The top five best affordable villas in Bali. Let's go!
Now this might sound fake, but you can actually book a private villa in Bali for less than $10
per head. We found five secret villas that look like luxury resorts, but are cheaper than a budget
hotel. Think gorgeous pools, insane views, free breakfasts, and dreamy bathtubs. Villas that feel
five-star without that five-star price tag. And trust me, you'll want to watch until the end
because the last one is our ultimate favorite one. So let's go!
Now here's the thing. Bali has thousands of villas to choose from, but some of the best ones
are hidden. Our first Bali villas vlog hit over a million views, and since you guys kept asking for
more, welcome to part two. Hi guys, my name is Angelica Wanders, and this is Aileen Wanders,
and we create budget travel guides all around the world. After weeks and weeks of exploring Bali,
hopping from villa to villa, and testing out some of the most affordable villas we could find,
we narrowed it down to the top five most beautiful ones. But before we dive in,
please hit that like button, hit that subscribe button, and let's start off with villa number one.
If you're dreaming of waking up to those classic Bali rice field views,
Jenang Rice Terrace Canggu might just be your perfect hideaway for only $15 a night. Yes,
15 bucks for two persons. You get that iconic Bali scenery without the luxury price tag. The
property sits right in front of the rice fields, so every time you step onto your terrace, you're
greeted by a gorgeous stretch of lush green. Mornings here are a vibe. Tea in hand, nature
sounds all around, and Bali's calm energy. All while being just 10 minutes away from central
Canggu. And when the afternoon heat kicks in, you can just spend the whole day taking a dip in their
swimming pool, or chilling on the sunbeds. You can choose to stay on the ground floor with a pool
view, or the upper floor with a rice field view. But either way, you still get your own private
little sanctuary. The bedroom itself had this rustic charm with a mix of brick walls, wooden
accents, and smooth cement finishings. A nice balance between traditional and modern. The
interiors were simple but inviting. A big queen bed, a small counter to throw all your essentials,
a closet for storage space, and reliable wi-fi, which is always a plus. The ensuite bathroom was
surprisingly spacious, stocked with fresh towels, toiletries, and my favorite detail, a stone sink
that screams Bali aesthetic. They do provide free bottled water in the room, but there's also a water
dispenser in their shared mini kitchen, where you can refill your bottles for free. And if you're too
lazy to head out for food, no worries. Just order from the restaurant menu and they'll serve it right
on your private terrace. For breakfast, we got their classic Indonesian nasi goreng, and some
banana pancakes. Then for lunch, we tried the chicken curry, and again another nasi goreng,
because we loved it that much. They also got sandwiches and western dishes for delivery as
well. Trust me, you'll never get hungry here. For only 15 bucks a night, if you're staying in Canggu
and want that classic Bali rice field experience, Jenning Rice Terraces is definitely worth checking
out.
Well guys, this next villa was drop dead gorgeous. From the moment we arrived, the entrance alone felt
like stepping into an enchanted forest. Lush greenery everywhere, stone pathways, and that
serene Bali vibe. The name of this place is called Heaven in Bali, and honestly, they couldn't have
picked a better name, because just look at this place. Literal heaven. The staff welcomed us with
some fresh coconut juice, which instantly put us in vacation mode. Then they led us to our private
villa, and wow. For only 40 bucks a night, with free breakfast for two. The space was bright, airy,
and surrounded by glass doors, which meant tons of natural light flooding in the room. We had this
gorgeous white canopy bed that gave the entire space a dreamy fairytale-like vibe. There were
also thoughtful little touches everywhere. Cultural accents, storage cabinets, a small desk, cozy
bathrobes, and soft ambient lighting that made the room feel warm and calming. One of my absolute
favorite parts of the villa was the al fresco bathroom. It came with a bathtub and a shower,
all open to natural sunlight and cool breezes, with bamboo walls and greenery surrounding it.
It felt like bathing right in the middle of nature. Such a relaxing experience. But guys, can we just
talk about this view? Unreal. We had our own private terrace overlooking this tropical paradise, plus a
side lanai with a small couch and a table. Perfect to enjoy your free breakfast, which by the way,
they've got a really amazing flat white, and some delicious local and western dishes to choose from.
And then, the infinity pool. A stunning t-shaped pool facing the jungle. Literally the kind of view
you'd see on a valley postcard. There were pool beds perfect for lounging, and even dining tables
if you want to enjoy a meal with a view. Another thing we noticed right away was the weather. It's
definitely cooler up here compared to Seminyak or Ubud, since we're a bit higher up. But thankfully,
they provide bed warmers, which is such a nice touch at night. The entire villa complex is so
well designed. Every room faces the pool, and the walk-in paths are surrounded by beautiful ponds
with fish swimming in it. Everywhere you turn, there's something pretty waiting for you. Aside
from the free daily breakfast, there aren't many nearby restaurants for lunch or dinner. But honestly,
it's not an issue at all, since they have their own in-house restaurant. We ended up enjoying
all our meals right on our patio, and dining with that jungle view, chef's kiss. Overall, this place
is exactly what its name promises. Heaven in Bali. Private, peaceful, and absolutely gorgeous. If you
want to wake up to magical jungle views, this one is a total dream.
If you're after a more authentic, cultural Bali feel, Ubud Sawa Homestay is such a unique find.
It's a cozy little bungalow set right in the middle of the rice fields, and the whole place
just feels so calm and peaceful. We even made a few unexpected new friends, these adorable dogs
that kept wandering over to our villa. They were so sweet, and if you're a dog lover, they'll probably
make your stay even more memorable. The homestay itself is pretty simple, but has everything you
need. Our deluxe bungalow only costs $18 per night, good for two, with free breakfast. There is wi-fi,
so yes, digital nomads, you're safe here. But no TV, which honestly just makes it easier to unplug
and enjoy the surroundings. And the rice fields around you? Incredibly green and vibrant. Mornings
here are something else. Peaceful, quiet, and stunning during sunrise. It really makes you feel
connected to nature. The bed felt incredibly homey, with warm lighting and that classic
white canopy draped over. But one of the real standout features was the outdoor bathroom.
It's beautifully rustic, with a bathtub right in the center, perfect to chill after a long day.
With breakfast included, you can have it served right on your terrace, or enjoy it at their small
restaurant near the entrance. But guys, the real showstopper here? Their Thai menu. The owner
actually used to live and work in Thailand, and I swear, this was hands down one of the best Thai
red curries I've ever had. We literally ordered it twice. We also tried their Pad Thai and Thai
iced tea. Legit, authentic, and seriously, everything was so, so good. Eating all of that on our terrace,
overlooking the rice fields, was easily the best part of our stay. And as a bonus, you also get
free access to their nearby property pool, if you feel like taking a dip. Overall, if you're on a
budget, or maybe even looking for a longer, slower stay, Ubud Sawa Homestay is a great option to
just soak in Bali's natural beauty. If you've ever dreamed of staying in your own private
two-story villa without spending a fortune, Alia Boutique Homestay might be exactly what you're
looking for. Unlike the villas at Jenang Rice Terrace Chengdu that we featured earlier, where
you can choose either the first floor or the second floor, this is $28 per night for the entire
two-story villa. Pretty insane value. Location-wise, it's super convenient. Only about a 10-minute drive
from Central Seminyak, and since it's right along the main road, booking a grab or a taxi here is
super easy. This wooden aesthetic villa had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
On the first floor, we got a cozy living room and a mini kitchen, stocked with plates, mugs, utensils,
a water dispenser for unlimited refills, and even free coffee and tea. Definitely a lifesaver in the
mornings. The living area also makes a great spot to get some work done, and yes, the Wi-Fi was pretty
fast too, making it perfect for digital nomads. Heading up to the second floor, you'll find the
bedroom spotless clean with a super comfy bed and a smart TV, so you can easily watch Netflix or
YouTube during downtime. There's also a pretty big balcony, perfect for soaking up the morning sun
and getting a bit of fresh air before starting your day. The ensuite bathroom came fully stocked
with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and even pool towels. Speaking of which, right in the
middle of the complex, there's a swimming pool that's open to all guests. It's pretty small, but
really cute. Perfect for a quick dip or lounging on the sunbeds. Plus, if you're working remotely, it's
actually a nice spot to get some work done by the pool. They don't serve breakfast here, but that's
not really a problem, because there are a couple of nearby food spots, including Nook, which is a super
popular restaurant set right by the rice fields. And if you're into pretty dining spots like this,
we also have a separate vlog on our YouTube channel called the Top 5 Valley Restaurants
with Insane Views. Perfect if you're hunting for amazing food with breathtaking views. Overall,
between the wooden two-story design, the cute dipping pool, the accessible location, and the
crazy affordable price, Aaliyah Boutique Homestay is definitely a solid choice if you're staying
around Seminyak. Our absolute favorite one. Welcome to Nanggala Suites, a hidden gem tucked
right in the middle of Valley's iconic rice terraces. And I mean right in the middle. Literally
surrounded in every direction. The main road is about a one to two minute walk away, but if you've
got heavy luggage, they even offer a golf cart shuttle to take you straight to the suites. The
entire property is beautifully designed with walking paths and ponds intertwined all around.
Everywhere you look, there's water, greenery, and thoughtful landscaping. It really feels like a
peaceful garden oasis in the middle of the rice fields. The place has this quiet boutique vibe.
It's just a three-story building with only two suites per floor, so it never feels crowded. And
every single suite comes with its own private balcony overlooking the pool and rice terraces.
Zero bad views here. Now let's talk about our deluxe room, because wow, it was huge. The moment you
walk in, it just feels so open and breathable. For only $30 per night, you get a big comfortable bed,
wide glass sliding windows that let in a ton of natural light, a small desk with free coffee and
tea, and a smart TV for winding down with Netflix or YouTube. But the real highlight here, that
balcony. There are no railings, so there's absolutely nothing blocking that insane view.
Just you, your coffee, and endless rice terraces stretching out in front of you. The only barrier
is this small little pond of water lilies at the edge, which just adds to the whole aesthetic. It's
the kind of spot where you can sit back, slow down, and completely forget about everything else.
Inside the room, we had our own private bathtub with this little statue pouring hot water out,
perfect for a dip after a long day of touring, or in our case, after a long day of literally doing
nothing except jumping into their gorgeous swimming pool right outside. You can swim,
lounge on the sunbeds with a drink in hand, and just take in the views. There's even an elevated
jacuzzi area that gives you an even better vantage point, and honestly, you don't even need to leave
the property. They have an in-house restaurant right by the pool where you can enjoy all your
meals. And guess what? Free breakfast is already included in your booking. We got their berry
smoothie bowl, a classic western breakfast, plus fresh juices, coffee, and tea. All of this,
completely for free. For pool side snacks, we shared a BLT sandwich and a sweet ice cream banana
crepe. Also, just a tip, try out their orange juice. It's freshly squeezed, super refreshing,
and it's so good we ended up ordering it three times during our stay. But here's the main thing
that really sets this place apart. They offer free daily activities for their guests. We're
talking traditional Balinese attire workshops, making your own Balinese offerings, and even
guided walks through the rice terraces. All completely complimentary. It's such a nice way
to experience local culture without paying extra. For just 30 bucks per night, good for two. This
place completely exceeded our expectations. Between the massive room, the unreal balcony views,
the beautiful pool, your own pretty bathtub, the in-house restaurant, and all the free cultural
activities, we genuinely felt like we got way more than what we paid for. Nanggala Suites is 100%
a must-stay. So there you have it, our top five secret affordable villas in Bali. If you're
