at Nasi Lemak Royale which means fried
rice and stuff. It's really good. So we said hey Gabe how do we get to Batu Caves? Get in my car
I'll take you. Hey we made it to Batu Caves. There's monkeys everywhere and pigeons and tourists and
the monkeys are probably better behaved than the tourists. That's Murugan the destroyer behind us.
That's all I know about that. Now for the steps. Wow we came here for Lowell McGregor my friend in
Portland who uh said that this was one of the most amazing places he'd ever been. We actually
adjusted our trip just to come here for this. I gotta say thank you Lowell. This is amazing.
I am sure that video does not do justice. I think Gabe said it best when we got up here.
Whoa. What do you think buddy? Low cardio. But yeah whoa man. These caves are spectacular. It
takes your breath away. Well the steps do too but the monkeys are entertaining enough to forget about
the steps. Just really an amazing sight and the scale that I've seen in pictures and videos doesn't
do this statue justice. This statue is vast in size. It's crazy. We are just loving our tour of
Kuala Lumpur. See the Petronas Towers out there behind me. This city's really beautiful. I am
so glad we got to spend some time here. Right there on that bridge they're filming a movie
More awesome street food. Lamb, beef, chicken. This is Char Kuey Chow.
This is just amazing food. Like every place else Gabe has taken us,
we never would have found these places without Gabe. You're not going to google this place and
find it as the place to go to get chicken. Awesome. Luckily you don't have to google it.
There's the address right here. Queen's Hotel and Coffee Shop. This place has been here for almost
200 years serving whoever happened to be in the local area over those 200 years. You can google
that if you want to. And we're going to go back to eating now. Peace. Thumbs up and subscribe.
