Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
I have been sharing my health journey over on Instagram and just how I'm trying to give
my lifestyle a makeover.
I'm not doing anything crazy.
I'm just trying to be healthier.
I've been in a weight decline since July and since then I'm down a little bit over 25 pounds.
But again, I'm not doing anything drastic.
I'm really just trying to make healthy decisions every single day.
The last two months I've been documenting all of this over on Instagram, just trying
to hold myself a little bit more accountable.
So if you want to follow along there, I will have my Instagram handle right here and then
also linked below.
But I would say my most frequently asked questions are what I eat every day.
What kind of foods am I eating?
Am I cutting out any foods?
So that's why I wanted to make this video.
I wanted to start with breakfast, my go-to breakfast that I've been sticking to the last
few months.
I'm sharing my six favorite that I rotate.
I really don't eat anything else other than the six that I'm going to share.
As far as what kind of foods I'm eating, I have not cut out any food groups.
I want this to be a long-term thing, a lifestyle change.
And so I know if I cut out foods that is not sustainable for myself.
So I am just doing macros.
I have shared this before when I've talked about weight loss or just living a healthy
lifestyle.
Macros are what I love to stick to because you're not cutting anything out.
If you don't know anything about macros, I would go and look these up for yourself because
every person would have a different macro count based on their gender, their age, their
weight, what their weight goal is.
There's all kinds of factors that go into your specific macro count.
But as far as for me, I'm trying to get 130 grams of protein every day.
My carbs are around 170 and my fat is between 30 and 40.
That's kind of what my macros are right now.
And to track my macros, I use an app called Lose It.
So I will be sharing all of the macro counts as I'm showing you guys this different breakfast.
If you're not familiar with macros, you're probably going to be surprised at how high
carb all of these meals are because people think you can't lose weight or you can't be
healthy eating a bunch of carbs.
But that is so not true.
If you want to live a healthy lifestyle, you can eat all of the things.
You don't have to cut anything out.
Just stick to your calories and your macro count and you're going to see results.
Since I'm showing you guys my breakfast, I thought my morning supplement routine would
be helpful, especially because that's another big question I get all the time is what kind
of supplements am I taking and what are they doing for me?
So I'm going to get started with those first.
The very first thing I take in the morning is my collagen and I love this specific collagen.
The one I'm taking right now is the salted caramel.
I think I like the chocolate one better.
This collagen has added CLA in it, which helps inhibit fat storage.
The results people see on this stuff is amazing.
I just take it here on my spoon.
It's just one tablespoon in the morning.
And then what I add on the top is my favorite thing that I take.
This is called Traybiotic.
It's a probiotic, a prebiotic, and a postbiotic all in one.
And if you can see, they're like tiny little sprinkles.
They're tasteless.
They have no flavor to them, but they make this collagen taste really good because it
just adds a crunch to it.
If you are not taking a probiotic, that's actually the number one suggestion I would
have if you're on any kind of health journey.
This is specifically for gut health and our gut is referred to as our second brain.
I've been really researching a lot about gut health and how important probiotics are.
Serotonin, which is the happy hormone, 95% of our serotonin is produced in our gut.
And I've also seen a lot of people that have had dramatic weight loss, have all talked
about the importance of probiotics.
And just by fixing their gut health, they fixed so many other issues.
If our gut is imbalanced or sick, which most of our guts are, we're going to see so many
health issues.
So I always thought, okay, if I'm bloated, like that was a sign of a sick gut, which
definitely is, but there are so many other things.
And they can show up in so many different ways.
Different kinds of skin issues, autoimmune diseases are also started in our gut.
So there's so many reasons we need to be on some kind of probiotic.
So I will have my favorite one linked below.
I love this, especially if you are not a pill taker.
You don't like vitamins or you don't like taking pills, this is a great alternative
way.
And you can just put it on anything.
You can put it on a sandwich, put it in a drink, put it in a smoothie, whatever you
want to do.
So I love this option.
And then the next thing I take first thing in the morning after I do my collagen, my
probiotics is my greens, golds, and reds.
And I have them in a fancy container just because I'm extra.
These are just all of the phytonutrients that our bodies need and most of us are lacking.
What I've noticed is if I miss my greens in the morning, I just call them greens even
though it's the three of them.
If I miss them in the morning, I find myself way more snacky through the day.
So if you're needing something to help with that, I would suggest starting the day with
these three phytonutrients.
If you've ever had greens before, you know the taste, it's just very green.
If you add these reds to them, oh my gosh, the flavor is delicious.
So I do not add anything else to this drink just because the reds make it taste so good.
To get started, I'm making one of my favorites.
And if you are a McDonald's egg McMuffin kind of gal, then you will love this.
So I use the Thomas 100 calorie multigrain muffins, two slices of this honey deli ham,
some cheddar cheese, and one egg.
I make all of this on my griddle, which makes it super easy and quick.
And it literally tastes identical to a McDonald's egg McMuffin, but with healthier ingredients.
So here is the macro count for this meal.
I will be sure to have this for every single meal that I share.
The next meal is one of my absolute favorites.
It has 50 grams of protein, which is a lot of protein, especially for French toast.
So I start with four egg whites and I mix in one scoop of my cake batter protein powder.
I buy all of my protein from Clean Simple Eats brand.
They have perfected their protein flavors and they are so delicious.
Whatever the flavor is, it literally tastes identical to that.
But my favorite two would have to be the cake batter and the brownie batter.
You can tell I love batter.
For this meal, you could obviously use any protein, but cake batter makes it taste like
I'm actually eating cake for breakfast.
Now I'm using the Sara Lee 45 calorie wheat bread and I dip five slices of this into the
egg mixture.
For toppings, use whatever you'd like, but I love adding a dab of this fat free whipped
cream and the Walden Farms calorie free syrup with a few berries.
The next one is a really quick one and if I'm craving cinnamon rolls, this will hit
the spot for me.
I usually add a bar to it as well because it's such low calories and I want to make
sure I'm getting protein in with each meal.
But all I do is I pour the oats into a bowl, fill the pouch with water and I cook it for
90 seconds in the microwave.
Then I add a few Lily's white chocolate chips.
I get these at our Whole Foods store and then some fat free whipped cream and I let that
sit for a few minutes as it cools down and the chocolate chips just kind of melt into
the oats.
It literally tastes like a cinnamon roll.
The texture and everything is so yummy.
And then today I added a candy cane brownie protein bar.
Built bars are my go to for protein bars.
I love these.
I will have a link for their website below with a 10% off code.
The next one is my Kodiak protein waffle with eggs.
This is one I share all the time on my Instagram, but today I wanted to switch it up with a
snowflake waffle maker since it's Christmas time.
But I mix in one half cup of the Kodiak cake mix with one half cup water and then I will
just pour this into the waffle maker.
Then for the toppings again, you can do whatever you like.
I'm going to do a dash of the fat free whipped cream with some berries and Walden Farms calorie
free syrup.
But I did want to mention, I'm actually starting to look into other syrups, even though I love
this one, it tastes amazing, but I'm trying to eliminate zero calorie foods just because
of the ingredients that are in them.
Honestly, pure maple syrup, even though the calories are much higher, is so much better
for our bodies because it's real food.
So I know I'm showing you guys what I'm currently doing, but I wanted to add that in here just
because as I've been on this journey, my eyes have been open to the kinds of toxic ingredients
that are sometimes found in zero calorie foods and the diet culture foods.
The next meal is overnight oats and this is a new one for me.
I've only made this a few times, but they are delicious.
So if you haven't tried them yet, you have to try these.
The base of overnight oats are one half cup of rolled oats.
They have to be rolled.
They can't be the quick oats.
And then I'm adding in a scoop of the cake batter protein to make it a higher protein
meal.
But this isn't normally in the typical ingredients in overnight oats.
Again, I'm just adding them for more protein.
And then you're going to do chia seeds, one half cup of almond milk, and one half cup
of yogurt, and then a few teaspoons of honey to sweeten.
And we get our raw honey from a local farm.
It's so delicious.
You're going to mix it all together and then set it in your fridge overnight.
And then the next morning you can see how it's really thickened up.
You then add whatever toppings you want.
It really is so versatile because you can make this chocolatey.
You can make it fruity.
You can make it taste like cake.
You can do whatever you want.
I happen to have strawberries on hand.
I don't have a ton of berries right now.
They're kind of hard to find in stores right now.
That's why you're seeing a lot of raspberries and strawberries in a lot of my meals.
And then the last one is a breakfast burrito.
And for that, I'm just using one of these low carb tortillas.
I'm going to spread on one tablespoon of cream cheese, but I also do one egg, two slices
of this Canadian bacon, and then a little bit of spinach with some mozzarella cheese.
Again, breakfast burritos are really versatile.
So whatever you like, if you like peppers, I am not a pepper lover.
So I don't ever add peppers to my breakfast burrito.
So I'm just adding ingredients that I personally love.
I'm going to just throw this together, fold the sides over, cook it on both sides and
enjoy.
That's everything for this video.
I hope you guys enjoyed and you got some ideas on different breakfast, but thank you guys
so much for watching and we'll see you guys in the next video.
