The most BEAUTIFUL Castle in Europe? | Peles Castle

Today we are visiting what is arguably one of the most beautiful castles in all of Europe, but first We have to get there We just took the train from Bucharest to Senaia it was 40 lei which is about $9.25 the train ride was about an hour and a half Senaia is home to Pele's castle But first we have to drop off our bags so that we can walk there Don't eat all of it at once bite it up Well, if there's one thing we've learned bring a little bit of food in case there's a stray dog to feed I already love this city so much This place is beautiful Total price 3380 I saw these stairs as I walked out of the train station And I was thinking I Hope we don't have to go up that first thing Amber says is okay. We have to climb those stairs My lungs are my thighs And you thought this was no longer gonna be a hiking channel, huh? day three We had to go back down the stairs We are only here for a couple of hours to see the castle and the goal right now is to find some place that is Gonna take our bags just for the couple of hours Through our research online. They said that hotels will take them for a fee Okay, thank you and so we're gonna go back to the train station and find a locker For just under $6.00 they're gonna hold our bags for as long as we need it was 25 lei I don't even know if we're saying that currency correctly Lou or lei Lou lei and then you'll also see our own which is like Ron I Don't know who knows Off to the castle. It's time to accomplish what we came here for. What time is it? It is 1233 We have just under three hours To see what we want here This entire town is so quirky and so cute Every country we go to if somebody were to ask us, what'd you think of it? Oh, it's beautiful. It's great I don't know if we'll ever hit a country. We're like don't even bother If we do, I'm not sure we'll tell you anyways Maybe we never lied to you really I Really hope this is where we're supposed to go. I don't want to make that same mistake twice in one day Apparently you have to be careful of the bear pretty sure that's what that says And this right here is the exact reason we came to Sanaya This is Pele's castle This castle belonged to this guy right here King Carol the first who was the first king in all of Romania This was his summer home Funny enough the construction began because of Carol the first Yet he stepped down the exact year that this entire castle was completed The castle gets its name from Pele's Creek, which happens to run right through its courtyard Couple of random facts I read on the internet This was the first castle in all of Europe to have electricity and central heating The exact same heating that was used up until 2017 when it finally broke Normally, I'd be all for going and seeing the inside Sadly that's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays Today is Monday, and we totally knew that before booking the trip here today If we wanted to go inside it would cost just over nine dollars per ticket and an additional $22 to take any photos or videos which you're not even allowed to put out on the internet Thankfully capturing the outside is totally free I'm fairly certain. That's the creek that this castle is named after Goodbye Pele You're the most beautiful palace I've ever seen We've got a half hour to make it back to the train station and pick up our bags before our train leaves I don't remember how long it took us to walk up here. But my guess is it took about a half hour We are pushing it close Nathan's upset we didn't have time to eat Which is understandable Why I do this to us It was worth it. My calves are cramping up bad I'm just trying so hard to hustle and it doesn't matter because we're already late My best hope is that we don't miss the train We have to make it on the train to get to our Airbnb in Brasov tonight We made it Well that felt like a mad dash sprint, but we made it with 10 minutes to spare to get to our train to Brasov Why are the doors stuck? Still have no idea. This is the correct seat. We tried to sit in first class. I said no check this out We tend to enjoy trains more than planes for a couple of different reasons One you can hop right on hop right off no security and it usually takes you right into the center of town And number two you get to see the beautiful landscape that you're traveling through This has been incredible fall colors are beautiful, and I never knew Romania had this many mountains. I am in awe This was such a nice train ride, I love the fall so much that is definitely my favorite season All right, I don't know which direction we're supposed to go I want to follow these people Welcome to Brasov But as the locals call it, I think it's Brasov We have a mile and a half to our Airbnb And we just really don't want to hike that right now not with these bags. Our Airbnb host suggested an uber Normally, we wouldn't take an uber. Taxes are expensive We'll just walk find a bus something, but we tried the uber and it was nine Lou Lou la Rhone whatever they call it here, which is about two dollars Two bucks to save this lady from walking. Yeah, I'll take it So, where are you from? We're from America. Oh, yeah from USA. Yeah You never be here in Brasov before no no no if you Look on your left. You can see right there. It's like a big mountain there It's called Pimpa and there at Antenna is the place where you can go up with a cable car And then on the on the right of that It's you have a bigger writing with Brasov Like you know, I can in Hollywood. Yeah And most of the people walk all the way there because from there it's an observation point Looking all over the city. Yeah, it's quite Trying to get into your Airbnb can sometimes be a struggle But it really all depends on how good your host instructions are to get in a lot of times They'll meet you which is really nice. But during Colbert, it's nice if they can just let you in remotely or some other way In Bucharest, our host actually gave us pictures and showed us which door to go in and that was the most help we've ever had I just got a text that says look right on the bottom part I think he means this Who's supposed to know that that's there? I did not. It's a gnarly meow Their cats are so friendly. Oh my goodness, I Didn't look at all the pictures. Oh my gosh. I'm so excited.
