This video shows you the Renovation of a bathroom in the 19th-century Chateau de Lingourdy.

Amanda and Lincoln are in the middle of an epic bathroom renovation which is over 100 years old with water leaking. After the floor is removed, they can look at the hallway downstairs from their bathroom. All the wood beams which are holding up the bathroom floor need to be replaced. They will put some new beams in the wall and put new hangers instead of using the kind of original joints.

The entire ceiling in the downstairs hallway was expertly removed. The hot water pipe is the only thing still present. The drain pipe, which is located about exactly above the window, will be removed. Since they'll be making a trap door to enter the basement, they also need to remove the railing. They will have greater living space once the railing is removed. In the end, they plaster the walls and gather apples from the orchard to make cider.

Amanda and Lincoln moved across the world from their home in San Francisco California to buy and restore a petite chateau on 40 acres in the beautiful French countryside of Brittany. They are now trying to restore their 19th-century Chateau de Lingourdy. They plan on returning the gardens, cottages and barns back to their former glory (on a tight budget) and opening it up to the public for events and luxurious stays.
