Goa - what comes to your mind at first?

Goa - what makes it the most attractive holiday destination?

Whether the sandy beaches, gently swaying palm trees, hippie markets, dance parties, well there is much more that is unique about Goa.

For us Goa is to sit quietly at the side of beach to watch and listen to waves, to roam in the local markets and look for authentic Goan stuff, experiencing different cuisines from fine dining to local cafes, being vegan is not easy so stocking vegan stuff too and also enjoying the relaxed vibes of Goa.

In this Part of South Goa vLog I have covered -

1. The Fisherman's Wharf which is one of the must visit place when you are in Goa, set by the bank of River Sal this place is excellent for it's ambiance, location, good food and of-course it is really pocket friendly. We visited this place for lunch, though the place is not a vegan friendly place but does offer really nice Gaon vegetarian curries from which I have ordered Veg Xacutti - a traditional Goan dish served with steamed rice.

2. Margao Market - which is like a wholesale market in any city, you will get cheaper rate here. Since this the one huge local market for the city it is not maintained much, we decided to buy our stuff from vendors outside near the parking area.

3. Dolphin Spotting & Watching - on the way to Islands, the boat people takes you to dolphin stopping zone as well where you can see dolphin skipping through the waves, carefree and unrestricted.

4. Palolem Beach, Butterfly Island/Beach, Honeymoon Island/Beach - We booked the boat to see the 2 islands which we boarded from Palolem Beach itself. This ride cost us around 3000 bucks for a private boat, I know this is on a bit higher side but if you hire's a shared boat it may cost you around 1,400 to 1,500 bucks. The boat provider also told us that they only offer private boats during this time of season when the tourism is not high.

Palolem Beach - I must tell you that this beach is more beautiful when see it from the boat while returning back to the shore, the beach is in an arc shape and lines with towering coconut trees which makes the whole sight so magnificent that you won't stop admiring the view.

Palolem Beach is also been ranked number 8th in the category of world's best beaches by TripAdvisor for its beach hut accommodations. which means lots of staying options are also available on the beach front as well.

At the butterfly Island you see water level a bit high at the shore due to which stopping the boat here is not possible, this island is named butterfly island because of the two adjoining mountains resembles the shape of the butterfly wings and hence the name,
You can easily step down on Honeymoon Island as the beach is easy to stop the boat and have some time spent there, do know that there is nothing much to do as in there are no restaurants.
This ride takes around 1 hours.

This is all been covered in the part 1 of Episode 1 South Goa vLog, stay tuned for the next episode coming soon on my Channel right here with more about things to do in South Goa.
