Tool List:
-- drill / impact driver
-- quick clamps
-- circular saw
-- utility knife
Material List:
-- construction adhesive
-- 1-5/8" screws
-- 5/4 treated deck board (approx. 2')
Steps:
1. Clamp the broken rail back into place.
2. Pull measurements for a "scab" repair piece.
3. Cut repair piece
4. Spread adhesive evenly on repair piece.
5. Attach repair piece with clamps, screws, and drill / impact driver.
6. Let adhesive set.
Tips: Use a fast-setting adhesive (Loctite 3X). But, give the repair a good 24 hours before you put weight on it.
