The Art of Raising Kind Kids
IBecky Goddard - Hill shared her three lessons about kindness : Firstly, no matter what is going on for you and no matter how miserable you feel. If you reach out with your kindness and help others, you will feel better. It will distract you from your problems and reconnect you with the world. Also, by making someone else happy, you make yourself happy. Thirdly, when kindness is noticed by others, it encourages you to be kinder more often.
If you want your children to be kind, then you need to role model kindness to them. Kindness is a real strength. How could we teach the kids to be kind? we need to show, not tell. they can see how we are kind to the world but don’t forget to be kind to yourself. Self-kindness is not selfish but it is self-caring.
When being kind. it is not only good for the world but for themselves too. Parents also teach kids how to be kind even when it is hard. Parents also share stories and inspirations about kindness heroes. We all rise with kindness and that is the most important gift you can give to your child for the world and themselves.
