Tim and Felicity - The new owner of Château de Purnon revealed the renovation of the bedroom and bathroom in this video. They worked hard to ensure that the chateau's interiors were restored in a way that was true to the chateau's 18th-century origins without causing harm to any existing 18th-century elements. For example, they determined the room's original paint colors by peeling back layers of more recent paint to see if the original paint colors and wallpaper panels could be found. As a result, it could be restored and reused. The bedroom and bathroom were finished in more than five months, which was longer than expected. They replaced the walls and floors because the rooms were in such bad shape. Paint, wallpaper, and electricity were replaced.

Château de Purnon is an extraordinary Louis XVI château, classée Monument Historique in Vienne, France. Purnon is a vast estate near Verrue, a village of 400 residents.

Purdon was constructed between 1772 and 1791 for Antoine-Charles Achard, Marquis de la Haye (1737-1816). The château was built in a classic French style and flanked by two enormous outbuildings made in tufa stone and ochre plaster with remarkable charpente in Philibert de l'Orme. After more than a century of neglect, many parts of this building were in danger.

The château needed a massive restoration project to protect it for future generations. In 1893, the château was purchased by the Marquis de Rochequairie, whose family sold it to current owners in 2020 - Tim Holding and his fiancée, Felicity Selkirk. Tim, his fiancée, and their volunteer team work tirelessly to save the Château. The restoration process was filmed in the episodes Château de Purnon.
