Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville. Today we're going to be talking about ants. So let's look and see what amazing creatures they are. Ants are social creatures. This means that they live in group like communities. They have special jobs to do. The queen ant is responsible for producing more ants. Female ants provide food and they also protect the colony from enemies. Certain species of ants like the Messor barbarus store up seeds for the winter. They are called harvesting ants. Others scout for food during the summer and the workers take it home back to the colony for everyone. God has given us such a big lesson in these small amazing creatures. Hebrews chapter 13 verse 16 says, but do not forget to do good and to share for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Boys and girls, storing up food is great and it's also hard work. However, when someone who needs help comes along, let's remember to help them. Bye boys and girls. Thanks for tuning in. See you next time. That was so fascinating and we managed to make it back right on time to check in on Melissa. I wonder how her week went. Pastor Anastasia, you won't believe what happened to Sophie. It's terrible. Oh, what happened? She fell off the monkey bars and broke her leg. Now everyone avoids playing with her because she's on crutches. It's just not cool anymore. That's not right. God doesn't want us to discriminate against or treat anyone unkindly because they're different. In fact, God wants us to remember the golden rule of doing unto others as we'd have them do unto us by treating everyone kindly. Wait a minute. That reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says treat everyone kindly. Let me hear my friend Zay say it. Treat everyone with kindness. And our memory verse is found in Luke 10 verse 27 and it simply says love your neighbor as yourself. Let me hear my friend say it. Love your neighbor as yourself Luke 10 27. Great job everyone. I thought you would say something like that. Well, I want to do that but I just really want to fit in with the cool kids. Why do I feel like a Bible story is coming next? A Jewish man was attacked and robbed by bandits on his way to Jericho. They left him for dead. Not long after a priest came along but instead of helping him he crossed the road to avoid him. Later a Levi came by but he did the same thing. No one would help the poor guy until a Samaritan came along. He could have just passed him by especially because Jews and Samaritans were sworn enemies but he didn't. Instead he had compassion and helped him. The Samaritan went above and beyond by taking him to an inn and even paying for everything. The good Samaritan truly understood what it meant to treat everyone with kindness. Wowzers! If the good Samaritan could be kind to his enemy why am I struggling to be kind to a friend who truly needs help? Now you're tracking Melissa. It doesn't matter what the cool kids think.
