Building an N Scale Retaining Wall Using Foam Core

The city is elevated three inches above the railroad on beaded styrofoam. I faced the foam platform's edge with a black foam core and capped it with veneer and paper strips. I want to isolate the city from the railroad and create a dark, ominous mass. ABS pipe and couplings created the subway portals and the smaller transportation tunnels. Everything was painted with concrete gray painted, weathered with India ink washes, and a heavy application of coarse turf. Additional weathering and foliage will be added in time - the areas competed first were done as they are connection points for the highway overpasses and will be difficult to detail later.
