Holidays 🎄 in LAS VEGAS...during COVID ~ VLOG #184

Here we are. We're just about to check out our room. We got VIP because we are have status on Royal Caribbean so we get NYVIP. Nice. Huge bathroom. Cloth. Lotion. Never have lotion. And closet. It's huge. Door is fully flat so you can leave it open which is nice. Huge bed. Oh wow. That's a little firmer than I thought. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don't know. We'll tell you tomorrow. Look at this. Hey chairs for both Chris and I which is really nice. Oh hey those are really nice. Comfy chair for when Chris does his vlogging. And a goodie bag. Let's see what's in this. Oh huge. Big thing of hand sanitizer. Just what we needed. Oh and two masks. MJM masks. Oh we're we're in the club now. Nice. Is that all that's on our goodie bag? That's it. It's all. And the bag itself. I don't know what you're gonna use with it but okay. I'm not gonna lie. I don't want to be needy or anything but that goodie bag kind of left something to be desired. They let us check in early by three hours so we took the only room that they had that was clean. It's on the fifth floor so that's our view. You notice a lovely parking lot followed by a lovely wall and over the top of the wall you can see the street. But at least we don't have to sit in the lobby for three hours so I'm fine with that. Nice. Nap time. No we Starbucks time and then nap time. I cannot argue with that logic. We shouldn't judge before we try these. These are nice masks. They're comfortable. They fit your entire face. And they don't pop my glasses. Oh now that's a plus. Okay MJM I'm sorry for saying that your amenities kit was dodgy, shady, cheap, lackluster. The masks are awesome. Yes we were in Las Vegas. Yes we are staying at the MJM Grand. And yes we are eating backpacking food. And this Mountain House Italian style pepper steak is awesome. We had a bunch and went our bags easy so we got our food for the week. We were gonna go lay down at the pool and just read our books but we can't even do that because they're all closed. That's as close to the water as we can get. Wet Republic's gone dry but thank goodness Topgolf is open but we don't play golf. Statue of Liberty with a Raiders jersey and a mask. It's a Wednesday afternoon. Normally before COVID the strip would have been absolutely packed even though it's Wednesday but you know what kind of enjoying it. Yep. It's interesting though. It'd be nice to see it come back to full strength. I've always wanted to see her in concerts. It's on my bucket list. Chris was going to take me but it was canceled. I love the Christmas decorations in Vegas. This is all made of sugar. Over a ton of sugar. 20 pounds of glitter. 400 pounds of icing. waterfall back there but you know. It's beautiful. It's 2020 beautiful. Yeah. The Mirage has a really cool check-in deck. This H&M actually has a DJ. This one's 50,000 gallons. So I was hungry. I only wanted pho but all of the places we found for pho were a long ways away. We went to the lounge. Thank you MLA. And the attendant there had a great recommendation for a wonderful pho place. We had to call and make a reservation because of corona. Thankfully they had one available for right now. So we hopped in a lift and here we are. The lift driver was really nice. Food review is coming. First course lettuce wraps. Those are hot. That was good. Now that's jalapeno. The broth hits the spot. Warm and spicy. This is great. Time to eat. This is supposed to be the best taco place. Little tiny tacos. You knew this was going to happen. Christmas time. I call it Chihuly but I know it's wrong. That's all the line. This is worth waiting an extra day. Keep drinking this coffee. Like the thumbs up and subscribe. That was good. That was good.
