Best Conch EVER!?!? | Eating Through The Florida Keys

We just got off the plane from seeing Dry Tortugas National Park, but we're in Key West So we're gonna try some local delicacies while we're here. I'm looking forward to some conch and shrimp I don't know what conch is to be honest. I mean I can picture it, but it's slimy right? No, it shouldn't be slimy It'll be fried. It'll be it'll be in a little fritter like a little crab cake, but aren't conchs big? Some are, some aren't Alright, I really don't even know what conch is, but I do love shrimp, so I will be eating some of that I Parking is $5 an hour We're gonna start with the Key West beer American-style amber ale It's a beer What is going on with these birds? It's not something you expect They gave us a lime, so I'm gonna use a lime Naturally they come with a key lime aioli, fancy way of saying mayo These are fresh and hot It's really good. It's bready, but you can still definitely get the giant Pieces of conch in there. Got a little lime flavor to them too. These are really hot It doesn't taste like anything I haven't had before Like I would never know what was in this, but it's good Those had a little spice to them. That was good There was nothing crazy about it though, like it didn't have some weird texture or flavor It was just something fried and the sauce was really good, so you mix the two and it's kind of perfect The sauce was really good. Had a little kick to it at the end just a little bit You can definitely taste the small little hunks of conch, but they don't have a whole lot of flavor to them. Just saw an iguana Did I get a little toasty today? Looks like it. To get out of the hustle and bustle of Key West, we came to Keys Fisheries in Marathon, Florida We're drinking water because seafood is expensive and we're cheap This looks really good All of this is grilled It's hard to get out. You got it, bite the lobster. Last thing I want to do is flick some lobster around Is this supposed to peel off? Why is it so tough? There we go, yeah, look at that That's a good bite It's so juicy So juicy I'm gonna try some shrimp This is well-seasoned, honestly My first time trying mahi-mahi I don't notice a difference between any fish It's good, but Fish is fish to me Should've just taken her to McDonald's The difference with mahi-mahi and other fish is it's not as flaky, tastes more like chicken If you're looking for something that tastes like fish mahi's not your choice This is still really good So we stuck with water Just this plate was $34.95 They gave us a good covering of everything They were out of scallops, so they gave us a little extra shrimp Otherwise This is delicious We also got Key lime pie The last thing you need to try when you come to the Keys is key lime pie And on the menu it said homemade, award-winning key lime pie So we're here to try it Really limey, pretty creamy More custardy than I would've thought Still really good Apparently you need to get here a little earlier than 6 o'clock I think we got here at 5 and it was nobody I wouldn't say nobody, but we were in line for about 10-15 minutes
