This was in the suggestion box, and I don't think I've ever seen this happen in baseball before,
so I figured I'd share it. It's not a long one or that crazy of one, but it's a weird situation.
There's a runner on third, one out. The yellow team is up, and they're batting, and it's five
to two, and they're going to put the suicide squeeze in motion. So the bunt is down. The
runner's coming home. No play. They run into each other. The batter decks the runner, but the runner
that got decked scores. The runner that did the decking doesn't score. He comes up, checking his
nose. Is it bloody? Maybe. I mean, he should feel happy. Scored a run, but the batter ran into his
face, and he just... I don't know if I've seen this before. So he lays down the bunt. Now the pitcher
tries to do the glove flip. Completely misses. Runner slides in. Batter tries to go to first,
and they collide at home plate. Look at this bunt attempt. I mean, I think it's a change-up
or something, or just a two-seamer, but gets all the way down. Talk about suicide squeeze. He really
laid himself on the line. I love how focused the umpire is to see the play at the plate. Like, he is
locked in. Locked in. That's how big my baby's eyes get after a full bottle. Bam, and running,
and elbow to the face, and that sucks. Whatever. There you go. Never seen it before. Now you guys have.
