North Shore of Oahu Eats + Beaches | Oahu, Hawaii Day 2

Kicking off day two with my favorite thing We're playing at kahuku golf course it was built in the 1930s. This is my favorite kind of golf The clubhouse is like a little shack cost 22 bucks to play here The the signs are just like hand-painted basically and Seven of the nine holes are along the ocean. We got out here for sunrise I'm in like heaven right now. It's so cool My swimsuit, this is what what it's all about for me. I don't care about the fancy Ritz Carlton golf courses. This is where I like to play. So I'm happy I We're at the sunrise shack, which is the cutest yellow little shack on the side of the road We got acai bowl this blue bowl, which I think has algae in it. It's gonna be super good. And then we got a Golden bullet and then a coconut bullet, which are basically bulletproof coffee So they have like MCT oil coconut oil all that fun stuff. We drink these a lot at home We're really excited to try their version of it But yeah, these bowls look bomb It's so refreshing They do that one's good. That's the coconut bullet. It's really sweet coconutty bullet eat This coconut one, maybe the best thing I've ever drank in my entire life no joke Go to the beach beach So we got to this beach and there were a lot of cars parked on the streets We thought it would be busy but look I Cannot believe we have this whole beach mostly to ourselves I don't know where everyone is, but it's their loss because this beach is absolutely gorgeous. The water is so blue. It's sunny. Oh Paradise I love it here We're at Kono's restaurant in Alaiba, I got the breakfast burrito it has pulled pork bacon eggs Guacamole sour cream cheese the works. I'm gonna give it a shot right now Breakfast burritos are my jam Whenever they're offered I usually always get them. So one of my favorite items to get this one's really good. The pulled pork is Beautiful, I'm gonna throw some salsa on it Got the guacamole jalapenos And I got the pork plate lunch, which is a bunch of pork which they roast for 12 hours I think I read some rice some salad. It's like papaya dressing in this guava barbecue sauce. I'm very excited My parents always said I'm not the neatest eater It's really good We love the North Shore of Oahu. We're in the town called Haleiwa. You got it, right? Yep, I really suck at pronouncing it, but I think I'm getting better. We had the best time here last time We were on Oahu. So we made sure we stayed here. We made sure we dedicated a whole day to this part of the island We just love the relaxed feel it feels a very small town. There aren't many big hotels A lot of surfers and a lot of beautiful beaches and a lot of cool shops. Yep Yeah So we're gonna go do a little bit of shopping and pick up some shaved ice and then head out to another beach So it's gonna be awesome. Oh, yeah We just had the coolest thing ever happened to us. We went into North Shore Surf shop, which is very hard to say and we met Willow Mae who works there We saw us earlier somewhere because our camera kind of stands out So she remembered us and she's actually looked at our vlog and our Instagram before which is the coolest thing it's the second time this has ever happened and Hold on, there's a truck And she was just the nicest we had so much fun talking to her So Willow Mae if you're watching you are awesome We wish you the best of luck with all of your future exciting endeavors, and we hope to keep in touch with you You are super cool All right, I got the Matsumoto with lemon coconut and Pineapple I believe and there's ice cream on the bottom condensed milk on the top I'm out of water. Oh my god, I Am so pumped. This is my favorite one of my favorite things about Hawaii I mean, I'd come to Hawaii alone just for the shaved ice So I have strawberry coconut pineapple with ice cream on the bottom condensed milk on the top. It's gonna be so good. I I'm so happy right now. Just give me shaved ice and I'm a happy girl You We are at our second beach of the day We just tried to go to a beach called Waimea Bay But when we got there there were no parking spots Which we kind of expected because when we came here five years ago, we had a really hard time parking as well So we decided not to waste our time before sunset and just kind of give up and go to a different beach So we're at Sunset Beach now, which was what our original plan to go to for sunset anyway So now we get more time to relax here, which is awesome. The beach is beautiful. It's not that crowded So tip if you want to go to Waimea Bay and it's super busy Just keep driving down the street because there's tons of awesome beaches just along the road that you can stop at They tend to be a little less busy than some of the bigger ones and they're just as beautiful So we're gonna relax here for a little bit watch the sunset and then go get dinner somewhere really delicious And now it's time to eat So plan A was to go get tacos in Hala'iwa, did I say it right again? Okay, sorry. Sorry. Sorry to anyone who's Hawaiian that I'm offending by not being able to pronounce the cities I'm horrible at pronouncing anything Hawaiian, even though I love this place so much So plan A was tacos and despite the place having awesome reviews, we were so stoked. We looked yesterday I thank God we did So we had some time to process the news and it said it was permanently closed and we were very sad Very sad day. So plan B is this Thai place that's supposed to be really good However, it's a little sketchy because we saw a couple different locations online. So we're hoping they're located here They're closed Very disappointing So plan C, we're gonna get burgers at Seven Brothers So a few years ago, if you know things didn't go according to the plan I had created I would have gotten really upset and it would have kind of put me in a mood for the rest of the night I tried really hard to plan things and I put a lot of hours into it So things don't go, you know as I thought they would I would get upset But new Catherine kind of lets things roll off her back a lot more so I'm not gonna let this get me down We will come back another time and we'll try all the places again So we're gonna go to this burger place and they are open right now and they have food So things are already going in the right direction for us We're here. It's a Shem Burger, which I don't really know what that means, but it has like Quark, bacon, cheese Looks really good, got lettuce wraps because I can't have gluten. I also got home fries And then we also got their Paniolo fries, which have like sauce, cheese, pineapple, bacon, and onion rings. They asked if we wanted two full-size order of fries and we said yes. Because we love to eat, but it is a lot. So we'll see. I got the Spencer burger. It has Swiss cheese, jalapeno, bacon, and like a blue cheese sauce I think. We got lettuce wraps because we wanted to be healthy, but we kind of have an issue on our hands here. We're going to do our best to try to tackle this, so here we go. So we really wanted a milkshake, but we've already had a lot of junk today. So we didn't get one, but they just brought us a free little mini one. The cute guy that works here just treated us so well. Adam and I both thought he was just so handsome. So full. So good though. That was a very, very good plan C. We both really loved our burgers. Fries were awesome. We didn't finish it, unfortunately, but we saved the rest of it for dinner in our condo another night. Good leftovers. Yeah, it'll go good with our steak and veggies. And the staff was super, super friendly, especially our favorite guy there. The really, just really nice looking man. He was good looking. I got lost in his eyes a couple times. Yeah, and everyone was just super nice, and they gave us a free little mini milkshake. Highly recommend it if you're in the area and your plan A and B don't work out, or you can make this your plan A instead. I'd say make it your plan A. Quality. Yeah, very good. Day 2 was fun and done. We had a really great day despite a few things not going according to plan. We absolutely love the North Shore. We highly recommend going to the North Shore if you're on Oahu. Please leave Waikiki and drive to the North Shore to get the more true taste of Hawaii. Speaking of Waikiki, though, we'll see you tomorrow. So, although it is a little bit more touristy, we do like going over there. So, we're going to spend the day tomorrow doing some hiking. We're going to the beach. We're going to get some more shave ice. And I'm going to try a food that I'm not sure I will like. Something that I never have eaten. Exciting. I'm going to try it.
