*MAJOR* SPRING CLEAN WITH ME 2022 | Episode 1

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today I wanted to take you along with me as I start the spring cleaning process in my house. So because this is such a process, I wanted to break all of my rooms up over a few days span just so I can really spend a few hours each day getting everything really, really cleaned. And today I'm going to start out in my laundry room and my living room before I can even get to the cleaning part of the laundry room. I have a ton of laundry I need to catch up on to clear out the room. So for those of you who are new to my channel, there are six people in my family and we have four little boys. So laundry piles up really quick in our home. I have to do a minimum of one load every single day to keep up. So if I miss three days or more, like I did on this day, I basically spend the entire day doing laundry. Now we are going to get into the laundry room and clean every square inch of this place. I actually created a six page checklist for all of the rooms that I will be spring cleaning and I have them listed in my Etsy shop for just $1. The first thing I wanted to clean was my washing machine and I love these little tablets. All you have to do is stick two in the drum, turn on your cycle and you're good to go. I thought I would want to start with this so it would be self cleaning while I worked on the rest of the room and then I can give it a good wipe down inside after it's done. I do have to say our washer and dryer are just about 10 years old now. So we are possibly in the market for something new. We've loved these machines and haven't had any problems. But if you guys have a favorite machine, I would love to hear from you guys. So please let me know in the comments below what machine you guys can't live without. Now I'm cleaning out the lint trap. And this might be the lintiest I've ever seen this. So this made it for a great before and after. But after I clean it out, I'm going to vacuum any of the lint from the lint trap that's fallen down from previous loads. Now I'm going to wipe down all of my cabinets and go through my baskets and organize. I was actually looking for extension cords yesterday and I completely forgot that I had moved all of our cords into this basket. So this is another reason I love to spring clean because I always find things that I thought I lost or I forgot where I put them. The next thing I'm doing is moving out all of our seasonal snow clothes. And this has been a great place to keep them during the winter because it's near our back sliding door where our kids just dump all of their wet clothes. So hanging them here to dry off has been really nice, but I am excited to finally clear this out. I feel like these snow clothes have just made it feel really extra cluttered over here. So I'm excited to get rid of them. Now I'm going to sweep the floor, then vacuum to get any of the small particles that I wasn't able to pick up from the broom. And then I will be steaming the floor and I always get questions on this mop. So I will be sure to have it linked in the description box. The last thing I'm doing is dusting the corners of the room and light fixture to get all the cobwebs down. And then before I show you the after, I wanted to remind you of the mess that we started with today. Now here's the after. I love nothing more than when this room specifically is completely spotless. I feel like it motivates me so much to keep up on my laundry. So it never looks like that again. Moving into the living room. I'm starting out by dusting all the corners of the ceiling and the ceiling fan to remove all the cobwebs and the piles of dust. I should have started with this in the laundry room because I'm sure a lot of dust fell onto the ground. So I wanted to make sure I did this before I cleaned anything else. The next thing I'm doing is removing the curtains and I will be throwing these into the wash and then cleaning the windows and window seals. I'm only dusting a little bit on the shelves and TV because I just wiped everything down when I decorated for spring. And since I do full blown decorations for just about every holiday, I feel like it doesn't really get too dusty in here because I'm doing it so frequently. Now I'm going to clean the vents in the living room and I like to vacuum any noticeable debris and then wash the vent covers. I washed all my sofa covers about two weeks ago. I was actually talking about that on Instagram if you follow me over there, but right after I got two chocolate spots on here and so I just need to spot treat these today. And then after I do that, I'm going to remove the cushions and vacuum beneath them. Now I'm just sorting through all the toys in this cabinet and I try to keep up on this weekly so it's not too bad right now. But I notice Elliot stays really occupied here if the toys are nicely organized rather than in a huge pile of clutter that he has to sort through. The last thing I'm doing here is vacuuming the carpet and then I will be shampooing the carpet with our Bissell. Alright guys, well that's everything for this video.
