4th Of July Decorations🇺🇸| Clean And Decorate With Me | Patriotic Decorations 2021

Hey guys, welcome back to our channel. Today's video is a clean with me video, as well as a decorate for the 4th of July. And I'll also be putting some of my Easter decorations away that I still have not done. So I know it's a little bit of a random video, but I thought since I needed to do a really good cleaning in the whole upstairs living area, that I would just film it and also show you how I decorate for the 4th of July. My goal here today was to get all of this done while Elliot was napping. So once he was showing me signs that he was tired, I made him a bottle and I went and put him down and he did stay down for the entire time I cleaned, which was really helpful. Last night I went to bed really, really early, like 8.30 PM. It was still really light outside. I was just so tired. So I woke up this morning to kind of a bit of a mess in the kitchen, which I don't like to do. I like to have my kitchen cleaned every night before I go to bed, but last night that didn't happen. And so I'm getting to my dishes this morning. I'm first putting away the clean dishes and then I will be filling up the dishwasher with all of the dirty dishes. I also have quite a bit of clutter all over in the kitchen. My boys love to color over on one of our dining tables. And so I'm just going to be putting all of the papers together, putting them in their room because we are going to be having family over for Father's Day. We do Father's Day here every year. We have for the past couple of years. So I just wanted to get this handled today since Father's Day is just a few days away. Our stove has been needing a deep clean for a couple of weeks now. So I'm going to be tackling that today too. And I know I've mentioned this before, but this degreaser by Method is my very favorite. It really gets the job done. I just spray it all over. And with a brush, it really gets all of the grease up. Another thing I'm going to show you is this pink stuff. If you have not used this before and you're a parent, you need to get your hands on this. It gets off permanent marker off the walls. It is like the magic stuff that I swear by, but this even gets those dark stains on your stovetop. It will get those right off as well. So I'm going to just zoom in right here and show you exactly how easy it is. I'm just using a paper towel with some of the pink stuff on it. And it really gets off any of those dark stains around your stovetop. Now I'm just going to be taking down all of the Easter decor that I still have up here in the dining room, which kind of makes me laugh because Easter has been over for two months now. I don't know why, but I just have a hard time like with that transition between spring and summer. I usually just leave my stuff up until I need to decorate again for the 4th of July or for summertime. But I really don't have just regular summertime decorations unless it's for the 4th of July. So I didn't want to decorate too early with a bunch of flags everywhere. I like to decorate on flag day. That's always something that I try to do is on June 14th, I will try to get all my decorations up for the 4th. And then I have at least a month to enjoy them. But every time I pull out my 4th of July decorations, what is so shocking to me is the next holiday we'll be decorating for is Halloween. I just, it's crazy. I try to keep all my decorations in order in my shed and downstairs in my basement. And so when I'm pulling out those 4th of July decorations and I see Halloween is right behind them, it just blows my mind. Like the year has just flown by. I can't believe that that's already the next holiday that we will be decorating for. I know I'll get some questions on some of these decorations. So I'll try to let you know where everything is from. This basket was actually thrifted and I got it a few years ago. And the runner that I have here is from Hobby Lobby. All of the little decor items are also from Hobby Lobby, but I did get them last year. I actually ended up going to Hobby Lobby today and there was hardly anything. Like they just had flags. They really didn't have any decorations left. So if you haven't made it to any store to get some decorations, you might be out of luck. But as you can tell, 90% of my decorations for the 4th are just flags. I am still doing 75 hard. If you don't know what that is, I have a video all about it but this is my last week. So I'm really trying to make sure I get my water in. I don't wanna mess up here on like day 72 and have to start all the way over again but I will have my final video of 75 hard here in the next couple of days. I don't have to remind them, they just come in every morning and they start checking things off. Kids love visuals and so for them to be able to see things getting checked off, it just really makes things easy for them and for you. The last thing I'm doing here is tying on these wreaths to the back of my chairs but I usually leave these wreaths up all year round and I switch out the ribbons for the different seasons or holidays and somehow they got mixed in with my Christmas, like I put them away when I was putting my Christmas decor away and I have really missed them. So I had Thomas find my garland box and thank goodness they were in there, I've really missed having these on the backs of my chairs but I get asked all the time, these are actually from Hobby Lobby and they are in the wedding section so they're not like your typical wreaths but you can find them in the wedding section at any time of year and I just love having these hanging on the back of my chair no matter the season. I wanted to show you an up close of this flag, it's actually just a scarf that I ordered off of Etsy, I will have it linked below for you guys if you're interested in this but I really love the look of this and I feel like it looks like an old vintage flag. This mug was actually something I picked up today at Hobby Lobby, it was one of the only things that they had for the 4th so I had to grab it.
