Hello guys, welcome to my new video, today I decided to talk about my favorite books,
there is a bunch of them, so that's all that I was reading recently, and I wanted to speak
a bit about it, so let me know in the comments below are you a reader and what do you like
to read, and of course what was your latest book that you read.
I would start with Caitlyn Webb, it's called Invisible, it's in Croatian language, and
it's about love, about murder, and it's in London.
So this one, to be honest, I started really at the end of the book, I almost read it,
and it was a good one, I must say, I like it a lot, and tell me where do you usually
read, sometimes I read in the airplane, or I just watch Netflix, also I love to read
when I travel, then when I have, let's say, the most of the time for the books, or in
the morning if I'm drinking a coffee in my yard, during the spring or the summer days
then it's the best for me to read, on the sun, with a coffee, to take an hour in a day
to read.
And from any book I can say that it's always good to read and to learn something new, and
just like, learn to exercise your brain cells, and I can say this is a good book.
Another one that is also in Croatian, it's by Peter Curley, My Life Is A Lie, I didn't
read this one, to be honest, so I hope that I will start these days, so if you're already
new for this one, if you already read it, please write me down in the comments how is
it and what did you like most about it, or if you don't like it, why.
Also, this Invisible, please, I like this.
The next one, it's not actually a book, it's a travel guide, and it's from New Zealand,
I got it at Lonely Planet, so I was actually planning to move to New Zealand for a longer
time, and I was actually planning it for a longer time, I was searching the possibilities
for Croatians, what is the procedure, how to get a visa, and everything, but at the
end I didn't do it, I don't know, to be honest, why, but I read a ton of books like this,
and a lot of Facebook groups about the procedure and everything.
I was also between New Zealand or Australia, but then I realized that New Zealand is more
for me, more than Australia, and that I'm more that kind of person.
So it's also good, because with some books you realize maybe some points of your life,
or maybe you get a clearer picture where you want to go or to move next.
That happened to me with Spain, I also got a guide from Lonely Planet,
and I actually moved to Spain, I lived there for one year, but I lived in Galicia and Santiago
and my first video on the channel was from that town, so quite nice memories.
And when I go back, I'm not sure that that's for me anymore, at least that part of Spain,
but here you can, guides always find some good tips, or maybe if you don't want to move or if
you don't want to visit a certain country, at least you can dream and learn about some new
cultures, about traditions and new places through the books, at least that if you are not able or
if you don't want to travel to places like that. Also, I remember that was the first book that I
read in English language, it was Madame Bovary by Gustave Albert, and it was the first book that
I received in English, it's on they said advanced level, level six, and that was my first English
book that I read. I remember it was in the first grade of high school, I was like 13-14 years old,
and then I wanted to improve my English, since I'm learning it since I was four years old,
and I never read a book, you know, I always, all that I have was only the grammar books,
some movies and the regular school program, where we have two or three English classes per week,
which is nothing, I think, and so I received this book from my English instructor with who
I was practicing English every week, at least for one hour, and she told me that the best way to
practice another language is to read a book in it, and she gave me this book. So, thanks to her,
I love English even more today, and certainly it's a good book, you should read it. If you are
not able to understand it in some other language, then first my advice is to get it in your language,
but always you need to try, and if you're learning a new language, to start with a good book.
Then, the things that we always get from some places can also be books. This happened to me
with this book, The Legitators, from John Griezmann, and that book I bought in Malta,
and if you are here for the first time, or if you know me for some longer time,
I lived in Malta for four months, and it was the best summer in my life, and I think that
it will always be. It's hard that the better one will come, but hey, never say never.
So, that's one of my favorite books, and I got in there. I remember when I was on my way to the
beach one day, and I was really in a bad mood, so I stopped in the bookshop, and I got this one,
and I read it in one afternoon at the beach, and I really like it. It's about the street
lawyers and street rules, and it has really a lot, 436 pages, but
my recommendation, if you didn't read this one, you should.
The next one that I'm still reading, I have my note, is Emma from Jane Austen,
and this one I always read when I travel too, and when I'm on my way to work, or when
I'm on my way to the college, as now for almost two, three years, I think,
I am doing some combinations in my life. I'm getting a bit of a regular job, I'm doing
freelancing, so when I'm on this regular one, and if I need to travel by public transport,
then I choose this book to read. So as you can see, I'm not traveling enough, so I'm still
on the page number 58, and it has 500 pages, so I should use public transport more, obviously.
Also, the book that I love to read, Where Did She Go by Gayle Forman, it's also in Croatian
language, and I read it, it's not such a long, well, 200 pages. This one, I was also reading
on my way to work, and in my yard with coffee in the mornings, and I love this book, I read it
three times, so my recommendations, if you didn't read it, I'm sure that it's also in another
language, at least in English, so be sure to find this one. Also, a book that
reminds me of nice travel in my life, it's Paris. I got it, it's actually a tour guide.
I got this one from my friend in 2013, I think, for my birthday, because I was planning with her
to visit Paris, and we were planning that trip for at least four years, but then it didn't happen.
Actually, at the end, she went on her own, and I went on my own. We went to visit that city
separate ways, which I truly regret even today, but it's an amazing city, it's a nice city, it
was my number one city, and always on my bucket list number one, and I always make jokes when I
visit Paris, and the second one when I visit New York, and I can't die, then I saw everything,
and all the other things, all the other places. If they came, they came, if not, they don't,
I don't care. That's my two biggest wishes, to visit Paris and to visit New York. Paris,
I crossed, so only New York left, and the latest book that I wanted to share with you today
is the book that I also, it was also given by my friend Ray, by L.A. James.
I got it from my friend from Germany, and I met her in Malta, during my life in Malta,
it also had 550 pages, and I got it by her,
in, I think on our last date, before I left, so yes, I have now one, two, three, four, five,
six, seven, eight, nine, ten books that I wanted to share with you today, and for some of them,
I have personal strong story, so they're for sure nice memories for me, and I have more books,
a lot of books, but maybe like this, if you like this video, let me know in the comments,
and maybe in my next videos, in the near future, I will share more books that I have, and
more recommendations. So that would be all for today's video, and see you next week in the next
one. Until then, like, comment, and subscribe to my channel, and see you next week. Bye!
