Approximately 300 kilometers north of Tokyo, in the hilly Murayama district of Yamagata Prefecture, one can find manifestations of the countless spirits that roam all over Japan. Attracted by a spiritual story from her Japanese mother, Kanoa, the young woman took a journey to Yamagata to discover the sacred land where many worships and legendary statues depict life and death.
