Our time in the islands is done so after a brief stopover in Manila it's time for a whirlwind farewell tour though some of our favorite spots in Asia. While Manila is not anyplace we need to go back to, the Lub D Hostel Makati was great and near the airport. We definitely recommend the Lub D Hostel Makati as a base to head out to explore the Philippines. We spend a night or two in Bangkok and make sure to avail ourselves of the amazing streetfood that Bangkok is famous and beloved for. We got a great deal on a Cathay Pacific flight to Singapore and saw why Cathay Pacific is always rated as one of the best airlines in the world. Super comfortable, great food, and amazing service all the way to Singapore on an awesome new Airbus A350 (might be our favorite plane ever). Once we get to back to Singapore (Kate's favorite) we head to our favorite outdoors store in Singapore, Campers Corner, to try and find Chris some new shoes....ah the struggles of full time travel ;-) This trip to Singapore we stay in the Geylang area for the first time and waste no time hitting up the street food vendors. Love it! We enjoy one last visit to Changi Airport, hands down the best airport in the world, then fly to Bali. We spend some time in lovely Sanur Bali enjoying the food, the beach and the people. You know we can't pass up trying local versions of Mexican food so we find a new place in Sanur Bali, La Cocina Sanur, for Nachos and Tacos! Delicious! But don't worry, we ate most of our meals at our favorite Padang in Sanur, Jawa House. Tons of amazing food very for a very low price. After eating, shopping and sleeping for a week in Sanur, we grab a ridiculously small ferry to the tiny island of Nusa Lembongan where our adventures will resume next week. See you then!
