“Rumpelstiltskin” is a fairy tale associated with the childhood of many young people in the West. It was collected by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. The story begins with a lie.
To the King's attention, the miller said he had a beautiful daughter who could spin straw into gold. So the King asked the girl to turn a whole straw room into gold; he would marry her if she could or kill her if she could not.
Because of her father’s lie, the daughter was sad and cried in the room. Suddenly a tiny man appeared and agreed to help her in exchange for the ring on her finger. The daughter became Queen at the King's third request. But she promised the tiny man she would give him her firstborn baby to exchange for his help.
But after the baby was born, the Queen refused to give the baby to the tiny man. He agrees with the Queen's refusal if she can guess his name correctly.
So what is the name of the tiny man? Can the Queen keep her baby? Children, please listen to this story, and remember not to lie because lying will cause trouble for yourself and others.
