The ancient house's interior had a number of issues, not the least of which was that the floor joists on the second level were undersized. The staff of Jeff Sweenor spent a lot of effort providing them with reinforcement during the summer. Kevin receives a summary of what happened from Jeff.
The drop finial on the corner of the second floor is a classic illustration of the Queen Anne elements that should be preserved throughout the entire home. Tom Silva discovers Jeff setting one up.
The owners built a cabana at the back of the garage that opens to the backyard since they enjoy hosting parties outside. Tommy and Jeff install a special lift so the cabana window swings up easily.
Victorian homes typically have trim and paint colors that scream "Look At Me," and this home is no exception. Kevin talks with exterior painter Mike Moffitt and local paint expert Harry Adler to talk about the value of taking time to choose colors that highlight the architectural details.
