AI GeneratedBased on a year of living in Bali, the creators share a comprehensive list of 50 recommended activities. The guide covers a diverse range of experiences, from culinary delights and relaxing spa treatments to high-adrenaline adventures and cultural immersions, ensuring visitors can make the most of their stay regardless of the duration.
After living in Bali for over a year we've compiled a list of 50 things to do
to have the best time in Bali. Whether you're going for one week or one year
try to do as many of these things as possible. Some are well-known activities
and some are hidden gems. In no particular order, let's get started.
Number one, get yourself a smoothie bowl, specifically a dragon fruit one. I don't
know where you're from but dragon fruit was a very foreign fruit to us and now
we're obsessed with it. It's super juicy and super healthy. Number two, eat like a
local and have a meal at a warung. A warung is a small family-owned eatery.
Some iconic dishes include nasi goreng, mee goreng, curry ayam, beef rendang or
nasi campur which is a whole bunch of stuff on a plate with rice. Number three,
try matabak. This calorie-full dessert is Indonesia's pride and joy and
rightly so. It's freaking delicious. Just order matabak manis on Gojek or Grab
and have it delivered to your house. Number four, head to a beach club or three.
Some of our favorites include Palmila Bali, Sevaiya, Finns, Lebriza and
Singelfin. Number five, book a Balinese cooking class. We had the best class ever
with Pemilan Cooking School in Ubud. All the links to these places will be in a
blog post in the description of this video. Number six, have a local bintang
beer or coconut on the beach any time of the day really. There's even a bintang
radler which is like a cider more than a beer. It's delicious. Number seven, do a
minimart run for indomie noodles, asti manis and always stay hydrated with
these awesome isotonic and vitamin drinks and tolokangen packs for an
immune system booster. Minimarts are all over. Some include Alphamart, Circle K and
Endermart. Number eight, have a beautiful Bali breakfast at any cafe. The island
is known for its breakfast and cafe scene and you'll find all sorts. Omelettes,
eggs benedict, smoothie bowls, avocado toast, a fry, pancakes etc. Our favorites
are Nook, Dua Umelas, Milo by Nook and Inca by Nook. Basically we love Nook.
Number nine, this is one of the most fun activities we ever did in Bali and that
is waterbomb waterpark. The staff are amazing, the rides are so sick and it's
just the best day ever. They even have this slide. Number ten, this is a form of
waterpark but Mother Nature's version and that is a natural water slide run by
the locals in a village called Lemuki. It was totally worth the drive up there.
Number eleven, sign up for a mandatory beginner surf lesson in Seminyak or in
Canggu. Go ride the waves bro. Number twelve, this is what we call the
rollercoaster down to Kama Beach. Kama Beach is a beach club restaurant at the
base of a huge cliff but the way you get down is just so unique and the views are
stunning. Number thirteen, treat yourself and get a $10 massage or treat yourself
extra to a world-class spa. Either way, self-love is the best love and there's
no better spas than the ones we've found in Bali. Sundari and Jammu spa are our
favourites or just find any cheap spa on the side of the road. Number fourteen, you
cannot come to Bali and not do a waterfall mission. Check out this video
for our faves. Number fifteen, Bali is a volcanic island in Indonesia. Why not
climb up a volcano like we did? Mount Batur sunrise hike was just so epic and
so much fun with friends. Number sixteen, another extreme adventure offered is
river rafting with Bintang water rafting. So much fun and of course they're not
called Bintang for no reason. You stop for some Bintang beers in the gorge
halfway down the river. It's perfect. Number seventeen, a yoga class. Bali and
specifically Ubud is known for being a yoga and meditation retreat haven. You
may as well give it a go too. They're offered almost everywhere. Just type in
something on Google and I'm sure you'll find one close to you. Number eighteen,
follow on the yoga with a yummy vegan breakfast at any forest cafe in Ubud.
Listen to the insects and the birds and just relax. Number nineteen, sacred monkey
forest. There's just so much to do in Ubud itself. It's ridiculous. Sacred
monkey forest is one of them. Good luck with these naughties. Number twenty, beach
sunset with dogs. One of our favorite things to do when we lived in Canggu was
to go down to the beach at sunset time to witness doggy play date time. Your
heart will burst with happiness. Number twenty-one, beach walk 21 cinema. If you
happen to have any bad weather days, there's still a ton you can do. One of
which is to visit Beachwalk Mall in Kuta to watch a movie with reclining
leather chairs, a hot dog and a drink. This mall is truly stunning too. Number
twenty-two, another bad weather activity option that I absolutely loved was a
pottery class with my friends at ceramic class. It's so much fun and you'll be
able to take something so special home after working on it for a few days.
Number twenty-three, nightlife in Bali, the absolute best. Our faves are Mexicola, La
Favela and Fins Beach Club. Number twenty-four, another epic activity for the
adrenaline junkies is ATVing through the jungle. It can be found on Airbnb
experiences as well. Here's a 30-second break to share our favorite travel
insurance with you because you need it. As you can tell by the many activities
we're sharing in this video, a lot of accidents can happen. Our travel
insurance safety wing can cover you if you have a motorbike accident, fall at a
waterfall, fall off a quad bike, get bitten by a monkey, get heatstroke or if
you need any medical attention whatsoever. They can even cover you if an
airline loses your baggage or you miss a flight. We never travel without our
travel insurance and we've personally claimed from them three times so we can
confidently share it with you. If you do sign up using our link, they do give us a
little commission but it's no extra charge to you so don't worry. Definitely
check them out. Link in the description. Let's carry on with the video. Number
twenty-five, we're halfway there guys. This is to go and frolic in the
Tegalalang Rice Terrace and take those iconic jungle baby photos. This is what
makes Bali one-of-a-kind and make sure to go early in the morning. Number twenty-six,
Terta Empor Temple. If you're needing some eat, pray, love vibes and really want
to share Balinese spirituality and traditions with locals, bathe yourself at
Terta Empor Temple. The Balinese are more than happy to share this experience
with you. Number twenty-seven, Campuhan Ridge Walk. This is in Ubud and it's a
beautiful way to end the day in nature with peace and quiet and in cooler
temperatures too. Number twenty-eight, taste poop coffee. This is a Luwak and it
loves to eat coffee beans and poop them out and then people like to make coffee
with this coffee bean. We visited a Luwak coffee plantation and you can watch it
in the video linked above. Number twenty-nine, the Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple.
We highly recommend this one. You'll never see anything like it anywhere else
in the world so head down to Uluwatu Temple at sunset time to view this
beautiful dance. Number thirty, Balinese King Dinner Experience. Experience life
as the Balinese Kings once did with a feast at Tugu Hotel. Book way in advance.
Number thirty-one, a black sand beach. Another thing you'll never be able to do
anywhere else in the world is ride a kick-ass motorbike on a pitch black sand
beach. Head to the west of the island to Pigstone Beach. Your Instagram feed will
appreciate you. Number thirty-two, Double Six Beach. You'll probably end up here
anyway if you're a tourist like we did. This is Seminyak Double Six Beach with
cute little umbrellas, live music and cheap cocktails. Number thirty-three, silver
making jewellery. Something we weren't able to do but wish we could have done
is make our own jewellery at Sunstreet House of Jewellery or Agung Silver in
Siderman. Number thirty-four, a bicycle tour through local Bali. Want to learn
about Balinese customs, family orders, their daily lives and traditions? Do a
bicycle tour through a local village with a tour guide. Number thirty-five, a
mandatory lazy pool day is a must wherever you are. Odds are there will be
a pool wherever you're staying so grab a $1 coconut and just chill out.
Number thirty-six, shopping at a boutique store. This is mandatory as well. Support
locally owned clothing stores or pick up some locally made furniture to take home
with you. Number thirty-seven, Jatalui Rice Fields. Drive through this UNESCO
World Heritage Site on a motorbike or in a car. It's truly spectacular. Number
thirty-eight, Penglipurin Village. On your drive to or from the rice fields, pop
into one of the oldest villages in Bali for a quick stroll around and a quick
chat with the locals. Number thirty-nine, GWK Cultural Park. This statue is so big
you'll see it from the plane as you're landing. Take selfies with the biggest
Garuda statue in Asia and watch the sunset Kecak dance if you haven't seen
it yet. Number forty, pop into the Sunday Market at La Brisa where all the
locally and internationally owned businesses show off their products and
there's fresh food and snacks too. Number forty-one, Ahmed Beach. Take a stroll
around the seaside town with black sand beaches and epic views of the active
volcano on the island, Mount Agung. Number forty-two, if you're into ocean
activities, do a free diving, snorkeling or paddy diving course in Ahmed or Nusa
Lembongan. Number forty-three, play tennis or paddle at Tiga courts. This is where
Djokovic himself has played and where we often played a game of tennis. Number
forty-four, get a tattoo. Our favorite studio by far is Colony Tattoo. Number
forty-five, Korang Boma Cliff for sunset in Uluwatu for another fun and free
activity. Number forty-six, Tambligan Lake. This is in the north and it is beautiful.
The area is very local and you can stop anywhere around the lake at a local food
stand or a viewpoint. We even did strawberry picking nearby. Number forty-seven,
island hop to Nusa Penida, Geliti or Nusa Lembongan if you have the time.
They're neighboring islands to the island of Bali and each have their own
attractions that we wouldn't even be able to fit into this video. Number forty-eight,
stay in a tree house. Like a true influencer, book yourself one night in a
bamboo Airbnb slash tree house for the experience. An example is Magic Hills
Bali or the world-famous hideout if you can even get a booking here. Number forty-nine,
wakeboarding at Bali Wake Park. This is an adrenaline-filled activity, beware, and
make sure to book in advance. And finally, last but not least, number fifty is
karaoke in Jimbaran. If you've never been to Asia before or you've never done
karaoke in Asia before, you're missing out. You may as well experience it in
Bali with your mates and it's honestly one of my favorite things to do in the
whole world. And that's it, our top 50 things to do in Bali. We hope you
enjoyed this video. Comment down below if we missed anything. Funny enough, there's
still so much more you can do in Bali and we couldn't fit it all in this video.
We'll catch you guys in the next one. Goodbye!
