In this video, the wastage of construction materials is explained. The allowable percentages is also explained.

Concrete Materials:
Concrete pouring or placing time & during loading, transportation lot of concrete it will be waste. So normally concrete wastage 3% considered.

Tiles Materials:
Tiles loading, transportation and placing time lot of broken and cutting it will happen.

Tiles wastage normally 5% Considered.

Paint Materials:
Paints applying at the time some paints it will fall on the ground.so during time wastage it will be happen.

Paints wastage normally 2% Considered.

Granite Materials:
Granite materials loading, transportation and placing time lot of broken and cutting it will be happened.

Granite wastage normally 5% to 8% will be considered.

Bricks Materials:
Bricks materials loading, transportation and placing time lot of broken and cutting it will happen.

Bricks wastage normally 5% will be considered

Cement Materials:
Cement materials loading, transportation, mixing, shifting & placing time lot of wastage it will happen.

Cement materials wastage normally 1.5% to 2% will be considered.

Coarse Aggregate Materials:
Coarse aggregate materials loading, transportation and placing time lot of wastage it will happen.

Coarse aggregate materials wastage normally 5% will be considered.

Fine Aggregate Materials:
Fine aggregate materials loading, transportation and placing time lot of wastage it will happen.

Fine aggregate materials wastage normally 10% will be considered.

Structural Steel Materials:
Structural steel materials fabrication time lot of cutting and wastage it will be happened.

Structural steel materials wastage normally 5 to 10% will be considered.


Allowable wastage of construction materials

1. Cement – 2%
2. Concrete – 2% to 3%
3. Sand - 10 %
4. Steel – 3%
5 Structural steel - 5%
6. Tile – 5 %
7. Aggregates – 5%
8. Bricks – 5%
9. Blocks – 5%
10. Paint – 2% to 5%
11. Granite – 10%
12. Marble – 10%
13. Shuttering ply – 5%
14. Morter -1 to 2%
